sucks compared to the other BL dlcs.
This is my least fav dlc out of the borderlands game. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still fun, but compared to the other dlc’s, it falls short. The whole point is an arena. Basically you do 5 waves over 5 different rounds per arena. That’s a total of 25 waves per arena (5 different kinds), theres three arenas, so that’s 75 waves… that’s the entire dlc. Only one quest. The waves are very repetitive, even the first time I played this I was wondering “is it over yet?” The enemies give no experience towards leveling, or towards weapon leveling. The only experience is the quest, which is completed after the 75 waves. The loot sucks, basically you face wave 1, 2, 3, 4, and on the 5th one it’s a boss wave (total of 15 boss’s, and at the end it drops a few weapons and gear (roughly 3-5 items per boss wave). 99.9% of the time they suck. The biggest point of this dlc is a bank. Basically it’s I think 40 slots that you can put anything (weapons, class mods, etc) into. So if ur level 60 but you have a good level 20 weapon you want to save for a new character, you can put it in there. No there’s no mailbox system (where you can send stuff from one character to another), but if you have two controllers or a good friend, you can split screen (or online) drop the stuff on the ground, and the other guy can pick it up. I’ve done it several times, by level maybe 10 my characters are capped on money, by level 25ish they have weapons that will rival general knoxx, some even in the second play through. Also upon completing the long quest, you are rewarded one skill point (on first play through) 2 skill points (on second play through) so a possible 3 extra skill points total. As a dlc among all games I recommend this to anyone, as a dlc among the other borderlands dlcs, I still recommend it, but only after you’ve got knoxx, zombie island, and claptrap dlcs. They are far better.
