Rated 4 out of 5 by from great exercise this is a great thing to have for your xbox. its fun and the entertainment lasts for a long time. about 10 mins of the kinect adventures and you realize that just 10 mins is better than a whole hour of p.e. in school. the multiplayer is kinda difficult to manage especially if you have limited space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome, especially with freinds The kinect is AWESOME. It tracks your motions very well and accurately. You will need 6-10 feet of space to play tho. Multiplayer is neverending fun, and all the little things in the games make the kinect awesome. Cooler games are coming out too! Kinect Adventures is a really good indoductory game. The kinect is for ALL ages, but i think younger kids will LOVE this thing to no end. When you have freinds/fam over, this is the most fun you could possibly have playing any kind of indoor game! The features of the kinect are definitely numerous, and any kind of gamer can find something that they love on the Kinect! Definitely reccomend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great i dont normaly say stuff microsoft makes is good but this is the best. it does have it problems but it is still fun. sometimes when you jump it doesnt read it but its not that bad. The funnest thing on it is kinect fun lab. i thought it would be stupid but its fun. the other problem is the game. kinect adventure is fun for a few hours but the game is boring. for 150 buck they could give you more than a 5 dollar game. i highly recommmand this and i never buy micrsoft items. i always buy 3rd party controllers ect. this is a must buy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A new experience in gaming Note I am NOT reviewing 'Kinect Adventures' as it essentially comes free with the Kinect itself. I did buy Kinect in a bundle with the Xbox 360 250GB S Console, but I am reviewing Kinect separately. Kinect is a fresh new experience in gaming. It feels like something out of science-fiction, only it's available today. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, which is track your every body movement. I was quite surprised how well it does it, too. It can tell how far away you are, what side of you it's looking at (if you're standing sideways) and will detect the very angle you're standing. Playing games with it is effective and really fun. Kinect really puts you in the system and feels very natural. It's almost as if you're there directly interacting with the virtual world. I docked the rating 2 points for the fact that it has a slight delay. You move and it will take at LEAST one second to react. This may not seem like a long delay, but you will plainly notice it when you get in a face-paced game. Depending on the game, it can take more time to process your movements. This system's technology is still new and is the first of it's kind. It seems like a natural evolution in video gaming. Kinect is a rich experience, but it's not perfect. Pretty close, though. I hope that in about five years there will be a new version with lower delay time. I recommend this to both casual gamers and devoted gamers. --------- Something you should consider before buying a Kinect is the space in your room. If you can't meet the spacial requirements, then this will be no good to you. I have a very small living room and I had to rearrange the furniture to make barely enough room for adequate playing space. I have 6 feet left-right space, from couch to couch, and playing a game that utilizes the maximum space of the Kinect, I find my feet will just touch the edges of the couches when I need to go far to the left or right. There's also about 8 feet from the Kinect and my back wall. I have to nearly press myself against the wall to be in proper positioning. So I can tell you that an EMPTY space of 6'x8' is the MINIMUM requirement to properly use this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product with a bright future I'm was very disappointed after I bought the Kinect because the lack of games for it. However, during the 2011 E3 Expo Microsoft unveiled that Mass Effect 3 & Ghost Recon Future Soldier will both be Kinect adaptable, so hopefully that means that more "serious" games will be made for the Kinect. Also, I was disappointed because of the need of space for the Kinect. In the end, the Kinect is a revolutionary product in the gaming world, and it was well designed & its works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love gaming. Kinect is fun, Ill give it that. It's much like the Wii where you pick it up....scratch that it has no controller...play around with it than you're done all of a sudden and it sits in the room gathering dust for a while. It's a great toy in all and works much better than the original Sony EyeToy with more enhancements allowing more possiblities to play games, but that is the problem with it, not enough games. Don't get me wrong. They are fun for a while with dancing, mini-games, and browsing Xbox with your voice. It's only because there are not enough games out for it yet. It's a great toy and that is all it is just a toy. The PS3 fanboys are just dissing it because for no reason at all. Yeah, Move is great and better Wii. Kinect is a better Sony EyeToy. Well, the Wii is a fun peripheral as well. There will probably be more great games for the Kinect sometime soon. The time isn't now. Whoever says Kinect is the best or Move or the Wii is are dead wrong. It's never about the motion peripherals. It's about the games. I love gaming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely recommend, it's really fun. Overall it's pretty awesome! The sensor works great, and haven't had any problems yet. I definitely recommend getting it, especially (like someone else said) if you like playing games with other people, and yes you do need quite a bit of space. Also as for the people comparing it to the PS3 Move, I have both, and like the Kinect better! NO CONTROLLERS AT ALL. Sure it doesn't have a lot of hard-core games YET, but from what I've been reading Microsoft plans on releasing some. E3 is coming up, you never know maybe they'll introduce some then. As a last thing, people need to stop being stupid fanboys, BOTH the PS3 and Xbox 360 are awesome game consoles, and BOTH have ups and downs to them. P.S. I'm sorry this is so long. Lol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from whats up with the ps3 fanboys. it works great but one flaw you need space to use it so if you have a small room or living room dont buy this and dont give it a bad review becouse you have a ps3.