Turning into a CoD-type game
I used to be a die-hard Assassins Creed fan, but Revelations was a huge letdown. Then AC3 looked promising, but was disappointing. Less than a year and they announce a new game that looks just like the last. Remember those boring Privateer Missions that got old quick, this is what you are buying. I can almost promise you this game is a copy-paste like CoD. If I were you, I would rather preorder BF4 or wait till Fallout 4 is announced.

Just One Question
If Conner Kenway's grandfather was trained by the Assassins ; how did his dad become a Templar? Anyways i'm sure they'll expain if they haven't already . But besides my question i have no doubts that this game is going to be awsome !

Why RP?
Why do they put RP if they know it'll be rated M??? I mean, really, they know it won't be for 4 year olds.

The golden age of piracy
I agree with those that say this game was rushed and the fact that the story just took a step back in time to a place where you play as haythem kenways father edward kenway is very confusing but the improvements ubisoft has shown with each game in the assassins creed lineage are incredible with every ac game they have come out has let the player get more in touch with the character. and now they have come up with a greaat idea they took assassins creed and launched it into The golden age of piracy i just hope edward kenway doesnt turn into another captain jack sparrow from pirates of the caribbean. but the amazing colors and textures ubisoft has put into this game are going to be breathtaking and now the fact that you can now explore underwater is great and this was a great time period to put this game in truly brilliant ubisoft and now we dont have to deal with those annoying parts in the gamae where it would tell us area not available during current memory no now you must upgrade your ship and take on those ships that block the open ocean so you can explore even farther into the caaribbean.the gamer also gets to go on constant missions with their personlized ship instead of completing all the ship missions and then your stuck with a giant floating device like in ac3. and theyve also thrown in some very famous characters like black beard and others. and all new ways to counter your opponents attacks because ik that we all hate doing the same counter move over and over and over now we get to utilize our environment when in conflict. Ubisoft has also thrown in alot of exotic animals that you may hunt when your board or when you want to build or upgrade components on your character along with the sea life like sharks whales squid fish this game is truly amazing Ubisoft put everything into this game and i cant wait to get it -THA V1RUS

I have been a fan since the beginning.
As good as AC 3 was, which was breathtakingly good, an important part of the story was missing: the connection and emotional attachment to the protagonist. I loved the first three games as we got so connected, so immersed in the lives of Altair and Ezio where as with the time we had in AC 3 we were unable to get as deep with Connor. I hope that Black Flag addresses this. I also miss the amount of extra things to do that Brotherhood had aside from the main story arc. It would seem, according to official description, that there will be more to do in Black Flag than in AC3 and I am very excited for that.
The combat promises to be the best yet in the franchise and the dual wielding of Edward's cutlasses should prove to provide very intriguing combat experiences.
All in all, I am very glad that I have pre-ordered this game.

Edward Kenway!
Now I'm Not Saying This Is A Sure Fact Or Anything..But I Was Playing ACIII Last Night And Was Looking Through The Data Entries And Was Looking At Haytham's Entry And It Said Something About His Father Named Edward?? This May Or May Not Be Coincidental... But I Believe Edward Is Haytham's Father.

YAY
i can not wait for this game i have gotten every game at midnight releases and this one will be no different. Now i believe Ubisoft need to take a few steps back and give us a game about the Asian Girl from the movie Embers on a console not a handheld like the did with Liberation not taking away from it is was a great game but an asian theme might help the series feel a little more world roundin

no no nooo
First off, I am a huge AC fan...been one since the beginning. I have to say that this game doesn't interest me at all. The theme is pretty cool, not going to lie, but half the gameplay is on a ship, REALLY NOW??? An assassin doesn't sit on a ship blowing up other ones. I just feel Ubisoft lost their way. They just haven't been the same since Ezio...
