The funniest of the 4 expansions, lots of new toys
Fallout: New Vegas is perhaps my favorite game ever; it is DEFINITELY the game I have invested the most time into. Each of the 4 major content DLCs for New Vegas add new locations, new weapons/armor/items, and double-digit hours of gameplay. You'll probably get more gameplay out of any individual New Vegas DLC than you would out of many full-priced $60 out-of-the-box releases. I digress; on to the review.
If I remember correctly, many of the original writers from the old PC Fallouts 1 & 2 were on-staff for Fallout New Vegas (more-so than for Fallout 3). It definitely shows. I found the story and actual script-writing for New Vegas to be superior than that of Fallout 3, (although in setting I'd give the advantage to nuked-out Washing D.C.) and nowhere is this more pronounced than in Old World Blues. From the very beginning this is a laugh riot. I'm the type of person that doesn't show a lot of expression (I'll think something is funny but not necessarily laugh) but i was laughing out loud hysterically for a large portion of this DLC. Some of the jokes are on the perverse side... but this is a game that probably shouldn't be played by people of a young age to begin with.
The writing is perhaps the star of the show here but this DLC also adds the usual quota of new gear. Because this location was essentially a research facility (and had a spattering of Brotherhood of Steel involvement) there are some fun (and sometimes highly demented) experimental weapons/armor that are fun to play with in Old World Blues but perhaps more fun to play with when you get back to the Mohave. Your character gets some neato improvements, too, making this trip highly worthwhile for the rest of the game and other DLCs.
You'll get many hours of game-play from this DLC and there are several different ways to approach the main storyline. In addition, there are MANY nooks-and-crannies to explore and you don't have to rush..... this is one of the 3 New Vegas DLCs that you can return to after it's completion. Of the 4 DLCs this is probably the most enjoyable although if you loved New Vegas you'll enjoy all 4.
It's probably cheaper to get the Game of the Year Edition if you want to get the game and all of the DLCs.... just FYI.
A side note.... if you don't have it you should pick up the "GunRunner's Arsenal" DLC. I think it's about $3 and it adds a LOT of new guns, upgrades, and ammo types. From the super-expensive end-game items to your everyday Laser Pistol, there are now ammo types and cool upgrades, as well as some new fun toys.

Best dlc out there
THis DLC is like a whole new storyline. Reminds me of how weird and stupidly funny fallout is. I would buy this DLC if it was 20 it is well worth 10 dollars
