Xbox 360 System - White with Wireless Controller (GameStop Premium Refurbished)
Yeah, sure the Xbox 360 is awesome and all, but not this version. First off, this version of the xbox 360 get the red ring of death way to easily, it also scratches your games way to easily, every time I used to eject games from the console the disc would still spin and get scratched up. But when I got the xbox 360 S all those problems stopped. I would recommend spending the extra $100 and get your money's worth. I'll show you the pros and cons of this console.
Memory card (but the xbox 360 S has a bigger hard drive)
no annoying BEEP every time you turn on the controller or eject games from the console like the xbox 360 S (but the games still spin and get scratched)
The red ring of death
scratched games every time you eject games from the console.
Waste of money
When Gamestop refurbishes their xboxs... they must not be looking for a general cause to a problem. When I got my refurb.. the fan is EXTREMELY loud, and over the past 6 months, the GPU has been failing. I would be playing a game and then suddenly, the visuals freak out and i end up having to quit a match of FIFA or COD/Halo midgame. I cant watch Netflix on it because the xbox noise overpowers the tv speakers. All in all, if you're going to spend money on an xbox. buy a new one.
Don't buy used.
I bought this used in September and there were issues with the console not reading the disc within the first couple of days. I wish I would have returned it while I could because now it is just under 90 days later and it will not read any disc and I have to buy another one. I just wasted $130 on the console plus the extra hard drive I had to buy and give games. It was great while it worked but buying a used system with no more than a thirty day exchange policy was a mistake. I know GameStop can't warranty for long on a used system and I understand that but the risk is too big for me to ever take again. I play maybe an hour or two a week so buying another one at full price isn't something I am willing to do.
It Works Perfect!!!:)
I bought this system at my local game stop... i was a bit hesitant to buy the refurbished after the other reviews about having RROD. But it was all i could afford... i couldnt have asked for better!!! It works just like the new ones!! The only down side is u will have to buy a wireless adaptor. other than that it is a perfect deal!!! I played a & hour session with no problems... if was a little dirty when i got it but nothin a little cleaning could fix!!! It does come with a controller. mine was a black controller with a battery pack... which means u gotta charge it.. uness u use pennies and batteries tricks. All in all best deal out there!!!
Great system for the money
Wanted a system again after a little run without playing games so me and my girl could play together and was sold on this one for the price. I got the console and controller and a 60 gig hard drive for about $170. Plays no different than the new slim Xbox 360, may be a bit louder but not really noticeable unless you put your ear up next to it. Was a bit worried about RROD but I have played games or watched movies for hours upon hours and have never had an issue. Also you can get some great games for $10 bucks or less when you buy used. Would highly recommend Forza 2, Bioshock, Bulletstorm, Halo 3, or if you your ok spending a bit more Halo 4 IS A MUST!!! *** BE SURE TO GET A NETWORK ADAPTER IF YOU WANNA PLAY ONLINE!! And get the nicer of the two, its worth the money (there is a white and a black and the black one is more powerful).
Not very pleased!!!
I used to own a xbox 360 core system that didn't came with a hard drive. I've played numours of 360 titles back in 07 - 08, and then my 360 started to give me major problems such as: red ring of death, overheating and screen freezes. I will not go back to Xbox 360 if it doesn't want to function properly or if the machine doesn't want to work.
Great Overall Deal
Honestly I was skeptical at first. Reading a few reviews of people who probably never purchased one. I went to my local gamestop and wanted a xbox 360 original model. I was able to get this refurbished unit. The system was overall in very good condition. The controller was also in good shape and the cables looked fairly new. Im very picky with my systems. I would say the overall cosmetic condition is an 8/10. The system has been being used for a straight 4 hours now without any issues. I really cant say anything bad about it. Honestly the 30 day warranty is nice as well. If I start having issues I can just replace it. I will update the review if we have any issues with mine.
The fun never ends!
The Xbox 360 is a great console, which delivers an awesome gaming experience. All the games made for it are so realistic and fun, and the Xbox is the perfect console to use for all these games. Get yourself an Xbox 360 today!
This is the first product I have gotten that was make by Microsoft and I love it. The only thing I don't like is that it has some noise but once you get in to the game I forget its there. And most people wine that it doesn't have enough hard drive space but just connect a flash drive and your good to go. The system says that there might be some lag when using a flash drive but its so miner that you only notice it when you realize that the xbox is making sounds. So just get in the game and stay there.
It was good for a refurb
I got a refurbished 360 about 4 years ago and it is still running. I had spent many hours playing games on it. My Xbox was working perfectly until a few months ago. It now has trouble reading discs and sometimes I had to spend 5 minutes ejecting the disc in order to play a game. I think for 3-4 years without a problem from the refurbished 360 was pretty good, given how in the past the 360s were known for malfunctioning.
