Rated 8 out of 10 by LegendxKnight Same Game, But Better
Crackdown 2 is pretty much the same game as the first, but unlike most games that have that description this is a buy for anyone who has bought the first for many reasons. The first and most important reason is that its is just as or funner than the first. The four player co-op enhances this game to an easy must have. The controls are exactly the same and makes it very easy for a Crackdown veteran to get right in.The main aspect that Crackdown is known for is the orbs, and they are definitely back and the new renegade orbs add more of a challenge to getting the agility orbs. The only problem with this game is the lack of story, mainly because there isn't much of one. I would have liked to see more of a Crackdown 1 storyline but it isn't as a big of a deal as it may sound. However, because of the great gameplay, amazing multiplayer experience, orb hunting, and of course the most amazing voice over voice in any game makes this a pick up for anybody who feels like tackling Pacific City again or for the first time.

Ok first things first this game is epic i could almost not put the controller down beside some poping detail and a little lag this game is perfect you have a tererist group to fight during the day and zombie like freaks to fight at night not to mention it is always fun to run over freaks in a super car going more than 100 miles per hour down a city street and losing your sight from all the guts and blood the leveling is ok it is kind of hard to level up but it is worth it. you get many car options but run down a road plowing cars out of the way is fun to also jumping from building to building over the city is also fun the story is fine but you don't get much story till around the end. Around when you start you are in armor and once you level up one skill first you get a helmet and once your skill gets to level 5 you get chunky armor leveling up strength is great once high enough you can take a light post a wack the crap out of freaks well i don't want to spoil so i give this game a 10/10 pick it up if you want epicness
Rated 8 out of 10 by Zpeed226 Great gameplay, Lacking a good story.
Crackdown 2 is a lot like the first, with some extra content. The game is really fun to play, with a feel of you being able to leap buildings and be almost unstopable twords the end. It's meant to be more of a sandbox game, and it feels that way too. There is a ton to do, leveling up your agents parameters, and fooling around in the city. The only problem is that the main missions do get a bit repetitive. If you are looking for a good, original storyline, it's not here. The story is about a girl by the name of catilina thorn who wants revenge on the agency that you work for for a multitude of reasons. She realeses a virus across Pacific City that transforms people into mutants that come out at night due to the fact that they burn once exposed to light. The agency hires and clones a bunch of super-agents (that's you) to handle the problem. Been there, done that. Overall, the the game will keep you busy for a while. If your looking for gameplay, you've got it. If your looking for story, you should look somewhere else.
Rated 7 out of 10 by The Red Day it's the same as 1 but not as good
Crackdown 2 is virtually the same as the first one but it's 10 years later. the scenery is the same except for some areas are destroyed. if you played the first it would all appear familiar. one thing i have against it is the vehicles don't increase in power or transform as they did in the first one. another is that in the first one the islands where split into 3 by three different gangs. in 2 the whole place is controlled by one gang cell. which to me makes it a little dull. In number 2 instead of killing bosses you activate beacons, which unlike killing bosses and their krony's gets a little mundane. it took me about 12 hours to beat the campaign, that includes maxing out my abilities and messing around. yet again it is a little lackluster. I would only recommend this to die-hard crackdown fans and for players who have never played crackdown before play the first one first. because it's better and it ties into the second one in a way.
Rated 7 out of 10 by Kolbster Fun, but then again it was dumb.
Let me start by saying I never played the first Crackdown. But I came into playing Crackdown 2 thinking it was going to be alot different, and I thought the stroyline was going to be different from what it was. The stroyline was very lame, and I didnt really get what was going on throughout the whole game, so it made the game seem alot worse than it actually was. The Graphics in this game sucked compared to other games that I have played that are similar to Crackdown. But they deffinatly were not the bad compared to some games that have come out recently. Even on the easier difficulty I found my self dying more than I felt was needed. On the easier missions I was dying 2 or 3 times even trying my best to stay alive. And the aiming system did not help because It missed enemys alot. But, something about this game kept me playing. I guess something about being a super powered agent in a town that has no rules made it fun. And killing the freaks with your car was pretty fun. So all around this game was fun, but the storyline was very dumb.

