Product Details:

The merging of board game and trading card game brings a unique, engrossing gameplay experience to the Xbox 360 in Culdcept SAGA. Join the journey of two friends who battle together to fight enemies and bring peace back to their country. Conquer the elements, takeover lands, and defeat your foes. The collection of cards in your book is your weapon. How you use them depends on your objective - your game, it's your choice.

In Culdcept Saga, individuals known as Cepters move around a game board by the roll of the dice, using magical cards to call upon creatures and cast spells to occupy each area they encounter. Using cards, players can customize different decks to assist in their struggle for territorial dominance. As they maneuver their way around the board and land on occupied properties, opponents can opt to pay a fee for their brief stay or attack the guarding creature to inhabit the zone. Players can fortify their decks and develop strategies in single player mode, then apply those tactics against up to 3 friends on Xbox Live or on a single console. Gamers can further modify the game with their own style when they alter their characters' appearances using parts won during matches.
  • Unlimited number of strategic combinations: From over 470 cards, you choose those that will become your "book." - The strategies you can employ are endless - there is no "ultimate" card, the impact of the move depends on the combination of cards used!
  • Developed for the X360: Developed for the next generation, Culdcept SAGA delivers realistic characters and environments that transform. Place monsters on to the board and see them come to life!
  • Play alone, play with friends: The single player mode allows you to build your card collection, testing out a variety of strategies on how to combine them for maximum points. The multiplayer mode against 3 other players on Xbox Live gives you the opportunity to battle out your extensive card collection against theirs, complete with voice chat!
  • Create your own look: As you clear various modes and purchase parts on Xbox Live Marketplace, you can adjust your character's look. Customize your character to fit your personality!
  • Japan's creative All Star team: Card designs by Japan's top illustrators, music scored by the composer of the "Romancing Saga" soundtracks, and an original storyline by one of the worlds' top sci-fi writers!
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I miss this game and I did defeat it I use to own this game and I want to pick it up again, BELIEVE me lol you need to farm/grind for good cards/monsters when you get those and beat the game 3 times you get the true ending and its worth it. I liked the dragons to play with especially the one who evolved and helped your other dragons. :) So yeah pick up the game but don't rage quit......Much lol

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Very Fun Game This is a fun game that did not deserve to receive such poor reviews from the critics. Even from a general gamer's point of view, it is worth considering if you enjoy board games. C.S. combines deck building and board game land management strategy. Both features work well and there is a lot of gameplay throughout the single player campaign. The deck building strategy portion of the game could have been a little better refined, as not all cards work very well. Also, the story is not good but both short-comings can easily be overlooked. It's too bad DLC, such as new cards or new boards, was never available, but the sales figures probably were not high enough to justify continued development of new game features. There is a fanbase that is supported online and players can schedule multiplayer game times. Use your search engine and look up Culdcept Central to have more fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from one of the best games ever not only was the ps2 version epic, but the x360 upholds this "magic the gathering" meets "monopoly" gameplay awesomeness. the only drawback is the story, which is pretty weak sauce. aside from that, i keep coming back to this game over and over again every year since it's been released. friends still come over with their memory cards that contain their decks so we can throw down or team up against the a.i. do yourself a favor and pick up this game if you haven't already.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Challenging, not Appeasing If you like strategy games, this game is for you. Combine the deck building of Magic the Gathering with the land management Monopoly and you have the basic premise of Culdcept. The graphics are upgraded from the previous generation game system, but not really comparable to other games for the current systems and the story line is dull. This is a game that you play because you are looking for a challenge, not to appease the senses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Game I had bought my Fiance an xbox 360 for christmas, and after a while I wanted a game of my own since i wasn't into first person shooters like he was. So culdacept Saga is my first xbox 360 game and I wasn't disappointed one bit. It is a very fun game, and I have a good time playing it. The only bad things about it are how long it takes to beat a level sometimes, and also, the fact that no one else has this game so whenever you try to play online no one is ever there to play against. Other than that, its a good game. I would definitely recommend it to others who want to play. Oh also, the graphics aren't all that great and the storyline really is kinda dumb, but the gameplay puts those two problems out of mind rather quickly. I do enjoy the different assortments of characters though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best unknown game for the 360 Take Monopoly, Magic, a 360, and a terribly unimportant storyline and this is what you get. Story, unimportant. Voice overs, poorly done, graphics, Dated, and i still love this game. the game takes place on a board with multiple elements and buildings and you complete laps by visiting all the forts on a map and returning the the starting castle. what makes the game great is multiplayer. Local games are the best. get 3 friends, chips, dip, soda. you'll be playing all night. play a match get new cards customize your deck and do it again. all the fun of a college cafeteria without people giving you funny stares. so far i've only had 3 for all fights but the've been really fun. the only thing i warn of is that this game has little to no redemption systems for the last place players. Dokapon gives the last place player a change to become the devil and even out the playing field but in this game the best way to fight back is to prep a deck with end game cards and get lucky. if you have friends near by or online that are looking for a good party game this is it. games last 20mins -1.5 hrs depending on the map and the settings.
