Beijing Olympics 2008
Challenging, but fun
I like this game a lot, but it can get kind of frustrating when first learning how to do some of the different events. I love the variety of events. There are a ton of different events from track, field, swimming, gymnastics, shooting, and others!
The Best Game Ever
Beijing olympics is one of the best game i have evr played it is a great challenge but thats the fun of the game it challenges you and really gets you into the game because nobody likes a game that is to easy. One of the specific hard parts of the game is running it is hard when you first start but a you progress it gets easier but not to easy you might get frustrated a little bit but it will be worth getting frustrated you only get frustrated because of the challenge evrybody like a challenge im not sayin the game is really hard actually i should be hard if you pay attention to the instructions and listen very well it should come very easy to you. Ive played all the games madden09,ncaa09,ncaa football and basketball09,baseball09 everything so far this game has the best challenge and it is the funnes to play im a gamefreak i love this game and if you buy it im pretty sure you will like it to
WORST GAME EVER!
Ok I have no idea how anyone can like this game. First of all you can't win at anything because the computer always seems to come back and win last second, secondly the controls are confusing and mess you up. And the running game is the worst game in history, it is impossible to win against the computer and you can't even go fast without tearing some skin off your hand in the process ( I would know). The only descent sport is archery which is still pretty bad because you have to go through like 5 people to get into the finals which will wast you time for about 20 minutes. I would rather play pong because pong is actually pretty fun, they should make it again for 360 or PS3.Overal this game is the worst game I have ever played, if you want a better game go out and buy atari.
This game overall is pretty good. Their are some things that they could have impoved on like the controls definitly. The characters in the game look good and you can even choose which characters you would like to use in the game. The presentations in the game are also a good feature they introduce everyone competing and at the end announce the winners with thier home countries athem. I would say if you want a sports game that you can keep playing this is a good buy. I would definitly recommend this game to olympic fans or just regular sports fan. I have played many sports games, but the Beijing 2008 Olympic is definitly one that I will not stop playing. It has so much variety, you can play over 30 events that have track & field, aquatics, gymnatics and much more. The games also lets you choose from over 30 countries that have unique characters. I definitly recommend.
HELL OF A GAME!
I was born to be part of the olympics in some way and this game is better than the 96 summer games for sega genesis, the 98 Nagano winter games for n64, the 94 Lillehammer winter games for sega genesis and the 2000 sydney summer olympics for dreamcast. It is a challenge the first day, but the tutorials come in handy when you think that you're in for the frustration of your life. I hope one day they come out with all the games possible on a single game. It would be a challenge of domination. I am a gymnastics fan mostly, but I don't see why they picked the men to do the vault when it's more popular with the other three routines in women's gymnastics. What happened to the BMX racing in this game. I guess they didn't remember that they made it an olympic sport.
I really, really love this game
I just picked up this game and absolutely love it! It's very challenging yet easy enough to at least be competitive the very first day you pick it up. There are 35 or so events which will keep you busy for many hours. The online is fantastic, the graphics are pretty good and the creative button combinations to complete each event is great. I hate playing most sports games because once you master one, the rest are all the same, but this game is totally fresh as far as creativity in how you play the game. The game is great for teens on up but most likely too complicated for children....so my kids really can't play it which is a bummer. Like GH3, you can easily spend hours playing this game and lose the day. So far, I really have no complaints about the game. I highly recommend this game.
THIS GAME is difficult the first few times you play but if you keep trying you will eventually figure it out. the controls use the right stick alot and that is very challenging. some games are easy most of the events are very difficult. the running is challenging because you A and B or u can use the right or left sticks wich make it very challenging. the shooting and archery are very realistic, and are also fun to play. the diving is somewhat easy and the swimming is the same story. i garuntee you wont be great at this game the first time you play it but keep trying it really is a great game. i would recomend this game to all levels of gamers. this game (bejing 08) was definetly worth the money. i could play this game for hours there is so much stuff to do from weight lifting to diving and swimming.
Olympics finally return.
I have always enjoyed watching the Olympics and I have also played a few past Olympic games, but this game looks incredible. The graphics are top notch and I hope the controls are nice and fluid. From a few screen shots I've seen, the High Jump controls seems like when your character runs toward the bar, you must press the right button(x,b,a,y) to gain speed, but as for jumping over I have no idea what to press(until the game comes out). The amount of events in the game is outstanding! Just about, if not every, event is in the game which no other Olympic video game has never done before. If you like watching the Olympics then this game will be a whole new experience for you to play instead of just watching it.
Olympics Are Back
Hopefully this time it will be a step up from 2002. That game was fun, but a lot of improvement is needed. Being able to compete online will be great. The developers need to make sure to capture all the events and try not to make the events tedious or repetitive. There should also be a create mode where you can make your own olympian. Either way this should be the best olympic game made.
