jp411587 an amazing all round games. stealth and assault
i thought it was an awesome game right when i played it. the wildlife has so many animals to hunt. the graphics are great too, the sea looks awesome. i also liked the plot. in the begining you on a privateer contract. and ship wreck in the largest jungle in the game. only edward kenway (the pirate you play as) and an english assassin traitor who needs to get to havana to deliver maps revealing the observetory and the location of the assassins h.q. the assassin rouges' name is duncan walpole and you kill him. the rest of it is for the other players to discover

Handsome Can't wait!
I've been with the Assassins Creed series since day one and I have to say that with each sequel fans have been happy in almost every shape or form. I do have to admit however that the ball was dropped a little because of Assassins Creed 3 ( it's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination) and this game may seem rushed, but the same can be said for brotherhood and revelations, two great games, and I think this one is going to make up for 3 and even more!

Rated 6 out of 10 by skittlezzz It's Worsening
I love Assassin's Creed. I have every game. Now, I feel like Assassin's Creed is worsening with each release. Black Flag has the most expansive map I've ever played on, but that's a problem. It's too big and too time consuming to find a location you haven't unlocked fast travel for. The game gets boring each time you have to go on the Jackdaw (which is very often). The game has very bad sound, especially during combat. Edward would off somebody, and either the sound doesn't come until a few seconds later, or you don't hear any sound at all. Finding items for crafting upgrades is very frustrating and difficult. It's not like Assassin's Creed 3, where items for upgrading are easy to find. The gameplay is very similar to AC3's, so it kind of feels like you're playing the same game. If Ubisoft waited a few years until the next release and took their time developing it so it won't be terrible, that'd be great. The only reason I'm keeping this game is so I have all of the AC games, otherwise, I'd send it back.

Rated 4 out of 10 by sportsguy Assassin's Creed fell off
As a fan of Assassin's Creed since the first one, and a person who has beat every single Assassin's Creed (except this one), I absolutely hate this game. I understand that it is pirate themed, but naval warfare in this game just is not fun. It takes too long, is too repetitive, and difficult. It is just straight up boring. And the story isn't as clear as previous AC games. I really want to like this game, but the boats are just over emphasized. There were boats in AC3, but that wasn't so over emphasized, so it was fun from time to time. But in this game it is like all you do. It doesn't even interest me enough to finish the game. Also, the fighting feels a lot clunkier than previous AC games. I will be tyring to fight someone, and when I press X to attack, or B to block, nothing happens, so my guy just dies repeatedly because he just stands there and gets hit, without even hitting back no matter what I press, or when I press it. I really hope the next AC is a lot better, and I really hope they ditch boats.

I'm a die hard assassins creed fan. I'm going to be honest AC3 was a disappointment compared to the others. It was still fun but not good. This assassins creed though was so much of an improvement. It brought back what assassins creed originally was with a whole bunch more. I was a little skeptical when I found out the naval gameplay was still involved, but this time it's actually good. You don't have to follow designated coordinates or anything like that. You could anchor your ship anywhere and get out, you could board random ships. I actually had fun being on a ship. Then the story line was a whole massive improvement. The characters were real, and living. The gameplay was awesome, and more realistic. The stealth was improved much. Most importantly, the buildings, the freerunning playground was improved so much, the buildings were awesomely detailed. I can go on and on. If you liked any assassins creed, even if you liked the third, you will love this game.

I bought this game last month upgrading from AC Brotherhood straight to this... I was so surprised at how many improvements they have done throughout the franchise. I spent three days playing it, but it only felt like four hours!!! So many things to do in such a diverse map! WELL DONE UBISOFT!!!

Ubisoft didn't just make this in a year its been in development, the company is split into teams the team that made AC3 started as soon as AC2 was finished while the other teams made brotherhood and another revelation. As soon as revelation was finished they started work on AC4 with the brotherhood team so in that case it wasn't just a game made in a year. Also to our new Assassin with Desmonds death we need a new direct descendant and I bet it will be somebody with the last name Kenway. Edward could have had a sister or an aunt that was also an assassin like Ezios sister was that could have made up to the point of the Miles family while since Males keep their last name there could be some Kenways out their who were in the field while Desmond saved the world. Also the 1700's is obviously going to be the next timeline for a couple games just like the Italian Renaissance so you need to explore everything, so next is grandpa. :) Cant wait.....
