Call of Duty: Ghosts
it is a good game with decent graphics
I have been a fan since MW2 came out and loved the modern warfare series. It is intense and I enjoy the decent size maps and can play it for hours at a time before getting bored. Like all shooting games it is repetitive with the map and game mode selection, but that's not always a bad characteristic of a game. it is one of my favorite games however, I enjoy battlefield more because of the bigger maps, destroyed building, and use of squads and vehicle because it adds a more warlike edge to the game and allows players to be more focused on just getting kills, team work is more needed in this game and the battles are longer. I enjoy ghosts and if they can make the maps or lobbies bigger, it would add more intensity and teamwork into the game. lastly I like war games that don't occur in the future or use weapons that are fictional as well. That also influenced my opinion of this game
It isnt better then blops 2, but its good.
I honestly think it could have been better. I thought the graphics were awesome, and the gameplay was good, and the sound was great, I just see this in a month lying on a resale shelf. With ALLOT of copies. The multiplayer was surprisingly not as good as blops, but still a overall good game. Summary: didn't come close to what I've expected, but still a great game.
You shoot first you die first.theres a lot of campers and they never running around. The snipers are so annoying (quickscoping)
They should have had real Game testers test this game.
The multiplayer is terrible, the guns sucks, the maps suck, everything about this game sucks. People just camp in stupid corner the entire game. Snipers only get hit markers now because they were one shoting people, so they thought that it was to real even though that was their goal. To make it a more realistic game, but instead snipers are 5 shot kills while a machine gun is about 2. Would never buy this game again, Id rather watch paint dry than to play this game. Waste of money and waste of time. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!
Weak campaign, enjoyable multiplayer
I had high expectations for this game because I saw it had the most potential for the series in years. I was disappointed that not much had been improved or had any of the same features as Black Ops 2, which I rather enjoyed. The story is still linear as opposed to the multiple possible outcomes in BO2. The premise sounded great, but I must confess that there have been better Call of Duty campaigns. Instead of two or three pulse-pounding missions for the end, there are four 5 to 10-minute missions that could have been cut down to two. That felt kind of mediocre, but the final mission was still exciting. The graphics fall short of the series' potential. I mean, come on Infinity Ward. I felt like I was looking at characters that could have been in Modern Warfare 3. While the campaign is undeniably the game's weakest point, there are still good things about Ghosts. The new Create A Soldier feature allows you to build a team of six soldiers that you can customize entirely and play as in multiplayer to gain experience. Ideally, you would make each soldier wield a different kind of weapon. There is a new kind of weapon class called Marksman Rifles, which bridge the gap between assault rifles and sniper rifles. There are plenty of new explosives and equipment, such as the canister bomb and the motion sensor. Instead of having just three perks, Ghosts' new perks system allows you to have up to six or seven perks or as low as four. While creating your weapon classes and building your squad are the only major innovations for the game, the multiplayer feels a little off but still a good time. For me, it's the built-in oversized maps that some feel like they need 7 or 8 player teams. Infinity Ward must have thought, "So people said that the MW3 maps are too small, eh? Let's do the exact opposite and make the maps two times bigger!" With some maps, like Siege, they are so big, it's very easy for an enemy to sneak up on you and shoot you in the back. At the time of this review, only the Onslaught map pack has been released so far, and while the pack includes four or five maps that are of good sizes, the same two keep getting selected, so that one is more on the players themselves. The multiplayer makes up for the weak campaign, but I've had a better experience with both in the Black Ops games. If you're looking to start playing Call of Duty, you should start with one of the more solid installments, like Call of Duty 4.
A good game: lot of language
I LOVE the call of duty franchise, its awesome but recently it has been increasing in its language levels. (I know you can turn it off but still!!!) Otherwise great game I would definitely want another friend to play with on it but not necessary
Multiplayer: Terrible, if you can get your hands on one weapon you have an advantage over all other players. Forget aimbot leave it to call of duty to make this trash game unbalanced. Campaign: mediocre, in this game I seemed to forget I was playing cod and thinking I was watching the matrix. Every cliche in the book was pulled on this game, that has to be a record or something. This was the product of mediocre writers and directors. Extinction: Horribly terrible, was this infinity ward trying to create a new version of zombies? I hope who ever thought of this quits the game making industry because they obviously are terrible at everything imaginable. Horrible game never play it :)
Takes warming up to
I mean they made $ 1 billion in one day. I mean I agree at first the spawns and multiplayer was horrible but I loved the story line. I think most of the people on here are just bad mouthing it because they love Battlefield. don't get me wrong battlefield is a great game its take to long for me if I want to play a long time strategy game I would play chess or something like that. I think they are both great and Ghosts now on 2-22-14 is doing much better. there is no game that has even released and has not had problems. There also is no such thing as a perfect game. I think if you like long modes and more lengthy times I would go for Battlefield. But Call of Duty is more of a fast past to where you have to be on edge to make sure you don't get killed. I mean their are hackers but come on what game doesn't has them.
As Colin Mockerie would say...
This is almost as bad as call of duty world at war was. The only improvement I've seen is the the smoother graphics. Otherwise all the tweaks they made sucked like having less health in multiplayer. Quickscoping and camping are almost encouraged it seems. I cant tell you how many times I've quit and gone to play battlefield or GTA V. The last good call of duty was MW2 and sadly I don't think theyll ever get back to that.
I love call of duty, don't get me wrong. But this was awful. If you play the campaign you could tell it was sloppy at best. The multiplayer was horrible. Because there was no balance to the guns. One weapon ruled all others. and all of the game types like extinction were poor attempts to be like Zombies from black ops 2, Black ops, and World at war . Over all a mediocre game developed by sloppy game writers and directors. I will definitely never get another infinity ward call of duty again. A terrible try to make it big.
