Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Throat Communicator
Save Up 4 Somthing Better Or Get A Game!!!!
it was a little loose on my neck but that wasnt really a problem the problem was that my freinds could barley hear me and i couldnt hear them at all it was just bits and peices for everthing they say.
it is awsome
its perfict if you are looking for a cheap mic that works
Sorry I didn't hear you...there planting the bomb where...sorry I can't hear you. That is the only dialouge your teamates will hear with this headset. Take this advice from me if you want a mic don't spend $10 on a throat comunicator. Just buy a microsoft branded headset for $20 and if you have a bigger budget buy a real gaming headset. Bad idea, bad design, BAD PRODUCT!!!
Great headset for the price!
Bought this because I hated how poorly the generic 360 headsets were, and could never find any of the wireless ones that worked right. The guy at the store told me he heard good and bad things about it, but seeing as how it was only $9 I bought it. I gotta say, it was well worth the money. It's way better than the generic xbox headset, and everyone says they can hear me perfectly, compared to the last headset cutting in and out. Only downside is it picks up when i cough or scratch my neck, but i guess thats expected. Pick this up right now if you can still find any with the $9 price tag, well worth it.
unable to hear gaming buddies, constantly having to set the volume just to hear an speak.
Like it alot, hate it a tiny bit.
So I picked up the headset about a week ago, and so far its been my favorite headset, but this is only my second one. I had a madcatz 20 dollar one previously, which i still own just as a back up. I'm hoping i won't need it though because this one is terrific. I love how its not annoyingly sitting on your head, ready to slip as soon as you turn your head. The earpiece is nice and comfortable, and it has an easy to use mute/volume button. it also has a clip to keep the wire in place, say like on your shirt. Luckily my neck is on the small side because those with large ones won't like the small and yet unadjustable throat set.
What I dont like:
It does pick up outside noise more often than i like. I had it on and went to change a disc and someone could hear the tray opening and closing. but as far as my voice went it was clear and not muffled. i didn't even have to raise my voice at all, just talking normal.
Also, you do have to keep the tv volume low or it will pick that up as well.
But overall I'm impressed and in love with this headset, or rather throatset. Hopefully there will be an improved version later in the future.
Great for Glasses
I bought this headset because I have 3 kids and wanted something that would pick up sound from my throat no the room noise. I got a headset that was very comfortable to wear while wearing my NEW glasses. The headset doesn't use throat vibration like your standard throat communicators would but it does work quite well. I does still pickup background noise but it is little. The throat ring can be uncomfortable over time but for a few hours it is very nice. The ear piece is quite nice to keep things off your head.
Awesome but died after a couple months of use
This headset was awesome. Wicked cool but after a little while of use it just died. the throat modulator at least. The head piece still worked but the main part didn't.
Surprisingly good Mic
I bought this to replace an old standard microsoft xbox 360 mic. Initially my expectations were rather low but after a few hours of using it I came to find out that it is surprisingly a pretty good microphone. Really my only complaint would be that the band that fits around your neck is a bit on the small side but to be honest after using it few times I have become accustomed to it. I also noticed that my voice sounded just a bit deeper than on other mics but more than likely that is because of the placement of the microphone rather than being near the mouth. I play black ops quite a bit and have used it a lot. So far I have not had any complaints of sound quality or ambient noise being picked up by the mic. Overall with my experiences I feel its a good microphone for the price plus its pretty stylish as well.
Your voice sounds muffled
Im a big dude and this thing felt like I was being strangled by a weak midget. Everyone said my voice sounded muffled. I even had my roommate try it when we were in party chat and he is a little guy and his voice sounded muffled too. I returned it the next day.
Keep your money.
