Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do
just like real carnival games
Many of the games in this one are pretty realistic but like the real thing there is a strategy to winning each game. If you can win at the games in this one such as ring toss you can probably win in real life as well. Not recommended for anyone who gets frustrated easily and isn't interested in figuring out the strategy behind the games but a really good game for anyone looking to perfect their carnival skills in real life or at least it worked for me. There are a few easier games in it that are a lot of fun for anyone to play. Anyone who isn't looking for a really challenging game should play the origional carnival games.
This game was funnier than i thought! Me and my friends enjoyed it but only thing is the guy in the game is pretty mean so if your feelings get easy hurt watch out.
Frustrating yet fun
It is a bit difficult to be overly critical of a "free" game (a copy of this came with my Xbox 360), but while the gameplay can be a rousing success at times, frustration can be aroused as well. The games themselves are pretty well designed and gameplay is very intuitive, but the Kinect is the source of endless difficulty. There is an appreciable amount of lag from your movement to the screen, and it is just enough to make things sour. As a an adult, this is easy enough to overcome, but for a child this can cause an abrupt end to play. The long times required to log in new players really minimizes this as a family party game (unless only 2 players are playing), and that takes away most of the impetus to actually play it. The Kinect works best when only torso movements are scanned because when hands and arms require precise actions it is often "off". So what is good? Well, the monkey dancing is entertaining, as are the shops (to buy goofy outfits!) and many of the other games. When it works, it works well. But when it doesn't work, you find yourself reaching for a non-Kinect game fairly quickly.
Great buy, fun party game
We really like this game. It is so much fun and has games everyone can play. The only con is that only 2 people can play at a time. The graphics and sound are great. We really enjoyed this one and look forward to having family over to play it.
controls awful, game sucks
Thought this might be a good party game but the controls are awful. So your score reflects pure luck not how well you play each game. So my opinion it sucks.
This game looks good and I love these kind of games so this should be amazing.
O.K. controls, Good graphics and sound.
In carnival games the basketball mini games SUCK! Besides basket ball the games are pretty good. The graphics and music choice is excellent. The games depend on pure luck, it does not matter on how good you do.
Just like Real Carnival Games.......Overpriced
They should have just kept this on the wii. Not that I hate this game don't take the rating as that put for how much you pay.....just don't buy this.
Sluggish, Annoying Music and Creepy Monkey
The carnival barker is annoying and the blue eyed monkey is kind of creepy. I fell like we spend a lot of time waiting for transitions between activities and waiting for our turn, so the kids tend to get bored and wander off. Also, the games are hard.
A Creative fun way to spend family time.
The games are user friendly. The graphics are colorful. The sound is great. There are worse ways to spend money on Kinect games. Replay is a definite. My children range from 6-19. And my 6 year can compete evenly. Definitely recommend this title.