This comes out on July sixth. So why did i buy it from a local store on july first? The game is pretty much just like the first one with the exception of your agent having a helmet and working in teams of four. The added mutants / freaks to the game, which isnt a bad touch. It makes it alot easier to get your driving skill maxed out. New abilities, lots more weapons, better cars and better sound make this a solid title and if you like the first one, you will love this one. My only complaints are as follows. The narrorator has a really bad habbit of screaming at you. Seriously, he screams at you and i find myself screaming back. i.e killing people and my favorite part. Securing a tactical location and then i die, and the narrorator screams at me for leaving the peace keepers alone. It has its downs but its not a let down. This game rocks! I guess i got lucky when i went to the store. I paid for it and everything. enjoy the game!
Rated 8 out of 10 by Gameland Crackdown 1.75
I wrote Crackdown 1.75 because its not Crackdown 2 yet. Lets start with cons. 1.) Locking on to an enemy and the camera problems are still bad or even worse. 2.) Car and helicopter selection is weak. (but this fixed with the toy box pack). 3.) Multi player is basic and lacks game selection. 4.) The game also has a lacking to no storyline at all. Now that were done beating the games lets talk about whats good about it. 1.) 4 player story co-op might be the best in any game I've ever seen. 2.) This game has a great DLC called the toy box 3.) Freaks make a great new enemy twist to the game. 4.) The games weapon selection doesn't hold back giving you a huge weapon selection. 5.) They also evolved orb collecting making it even more addictive. The games a good overall if you liked the first one pick this up. if you were were neutral to the last game you should pick it up it will probably change your mind for the better. If you didn't like the last one then this game won't make you change your mind. Thats Why this game is getting 8 giant explosions out of 10!!!
Rated 9 out of 10 by MikeTheVik Welcome Back To Pacific City(contains spoilers)
In this game you play as a character who is a genetically altered human called an agent. As an agent your job is to eradicate any threat to Pacific city or its inhabitants by any means necessary. And unlike the first game your enemies aren't all human any more that is. As the sun sets over PC (Pacific city) creatures unimaginatively named freaks prowl the streets looking to eat or infect whoever they come across. And to make things worse they are somewhat safeguarded by a human gang called Cell. While you run, jump and drive your way across PC you will constantly be upgrading your agent; and whenever you upgrade your agility or strength it changes your characters physical appearance and his armor; making him not only harder to kill but a better killer in the process. This is one of the few games that don’t take much thought process to enjoy; the controls aren't very hard to learn and the story is just good enough to keep you fighting for more plot twists. I hope they make another Crackdown so I can once and for all end the Agencies reign of terror.

I have strong hopes for Crackdown 2 because to me Crackdown 1 was horrible. I played all the way to the Shai-Gen island and only a few shots at the agent and he is dead... He is supposed to be a super-human agent not some toddler in a halloween costume figfhting crime. The demo of Crackdown 2 made it alot better now. Enemies are not a wave of bullets coming from every angle anymore, they are actually present and they do reload like average human beings. The Freaks can get to be a likely adversary if you get cornered but the agent can actually melee opponents in style so, problem solved. No more repetetive gang onslaughts, YEAH!! You actually can see how your agent levels up and he can hold better weapons not like in Crackdown 1 where if you reached level 5 the best weapon you had was a M16. Gattling Guns, Magnetic grenades, UV Shotgun... just some of the amazing weapons in the sequel. And you now can get orbs a bit easier like doing a simple handbrake turn will earn you a few Driving Orbs!!! Finally a Crackdown worth Playing over and over again!!!!
Rated 9 out of 10 by TheCritic666 1 of the best!!!
This game is WAYYYY better thn the first crackdown. Its so cool because if you have never played the first crackdown (which i recommened you dont) you can level up your strength,Driving,Weapons, and other things to acuire new weapons and abilities and you can also unlock new vehicles.Theres even a dune buggy type of vehicle which also has a MINI GUN on the top of it and you can kill anybody you want to with it.The best part about this game is when it goes into night time zombie freaks come out all over the city its so fun to either run around and kill with your fists or to get a vehicle and just run everyone over it looks really funny. The controls are really easy to understand and get used to. Overall this game is really fun even with a start out character. If you are still not sure about this game download the demo off of Xbox Live Marketplace. Its a 30 Minuete Demo. Its really fun and its worth a buy
