Game Informer Rating:

Rated 8.25 out of 10 by Game Informer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the series I own the entire Dragon Age series and I love every one of them. I do prefer the original above all others, but that is only because the story on it was more complete and had better customization options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but Limited Dragon Age 2 is a lot different from Origins. It's fast paced action and full speed combat with little to no strategy. I like this change. I feel it adds a lot more to the world and makes everything so much more impactful. The biggest issue with this game is how limited it is. There really isn't anywhere to go. The whole game takes place in one big city and a few places just outside of it, taking a lot away from the game as a whole. I still think this is a great BioWare game, and a must play RPG.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This Game is Awesome The first time I played this game I was disappointed. I grabbed it again recently and gave it another chance and I fell in love. The game play is great and straight forward. The Graphics are leaps and bounds better then the previous Dragon Age game. The sound effects and the music are incredible. The voice acting for all the characters is great, not to mention the fact the your character actually has voice. The Story is wonderfully written and played out. I recommend this game for anyone that is a fan of action rpg's and the Dragon Age series.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay The game is decent. The combat is pretty easy. It only really gets challenging on the hardest difficulty setting. The characters are decent and the player character is alright. It's not a great game, no, but it is good for anyone that doesn't take games to seriously. The romance options are varied but the way the developers and writes went about it are questionable. It leaves something to be desired. You can't chat with the NPC you're courting unless they have a companion quest for you to do. It makes the romance a bit more of a formal affair than it would ideally be. The graphics are okay nothing to be too stoked about but not terrible. The environments are very linear and the game hold your hand far to much for my liking but like I said good for someone who doesn't take it to seriously. I've played through it several times and find that the lack of exploration is a bit disappointing. I can understand having a more linear environment inside a building where the space is limited but out in the open I would like to be able to jump over a shin high rock rather than having to go around it. I'm probably being very generous with this game because I did find it relatively enjoyable at first. However, playing the same thing again and again with virtually no way to alter the story at all despite picking a new character to romance can get rather irritating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this game! Good game, no deaf mute character is much better for the storyline. Fix copy and paste locations. Fix the fact that when you make a decision it has an actual effect on the story. Fighting is fun. Overall gameplay is fun. Story is good. It may not be origins, but it's still a very good game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meh... This game has gotten some flack and rightfully so i mean with a game like dragon age origins (which i personally regard as one of the best games of all time) you have alot to live up to. sadly it doesnt. Now dont get me wrong this game isnt horrible ive played alot worse games. its just dissapointing. Maybe its the 28 hours of Origins talking but this ones story was alot weaker than origins and some of the companions were just not likeable. And the dialogue wheel can really make a bad situation worse at times. Not to mention the encounters (which go on for too long to the point where they're annoying) are just swarms of baddies that charge you with no tactics what so ever. But on the upside the combat is excellent. Its fast and responsive and no matter what weapon youre using you'll have a way to fight back in close quarters. and it was nice to see some of the old characters from origins (and Varric is just straight up awesome) All in all its a good game just dont go in expecting a rich story

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inspite of the complaints... I was, and still, a huge fan of the original Dragon Age and I agree with others who have said that this game is nowhere near as excellent as its predecessor. However, when judged on its own the game is very entertaining. The fighting system is somewhat of an improvement and the main character's being able to talk is a plus. I have replayed the game many times and have enjoyed it. It is too short and your decisions have little effect on the outcome. It really does fall short of the mark, but it is perfect for gamers looking for something laid back to pass the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great surprise Amazing game i have to say. If i was to put somethings back from awakening and origins to the second one i would give it a ten.
