Xbox 360 Tritton AX120 Headset
i'm about 50/50 on this product
the sound quality is great. but the design(how it is put together) not so great. my left ear piece broke off.(picture included) My headset is not even a month old. most likely going get myself a turtle-beach headset instead
Can't recommend...broken in packaging
I just brought these today, got home...set all the wiring up 1st, took the headphones out of the packing...the left headphone feel off. It was just hanging by the wiring, I plugged them in, just to listen to the sound quality, of course, no sound out of the left one. GameStop said that I could return them, I always get great service at GameStop. Can't recommend & won't by again.
Not to good
I got this about 2 week ago and i was happy with them it has good sound but i was takeing off and poof the right ear pace brok off hanging by the wire. I would not recommend this to anyone.
WORST HEADSET EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not buy this headset for anyone. I bought the headset as an upgrade from my Turtle Beach Earforce 10. I was very excited when i bought this product because i have only heard good things up to this point about Tritons. When i brought them home i immediately began using them. They worked well but didnt even compare to turtle beach. So i figured oh well atleast they work. After about three months of having them i was putting them on and the left ear cup snapped off. I was angry and then i looked closely. The ear cup is held to the headband by the tiniest piece of plastic i have ever seen. So i just went ahead and super glued it and it was ok till about a week later when the right ear cup snapped off. Terrible design absolute garbage headphones. I still use this pair today but they are covered in duct tape and super glue. Now i know to stick with the turtle beaches. I just bought the new Earforce 12 check those out they are 100x better and not very expensive.
Great Headset for the price!
O.k.,I paid around $47 for my Tritton ax 120 headset. Gamestop just had their 20% off all accessories online and I couldn't pass it up. I received them yesterday and when I opened the box, it was missing a set of cords, but gave me double of another. After caling Tritton, they said they're sending me out the missing pieces right away. In the box was 2 detachable microphones, and rca cords, but was missing the xbox360 communication cable, and the mp3 adapter. I am able to use the headset for game audio, but I have not been able to use the chat function. The design feels great, and comfortable, and the main cord is a good length. As far as sound, It sounds really good. I wish there was a way to adjust the treble, and bass, because some the mid-tones sound a little muddy. But for headphones, they are quite good. Even with the missing pieces, I would still highly recommend this product. I give it a 4/5 stars
i bought this because my wirless mic for xbox was super uncomfortable and putting these on was like heaven. they are super comfy and they have great sound.i just love playing intense games like mass effect and playing the sound through the headset. other reviews that say it is cheap are wrong. my bro ran it over with his wheel chair and they still work perfectly.
The overall sound quality is average I was using a Turtle Beach X1 and decided to upgrade a friend of mine suggested i try Tritton. So I went on Gamestops website at the time the AX120 had just been released. It was affordable so i purchased it right away. I was excited to try it out it was great for about 3 months as i took it off one day the left ear cup snapped off under little pressure. So i thought no big deal ill just super glue it so i did and all was well for 2 weeks. Just yesterday i was taking it off my head and the right ear cup snapped off so i tapped it. I regret buying this product due to the huge design flaw in ear cup weakness. I would recommend a Turtle Beach X11 over the AX120 due to durability and sound quality. But if u want something better i would recomend the Tritton Pros or Astros. DON'T GET THESE HEADPHONES!!!!!!!!!!!
Have had these for 2 weeks, used them for netflix, gaming, mp3 player and pc, have never had any type of problem. I can hear all sound much better, the only con is after a while it becomes kind of heavy on my head but I'd imagine it's the same with all other headsets. I would buy these again.
You can trust Triton for design and performance.
This head set was a real upgrade from the old one I had. The sleek design and clarity of the audio was a big factor and Triton was dead on. Id like to recommend this head set for people who are looking for a functioning headset that will not fail and look good while wearing them.
Great sound for the price, but not sturdy.
This headset has great sound quality for the price, great design, and great comfort. But the only downfall for this headset are its durability. The part where the headphone rotates about 90 degrees are the weakest point. It feels like everytime you rotate them, you're chafing it. Eventually they'll break off. Mine broke off when I rotated them. Then later I bought another one thinking I won't rotate them anymore. But about two days later, the right side cracked on the area where the headphones rotate. I never rotated them, I just opened them to put on my head and then felt the right side was a little loose or not applying enough pressure against my head like the left side. Then that's when I saw the crack. I'm just disappointed that these where my first gaming headsets and they failed on me by just moving them the way they were built to move. If you want a gaming headset, don't get the ones that rotate since they're very fragile. Think of it this way, they have huge headphones on the left and right, but are only held together by a small plastic cylinder which makes them rotate.
