Dead to Rights: Retribution is a visually stunning 3rd person action game, rich in story, character and brutal combat. The game follows vice cop Jack Slate and his canine companion Shadow as they fight to expose the shadowy figures of Grant City and bring order back to the crumbling metropolis. Deadly on their own, Jack and Shadow are even more formidable as they team up to defeat the threats they will uncover.

  • Two Playable Characters:
    • Vice-Cop Jack Slate - Pick off enemies with your side arm or get up close and personal and take them down with your bare hands
    • Shadow - Sneak up on enemies and kill them silently, or rip into a group and flush them out for Jack to take down!
  • Satisfyingly Brutal Disarms/Takedowns:
    • In the face of danger, turn your enemies' weapons against them with aggressive disarms or execute all-new lethal takedown moves!
  • Fluid Combat System:
    • Seamlessly blends ranged combat with most robust brawling system ever seen in a shooter! Pump enemies full of bullets or destroy them up close...the choice is yours
  • Intense Hand-to-Hand Combat:
    • Take on enemies with branching combos and counters or throw them into each other!
    • Engage multiple enemies at one time with the "360 hand-to-hand" feature
  • Fast-Paced Gunplay:
    • Shoot it out from cover, blind-fire around corners and use enemies as agile human shields or dynamic cover!
  • Captivating Neo-Noir Storyline:
    • Take on the Grant City underworld as vice-cop Jack Slate in an in-depth, character-driven storyline
    • Combining classical storytelling with advanced game design techniques to immerse the player in a compelling journey

    Game Informer Rating:

Rated 8.0 out of 10 by Game Informer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Great Sequel If you are interested in crime fighting games this if for you. I came to know the Dead to Rights series by playing Dead to Rights 2 and I did like it just didn't play it much. This game on the other hand I enjoy playing, Jack Slate literally kicks crimes butt. One of the things that I like is the more control of Shadow unlike in the previous one where there were times when you could call on shadow and couldn't get his help. In this one you actually get to play as the dog which gives you a break from the combat. Another cool feature of the game is the take-downs however I have noticed that the take-downs are repeated. However the moves take a while to get used to and there are a few challenging levels that take a good while to get passed but, overall it is a great game there is more good than bad about it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hated this game so much This game is on my list of worst games ever played. I'll have to actually go back and think about which one is my worst game of all time, and I wouldn't be surprised if this took the cake. I'm sure there are people who enjoyed it a lot and progressed through the story enough or whatever, but the whole entire time I was frustrated with the gameplay. This is the only game to ver make me so mad that I ejected it from my xbox and ALMOST broke it (I didn't, I got my money back instead). But never have even come close to doing that before. Defiantly my ultimate rage quit game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This game is not worth buying. I bought this game on the premise it was a shooter not a fighting game with exhausting combinations (my hand cramped up). The graphic are early tomb raider with people ending half in walls half out, the fighting action is poor and unrealistic. If you really want this game wait till it is only a couple of bucks or rent it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dead to Rights Retribution Review To me, this game really wasn't too amazing. Looks like every review before me thinks this game is a 10/10, but I just didn't see the 10 in it. It's like a Gears of War type game set in the Police Zone, except you dont get to hold onto your weapons long because you throw the gun on the ground whenever it runs outta ammo, although that may be more realistic in the situation. Yes there's quite a few guns, finishing moves and what not, and playing as Shadow is pretty cool, but after I beat the campaign I didn't have the too much of a feeling to go back and replay it. This game passes some time, but overall it's just okay-good.
