Alot of fun and very good graphics
This game is very realistic and seams almost real. I know that because planes have been one of my hobbies since i was very young. I love planes especially ww2 planes and there is many planes in this game. The only downside is the campaign is short but you can buy a campaign pack for it .I would buy this game if I were you.

Average WWII Game
This game is about average to the other games that I have played. This one does have exceptional in-game footage of WWII. The footage actually contains footage from WWII so it is pretty neat. The graphics are par and the campaign could be longer. The multiplayer is nice there are just never very many people on it. If your looking for a good WWII game then you should get this one because it is worth the money.

Birds of Prey, with Pacific missions
Downloaded the demo. Although I normally don't like sequels that look the same as the original, I like this one! Yes, it is virtually identical to Birds of Prey, but Birds of Prey was, and still is, above other console combat flight sims. This adds the Japanese in the Pacific theater to complete the WWII experience. The addition of carrier landings makes this an improvement all it's own. The only real gripe I have is the tutorial. It's long and annoying, and required in the demo. No option for experienced flyers.

A VERY GOOD FLIGHT SIM!
I would like to say that I'm a huge fan of flight sims, I always tried console flight games, but I always find them to arcade, dull and boring. Birds of steel is a very good game, very realistic, i didnt gave a 9 or 10, because there are still some details that PC Flight sims have, which make them more realistic. But as far as consoles goes this is the best I've played. I recomend the use of Cyborg F.L.Y. 9 Wireless Stick for Xbox 360, because controls are kind of hard in simulation mode, thats why i rated 7 on gameplay. I can trully say that if you like WWII Flight, this game is a MUST HAVE!

History, flight sim, some flaws but overall great
I've been playing this online for a few weeks. Having a great time, but there are some negatives that can't be ignored... the usual issues with matchmaking and laggy performance, hit markers, spawn killing and team killing wise guys. But what else is new in online gaming? Negatives specific to this game are difficult to navigate menus and a lack of variety in missions. There's an air to air domination game, some CAP missions and a few air to ground missions. If you get in a good lobby it can be really, really hard to get a kill but really, really fun to try. Especially at the beginning. The following is a complaint about all online shooters and games that have "unlocks:" WHY DO GAME DEVELOPERS MAKE YOU FLY WITH THE WORST PLANE, SHOOT WITH THE WORST GUNS, DRIVE THE SLOWEST CAR WHEN YOU FIRST START PLAYING A GAME ONLINE? DEVELOPERS TAKE NOTE: IT IS NO FUN TO PLAY A GAME ONLINE WITH A PLANE THAT STALLS, A CAR THAT GOES THE SAME SPEED FORWARDS AS BACKWARD, A BB GUN WHEN YOU'RE UP AGAINST PLAYERS THAT HAVE MORE TIME TO PLAY AND UNLOCK THE MORE POWERFUL STUFF ON RELEASE DAY. In Birds Of Steel it's no different, you're literally flying a bi-plane vs. BF-109 until you get more XP. And getting shot down over and over, even while you're still on the runway. I'm a pretty good flight sim pilot, having played these types since the mid 1990's (Falcon 3.0, Jetfighter, F-19) but give me a plane that at least has a chance. My goodness. Here's another gripe: The missions end too quickly. You get unlimited fuel for the most part, but you can get beat up by good players right away and it's "mission failed." If you get shot down, you're back to the runway, so catching up to the action can be pointless. And here's another gripe: you can take off in the online missions, but I have yet to land. Just "mission failed," or "mission success," and fade to the debriefing room. I actually like to land, it's one of my favorite parts of flying, so why not include it in the online missions and give massive XP for carrier landings? I don't get it, this oversight just seems like laziness. This seems like a pretty negative review for an "8" rating, but these flaws are easy to look past once you get in the air, get on some bad guy's six and get that elusive kill in an online dogfight.

thank you Gaijin Entertainment and Konami
my first review ever, I guess I just hate seeing a 4 out of 10 review, the game is as good as it gets right now for fans of combat flight sims, you know there isn't much out there for sims, three difficulty modes but none easy enough for most gamers who seem to want instant gratification without any learning curve and hate anything they can't just pick up and do well at and it only costs $39 new right now

take a lot of time
you rely have to like flit games this one take's a lot of time to train vary hard to win and get new plains

Finally Konami is back in the flight sim scene
So far from what i have seen, this looks great. It's using the same graphics engine as IL-2 Birds of Prey so it definatly is going to have beautiful lighting and damage effects. I'm definatly going to buy this!
