Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great game, but game case was scratched. My son loves this game and enjoys playing it. The game itself is fully operational, but the case and the graphics on the disk were scratched. I've bought used items before through Game Stop and I've never received a product that has so much visual wear and tear. Other than the cosmetic appearance of everything, I'm completely satisfied with the game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Budokai is back! This "collection" is rather pretty good. With Budokai 3 and Budokai 1, this collection should bought by any DBZ fan. The downside of this collection was the replaced music, but you can always replace the music. Both games are far more improved in graphically terms than the originals. However, Budokai 1 and Budokai 3's cutscenes and intros are still in their original 4:3 format, so you better expect some borders! Despite the lack of online gameplay, this is still a worthy collection to purchase (it seems very hard to add an online option for games released in the early 2000's) .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesomeness to the max This game is really awesome. Its all about the balance Dragonball Z games that first went to the PS2 and gamecube. The only bad thing about this is the original music was replaced by the Dragonball raging blast soundtrack (witch by the way isent bad)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DBZ Budokai HD Review First off I would like to just say I'm only disappointed in 2 things no online multiplayer and no Budokai 2, this made me the most angry because it was not a complete HD series. Anyway the graphics were slightly updated from the original series and they still looked decent so I was happy with that and it brought back some fond memories. The sound was good no real glitches but I has disappointed at no jap. audio for Budokai 1. The game play is smooth and was super fun being the traditional fighter one vs one. and the attacks were actually pretty fun and flashy. This game provided me with many hours of fun and is a definite must buy for any DBZ fan. I give it an 8/10 and would recommend it to most people

Rated 4 out of 5 by from the same game but with a fresh coat of paint Its quite common place nowadays to see an old game or a classic franchise being rereleased in HD and sometimes it goes well and sometimes doesn't but sometimes you might come across a game that you never think would be rereleased thats the case I got when seeing dragon ball z budokai hd. The first thing you notice is that you only get two games on one disk dragon ball z budokai and budokai 3,the second game is completely absent from this collection for reasons unknown, when starting the game you choose which of the two play and start from there, now since this is an hd collection you gotta talk about the visuals and its kinda hard to tell it looks a little cleaner but doesn't look different from its ps2 counterpart and it definitely shows that this is a ps2 game with pretty simplistic cut scenes the voices are still top notch with the original voice cast left unchanged but some of the music has been changed but that's not bad. the game-play is still the same simplistic but fast fighting action that does a good job in capturing the essence of the show with the first game being pretty simple but effective set up and the other game having a more greatly improved system over its predecessor, the controls fit seamlessly to the next gen controllers with none of buttons being switched to some awkward spot, the one problem that I do have with game and its kinda of a big one is the lack of any online play and also being an update to an old game you would think there would be some additional content but no its just the two games but overall they are both still pretty good games to relive some nostalgic moments in your childhood

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is Awesome I am a huge Dragon Ball Z fan, i have watched all of the episodes from the first season, i like everything about Dragon Ball Z, my favorite characters is Goku, Gohan Goten Vegeta and all of the other good guys, i will never stop being a Dragon Ball Z fan. Let me talk about this, i like the game play because its easy and i only have to press a few buttons. On Dragon Ball z Budokai 3 i have unlocked SSJ 4 for Goku and Vegeta i have unlock Gogeta Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Vegito and i like that because people can't defeat me and i like the way the designers made them because they look just like the anime, and i never had Budokai 3 for my Nintendo GameCube, so i am very happy to be able to play Budokai 3, one thing is i like is the dragon rush because i like to guess which buttons my friend is pressing so i can press the same and block his attack, the sound is awesome and so is everything else, one thing i don't like is they didn't add Budokai 2, that would've been awesome, but i don't care, this is awesome !!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from How a DBZ game should be done Dragonball Z Budokai HD Collection consist of 2 of the best DBZ games ever made. That being Budokai 1 and best of all Budokai 3. What made these games stand out from the rest of the DBZ games were: Budokai 1 was the first DBZ game to be made a successful fighter and Budokai 3 is considered one of the best dbz games so far. The gameplay is silky smooth and fast paste and feels like the animated series (mainly appeals to Budokai3). The graphics are great. Not as good as the new DBZ games but Budokai 3 graphics still stands tall, and looks pretty good and sharp even until now (good job). The sound is probably the only bad this game has to offer. Soundtracks are feel awkward and should have used the old nostalgic ones in the original versions. Aside from that DBZ budokai Hd collection is just great and very satisfying for dbz fans looking forward to replay good old times. The disappointing thing this game did, was the lack of online gameplay. This would have made the game a lot better seeing this is one of the best dbz fighting games out there. Overall this is a good dbz game and can satisfy both fans and non fans. TRY IT.
