If you are obsessed with achievements such as myself, get this game especially for this price. It delivers fun gameplay, but the camera can be a hassle sometimes. Sometimes it's a bit challenging, but overall good game.
Easy Achievement Points,That's About All
I absolutely love the LEGO series of games and own all but two of them. Naturally I thought this game would be in a similar vein. Truth be told it is similar but not nearly up to the quality of the others, in all respects. The graphics aren't great but are passable. The controls are weak but managable. Gameplay is thin but mildy satisfying. Adults will likely find this game boring after a few hours but I imagine kids will eat it up. Adults if you want 1000 gamerscore without a lot of hassle this is the game for you. It could be my unflapable love of the LEGO series that causes me to rate this game a 6, but the upgrade system is kinda fun, the bionicle heroes are fun to play. I have a high tolerance for turning to my enemies into their component studs. I would recommend this game to lego fans, kids, and hardcore achievement grabbers but casual adult gamers will probably pass on this title.
STRAIGHT ACHIEVEMENT GAME....
This game is a cheap knock-off of the LEGO STAR WARS games. The third person perspective is shoddy, and the camera work was pretty bad. It is sometimes hard to figure out where you're going. Once you get the controls down it's not a difficult game. I liked the upgrading, but it was easy to get all characters to their most powerful upgrades. There are a lot of unlockables including characters. I haven't completed the game yet, but as far as I can tell the unlocked characters aren't playable. I bought this game for my 8-year old son, and he seems to love it. So for the younger crowd I guess it's a good buy for the money. But all in all the only reason I'm actually playing the game is for the achievements. It's a pretty simple game, and gives you an achievement for everything.
