Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have A must have for your xbox360 first person shooter library. Fun multiplayer, and amazing campain. Downsides is hackers every once in a while, but shouldnt be too much of a problem as it used to be. There is a reason they made cod4 remastered and people are paying 80$ for it.(nobody wants infinite warfare)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Game I thought it was amazing, gameplay, sound, appeal, everything! This game is the second best to Modern Warfare 2 (I'm gonna get alot of hate for saying that). Too bad these games get hacked alot. Still a great game overall, never got bored of it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the good children from the hated family. Call of Duty has been one of the most despised gaming franchises ever. The major stuff that make people angry are all the children going all crazy online, which is somewhat questioning since this an M rated game, and the fact there's another Call of Duty game every single year that still sells truckloads of money. However, throughout all the hate it gets, there's been one game in the franchise that's stood out as the best, if not, the only good one in the whole franchise. That game is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. And it mostly deserve the praise it gets. I find it to be a tad bit overrated mainly because of how people say it's the best one ever and no other one can top it. Well I do agree that this game certainly has more appeal than the others, I still think there's one other that's better than this. Anyway, the story is rather complex, and it's a bit hard to explain without spoiling major scenes, but I'll do my best. There's a civil war involving Russia, the Middle East, the United States, and the United Kingdom. It involves a group of Ultra-nationalists who want no to end the involvement of the United States (or the west) interfering with their country versus a group of Government Loyalists who accept the new changes from the west while British and American forces join up to defeat the Ultra-nationalists who are harming the innocent civilians. You play as a British soldier and an American soldier. The British moments are often more hiding around and killing a few enemies here and there. The American moments are head on straight to the enemy's homeland with lots of gunfire and killing. There's more to it, but I just summarized it so you'll be more surprised as you play on. The gameplay is your rather typical first person shooter for the most part. Shoot bad guys and get to the end. It does change up by the fact you can change what kind of rifle you have once you kill a bad guy. Many of them have different results. Some have better aim, some come equipped with an additional weapon, some can hold hold more bullets before reloading, and even more. What also helps the game is that some levels have different objectives like hide from a bunch of enemies or even be an anonymous person inside of a helicopter shooting enemies from above to help some soldiers out. There's even one level where you only might need to shoot no more than 10 bullets and mostly sneak your way to the objective. If there's one thing that's a bit troublesome, especially for people who have been use to the explosive, fast paced atmosphere, the game does feel more like what it would be like to be in a war. That's not a bad thing, but it does feel a bit boring to stay in a corner and fight off a few enemies. The tweaks mentioned before help combat this issue, but the issue is still there. The visuals look great, and they still hold up to a good degree. The realistic look makes moments feel odd when moments like glitches occur, though. The soundtrack is quite nice. There are a few forgettable tracks but the ones that hit truly shine. There's a multiplayer mode which is quite fun. There's a lot of choices of classes, maps, and game modes to try out. This game is quite a shocker. From a series so hated among the internet, this game was fun, shocking, and overall satisfying. If you can, please try this out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Call of Duty in the ModernWarfare Franchise Call of Duty 4: ModernWarfare is the best Call of Duty game that Infinity Ward has developed. The graphics are nothing special but it makes up for that in it's fast and fun game-play. The Story/Campaign in CoD 4 is a modern-military-shooter,"We need to stop the terrorists!" story with Over-the-Top action and like-able characters. The multiplayer is the main feature to Cod 4:ModernWarfare. The multiplayer lets you play online with up to 16 other players, there are a bunch of game-modes to play through with friends or just some random people online, the most popular are: Team-DeathMatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, and Free for All. I would definitely recommend this game for you if you are a fan of First-Person Shooters.
