I thought that only awesome Dragon Ball game was Battle of Z but I think this game is going to top that one.

Rated 8 out of 10 by OmeQuicksilver Good but flawed
This game is a massive step above Ultimate Tenkaichi. The combat is better, being more akin to Raging Blast. There's a wide variety of moves and items for your custom character this time, encouraging replayability. The games only real flaw is it's randomness. EVERYTHING is random. The move tutors will randomly spawn, taking possibly hours to get them to appear after you've unlocked them, and there's no way to check where they are short of running through the entire map(atleast it's small). The rewards for the quests are not only random in what you get, getting them is random at all. You can get the highest ranking on a quest and be rewarded with nothing, yet barely squeeze by another and get half a dozen items there's no rhyme or reason. Even the quests themselves are random, you can meet the criteria to advance the quest to it's second stage and it simply won't do it. Everything is up to a random roll of the dice. Be prepared for MASSIVE amounts of grinding if you want to get a specific move/item from a quest.

Rated 9 out of 10 by Fawkes Best Dragon Ball Z game in a long time.
I thoroughly enjoyed Xenoverse in its character customization and good gameplay,, and i didn't experience many bugs if any on day one. I liked how the character customization allowed for many different looks but in the end most every character felt the same. the only difference in the races you can chose are certain movements and slight stat differences. overall though it is a good game i would highly recommend it though after one playthrough it feels a bit stale to try replaying.

Rated 9 out of 10 by MooGooToPoo Must Have For DBZ Fans
I've been waiting for another good DBZ game since Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and this one really fits. The character creation is great, the amount of customizations is incredible and the story is amazing in my opinion. A lot of people were not too happy with the character roster, expecting more, and I honestly was expecting more as well, but after you fully get used to your custom character you really don't notice it. I think the only downside to this game is that the fighting is a bit clunky, and that is something minor for me. Overall 9/10

Rated 0 out of 10 by Bardockthesupersaiyan i hope ss Bardocks in this one!
as a huge dbz fan i own every game they have released from the older games to battle of z. only a select few have a place in my heart, like number one being budokai 3, tenkaichi 3, and burst limit. from friends to foes ive beatr em all with my man Bardock. you all prolly seen me on battle of z lv 999 with ss Bardock or Bardock. Bardock has always and will be my favorite character in the cast because i see alot of him in me and his attitude and will of the fight. but it would make me happy to be able to play his alter ego once again since his debut in 'episode of Bardock my favorite Dbz movie!!! so for everyone out there who wants to enter in this world tournament i only have one thing to say " dont underestimate a sayian and im gonna change the future outta my way!!!

This is a great games. Perfect for DBZ fans. Everything is awesome. You can truly feel like a character from the Dragon Ball universe. Gameplay can be easy but they do get hard. The difficulty of the game is just right.

Rated 5 out of 10 by OmeQuicksilver Oh man
After playing through this to the end I had hope for this game I really did but there's so much bad. The AI is cheap and in some levels borderline broken(spamming Ultimates back to back without end while invincible), the drop rate system is so laughably bad you can spend entire days replaying one quest and not only not advance it despite meeting the requirements to a T, but without ever getting any items. They couldn't even bother to get the characters subtitles to be anything NEAR what was being said much of the time. Good luck finding the tutor you want they random spawn and despawn at random locations on the map and the only way to check is to run through the overworld because you can't just pull up the map screen and check for them. The online connectivity is at best, spotty and at worst non-existant. The created characters, while having a decent variety will always be noticeably weaker then any AI character even at max level. There's no real way to talk to anyone online unless you use a chat, as the game itself has little to offer. Ny the time you hit max level all you'll remeber is the endless hours of grinding over and over again, just for XP to beat a chapter just to grind over and over again for the next one. The game is all the hassle of a grind fest with NONE of the rewards. Better then Ultimate Tenkaichi, but worse then raging blast 2.

Rated 0 out of 10 by GreatAether In- game transformations are back?!
One of the many mistakes that all the previously released dbz games was the fact that they did not have in- game transformations... however with the new videos i've seen it looks like they are bringing it back! finally!! To me it makes the games lack their dbz element of powering up. battle of z was ok, but another element it lacked was a defense system. while pounding someone with an unanswered 15 hit combo is fun and all, i cant say its the same feeling when im on the receiving end of one. dbz is all about lighting fast combos, powering up, transforming, and evading attacks, so i hope they find a perfect balance in this game to make it feel like a true dbz game.
