This game is perfect for: casual gamers

The story elements are portrayed quite nicely but like the raging blast titles before it shoots itself in the foot for the repetative combat that is virtually identical for each character. I suppose it is worth renting through a service but is not worth buying. If it be a DBZ title you seek I recommend you get a PS2 and Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

the game is in some ways easier for new gamers to play and allows them to actually have a chance against dbz bt3 veterans like me. the graphics are about as close to the anime as you could get without it being so, it has a lasting appeal with each opponent online ( and cpu) / friend being unpredictable and exiting, and when you are near the end the tables can turn in your favor or against you which keeps it fun. the sound is simply amazing and haven't been disappointed at any time with it. hope they're making a sequel with a larger roster like cooler, bojack ect.

Ok. For everyone who thinks this game is pure button mashing, you're wrong. It's only button mashing when you are trying to recover. And for everyone who thinks Hero Mode sucks, you are clearly just NOT a DBZ fan. EVERYONE has been wanting Character Creator for SO LONG. It has plenty of items, SO MANY BOSS MOVES, and you can even choose your VOICE. And the gameplay is strategy, not button mashing. Thats only when you can recover, like in every DBZ game.

ok i am a die hard dbz fan since it first came out in america. i agree that it isnt a complete button masher. but what i dont like about the recovery is that you have to find the time to charge up in order to defend yourself and if your not charged enough your basically dead. in the older games you were also able to dodge attacks no problem this one you cant at all. and as for hero mode again i agree everyone has wanted a character creator. besides the fact you can learn "SO MANY BOSS MOVES" and choose your own voice, you can only learn like 3 moves. when you start the hero mode you can barely train yourself to fight harder bosses through that story like a great ape or omega shinron. when you complete a battle you gain like little to no exp and then it takes freakin 20 minutes to be able to build up your spirit gauge to use a simple kamehameha and your hits barely do any damage to your opponents compared to actual characters in the series. as for other reason why this game was horrible was the fact they took everyone out that you used to be able to play as. for example, how are you gonna have ss4 gogeta without ss4 goku or vegeta? and they refer to other people in the series but dont have them in it. the sound would be glitchy from time to time after a blast of some attack. and the voice acting for the cut scenes were atrocious. the controls are too easy to master. the game is more of a guessing game if anything with spoon fed controls. and the timing for like teleporting is so lagged out it never works. the only thing i can say was good about the game was the graphics. it had beautiful graphics. but good games cant only run on great graphics. thats why there are a lot of haters.

I got this game for $50 bucks, and let me tell you, it was worth it. The graphic and gameplay are great. You can custimize your own character. You have a training mode, story mode, and a hero mode for the character you just created. This game is worth $50.

This game is a great fighting game, although Budokai 3 beats this game in EVERY aspect.. This game is more chance on who wins.. It's almost like button mashing to see who gets more lucky. I would still reccomend it to any Dragon Ball fan and/or fighting game fan.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

After raging blast 2 I didn't think a game could become more acurate, boy was I wrong. I know allot of people think this game is worse, but it's beacuse of the gameplay, their used to games like tenkaichi. But what they forget is the porpose of the game franchise is to let others feel like they are playing the anime, and this game does just that. With the new rush battle system forces you to your aponent to litarally destroy and crush them. Beond that customize your very own DBZ warrior and take him on an adventure to save the world. customize thier: voice; battle style; super attacks; hair; cloths; symble;............... the possibilities are endless. And with ultamate battles online, this trully is the ULTAMATE dragon ball game.
