Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai with Top Shot Elite
Worst $70 spent in my life!
This game was not well known and I thought maybe I should try it out, see if it is good. Well i bought it played for an hour, beat it, and was so mad I did not want to play the mini games! PLEASE NEVER BUY THIS GAME!! activision needs to know thaT these games are not worth 70 dollars!
Gun is lame
Bought this for my son for Christmas. After a quick setup and calibration of the gun controller it was clear that the gun's aiming would be a problem. The reticle jumps around worse that the wii, so hitting what you are aiming at thru the gun's scope doesn't happen. The characters movement is done with a stick at the end of the gun barrel, and the camera with a stick behind the trigger, which takes a while to adapt to. I saw u could play the game with just a controller and tried it out but even with full control of the character and aiming the game was still about 7 years too late as far as gameplay and graphics. My son and I had high hopes for this one but in the end it was a fail.
This game was a waste of money
this game was horid in the preveiws it looked like you would have to survive on your own, but no it had nothing to do with survival all it was was a game that you could only go one way or nothing at all. not only was the game bad to start with but the gun made it even worse. the gun was so bad that i then just played with the regular controller and gave the gun to my little brother as a play toy. This game isn,t even worth tradeing in. The Story was way to short and had no fun to it. i beat this game in 1 hour the only times i died was when i jumped off the cliff because i was bored. The boss battles sucked and so did the minigames they were all basicaly the same thing. the only interesting part of the game was the journal pages you found during the game. If you bought this game i'msorry but you just wasted $60.
when i bought this i thought it was be a great game since all the other cabela's games where enjoyable. The graphics are of a wii or ps2, the controls are too jolty(you'll spend more time missing and wasting ammo).i played the game for 2 hours with the gun and with a regular remote and its like trying to hunt a bear using a fishing rod. i am building a time machine to go back and stop my self from buying this game, thats how cr@ppy it is.
Come on, Really, Cabelas has started failing after Dangerous hunts 2 came out, I've always said that when you look at Cabelas games you can see how people have gotten, LAZY, I don't want to sit there while deer come at me, I want to HUNT, I also Don't want to be on a set path, Sure a campaign's cool but, Just no... Not like that. I think Cabelas needs to take a long look at theHunter.. And go in that direction.. Otherwise, They're going to going to start losing money. So Here's what I think they did, Let's make another Hunting game, Also let's through in a little plastic gun for more money.. Then Let's through a cool Name on it so people buy it.
looks like a fun game
I would like to get this game when it comes out, but eighty dollars is a lot for a game and a gun that you have to buy batteries for though
If done right, this could be a very interesting game in my opinion. It could be fun to try and survive out in the wilderness with nothing but your gun and your own survival instincts. Knowing the history of these games though, it is highly unlikely that this game will be anything other than mediocre.
Is there a person on the planet that would shell out 79.99 for this junk , with cabelas track history with xbox the games are usually in the bargain bin collecting dust within a few weeks , research all the cabelas game none scored over a 5 , its gonna be terrible
