I played Bullet Witch for the first time the other day. I have to admit, when I saw this at Gamestop, it looked kind of dumb. It just didn't seem like a game I would like. And so I figured I might as welll go ahead and try it out. In the beginning of the game, I was like "Holy crap that's a huge gun" and I thought it was kind of cool how she uses her magic to create her own ammo, thus being infinite. But I actually started to like the game once I got into it. So the story is alright, the gameplay is way better. It was kind of a challenge on the second easiest difficulty, but not as frustrating as Hell mode. The game itself isn't all that long, and the achievements are kinda easy. If you like games where you have Magic and spells and all that Jazz, you might like this game. I know I did.
A game to have fun with
This game is a game that can be fun if you don't take it seriously but play it just to have fun because that is all that the game is. The story line is not the strongest story line that I have ever scene and it makes no real effort to have a good story line either. The overall graphics of the game are decent and at some points very nice especially when you perform special tricks during the game. Is this game game on par with games such as Mass Effect or Call of Duty 4? No because that would be an unfair comparison because this game has some enjoyment. If you are into games that have an awful story line but plenty of killing and just mindless game play you would love this game, but if you are looking for more of a challenge this game is not for you.
got this a few years back, and still play it ^^ the idea of having a gun as well as magick is amazing and this game has that. story mode is a little on the short side and the storyline may seem off here and there but its still an overall great game in my opinion. and about the comments about Alicia's "broomstick" being useless is wrong since that "broomstick" is her guns. they were made to just resemble a broomstick. with that said, it WOULD be useless if they didnt function as your main weapons. anyway, if you want a unique shooter and just wanna kill some time, this is a good game, especially for the price it is now.
Good for a playthrough or two
I got this game because I liked the artwork and overall design of it. The game overall is tedious, but with the upgrades to magic and gunbroom, its motivational enough to go to the next level. Story is somewhat interesting, gameplay is a little stiff, the destruction engine with higher level magic is pretty neat though. If you want to try something similar to Dirge of Cerberus were you can enhance your gun with magic along with other cool looking abilities, give Bullet Witch a try.
I had picked up this game two days ago and i was amazed with the game i loved the combat and the story line even though they need to make a prequel to this game to make it more understandable but any way i liked this game because it was a challenge you can be killed easily and also their is no map kinda like real life.the graphics are good and the controls are not hard at all i thought the magic system was cool except for the great spells you have to wait to use until the inner demon thing says that you can use them. i think that it was cool for them to mix a action and a gunner game into one type of game. another good thing about this game is that it's price is real low i felt like i cheated gamestop out of money for it. witch+guns=good times.
Wow, this game was... ummm... Tomb Raiderish... ummm... in that bad poorly made clone way games are made. First, you are following the story of a "witch", who wardrobe will remind you of a model as seen in Dr. Who episodes, who has some sort of huge abstract gun that looks like a broomstick she uses to cast spells and kill zombie demon humans(or whatever they are), and big worthless floating brains with. The game play is very slow and pointless. The spells are available too little and too far between to make them worth even using. Her broomstick, you will quickly note, is about as worthless as a broomstick normally is in a gun fight. I would only recommend this game if you are trying to extract information via torture from a gamer, but even then I'm sure you wouldn't want to have to see that... It's not a pretty picture.
This was actually the first game I bought for my Xbox360 and, I must say, I love it! I like the creativity of Alicia's "broom" incorporated into her guns, the overall design of the costumes/characters/enemies/etc. as well as the game play itself. While I understand where some of the negative comments towards this game is coming from, I still think it's an amazing game. (Besides...it's only 8 bucks used anyway.) I'd absolutely recommend this game.
At first, this game looked pretty stupid and after reading some reviews I didn't really want to get it. But, I bought it anyways and love it. This is probably one of the most original shooters created. You have a gun and use magic. You don't see that in many or any shooters at all. The magic spells are pretty cool. The game is challenging but the graphics are pretty bad compared to most games out for 360. Other that the graphics, I don't think there is any problem with it. The controls for the game is pretty easy and the hardest mode is probably more challenging that a lot of shooters that are out so far. It's really easy to die and pretty hard to kill them at the hardest mode. This is definitely worth the money that Game Stop is selling it for.
The last time I get a game because of the reviews
Gamestop has a GREAT rating for this game..when I got it 9.0 was the rating. OH MY GOD was that a mistake, Graphics similar to Tomb Raider for PS1 (gameplay too) the objectives are poor and the gameplay is poor..the only thing I liked about this game was turning it off..listen to be and do not buy
Reading all the reviews from people who had played the purchased the game made me kind of excited and I enjoyed the artwork released and the trailers made the game look awesome. One of the reasons I bought a 360 was to try games like this. Bought it today and spent a full ten minutes which I will never get back trying to play this game. The graphics are last generation, the enemy ai is horrible, and in general the game is just annoying. Even for the current $4.99, its not worth keeping and sadly its going back tomorrow.