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great if you like facebook games and exercising This system is really fun at first. Then 2 hrs later you wonder why you bought it. It is great family fun and for partys however and is awesome for the casual gamer. Other than that wait till more games come out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for a 12 year old or a health nut. Like everyone else I got this system because all the cool ads that where on TV and Online. The best ad I saw was the star wars kinect which we are all still waiting for... All the games for the kinect are for kids or health nuts. I just looked at the ps3 move and the have kill zone 3, mortal kombat , scoom 3 , tiger woods masters, heavy rain, and many more. We have fury animals to pet and logs to jump. They have MLB. We have yoga. If I had known the Kincet would be like a wii with no controllers I would have gotten the ps3 move. In fact I think I will!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A powerful evolution on Motion Motion controls have always been something we wanted, as the dream in that, we always want to move around and do amazing things. With the Kinect, that dream is now reality. Kinect is a powerful device that can do a lot for a camera with a sensor. Once connected the kinect can ID the face of the player giving that player the power to be signed in without a touch of a button. This is a very good thing in that frankly, you never even have to use a controller to sign in. The games with kinect, limited as they may be, are a good thing to have in that, they are a shinning example of how technology has grown and become powerful. It's a fun device, and already it's being used in medical and other places because of it's requirement for the user to be active. It's fun, enjoyable and precise and those are the three things that make up a successful device like the Kinect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soo Aweeesome!!!!! Kinect is so awesome.Anyone who says this is bad is just some play station loser mad that it's better than the move. It's simple to set up besides a few things you have to do to set up the sensor. Once you start playing you just get addicted. Kinect Adventures is really kiddy and gets boring after a long time so I suggest buying a different game like kinect sports with it. All the hardcore gamers might think that they wouldn't want to buy this but it's a bonus to the 360. I play kinect sports for a while and then kick back and play COD. If it was a whole new system I wouldn't buy it. Besides the games, there's other fun things to do with it too. You can go on zune or ESPN or video chat with your friends with video kinect. The only downside is that every once in a while the sensor messes up. Overall, kinect is an awesome addition to xbox.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great if it had games to go with it. I was very excited when this thing first came out. I pre ordered it and picked it up day of release. I figured wave of the future I cant wait until the first, FPS they make for it. Since the release its been a dust catcher. Games like dance revolution and Create your own pet arent what I wanted from this thing. I like the responsiveness and the facial recognition. But unless you're entertaining a couple of 12 year olds the game selection for this thing isnt much. They have a great technology but dont put enough time into creating worthy games to go with it. Step it up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beat that wii and move i reconmend waiting until more games comeout but overall performance is remarkable. but it still has issues sometimes the sensor misreads movements and the voice reconition is low, also if you have a small spaced room its pretty hard to play. but its futuristic and thats what we expect out of a gamesystem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fun and exciting new way to play I was skeptical about Kinect at first but i have to say i am quite pleased. I do own a Wii and while it is similar, it is a completely new experience. More games will come in time that appeal to the more "hardcore" audience (shooters, rpg, action..etc) but to start the games that are available do a good job with the technology and they are fun alone or with friends. (I own Kinect Sports (sold separate) as well as Kinect adventures which comes with the sensor.) If you're looking for something to help you get up and be more active while still enjoying fun exciting games then i would recommend Kinect. The future of this technology will allow for an amazing gaming experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition! I absolutely love the kinect and the new levels of gameplay that it offers. I was looking for something to help add a little more activity into my life without the hassle of strapping a controller to your leg and definitely found it with this system. It is great to play with a group of friends, but as other reviewers have commented about make sure you have ample room. I also enjoy the physical fitness programs available for the Kinect as well, currently I'm using Your Fitness Evolved and will probably add The Biggest Loser ion the near future. You can get a great cardio and toning workout without the added hassle of getting yourself to the gym. All in all it is a great thing to have the kinect and I would definitely recommend anyone adding this to their xbox 360 system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it :D I really love my kinect games. I bought mine and loved it on the first day, Some people say it doesn't work right when they play it. You may just have to put your position 8 feet away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DONT LISTEN TO PS3 FANBOYS I bought this with high expectations and i was happy to find out it works perfectly with multiple cameras to pick up your bodys motions and voice and facial recognition which means it sees you hears you and isn't laggy at all people that said it was probrably had a connection issue i am a ps3, wii, and xbox 360 owner and i do have playstation move and it is good but it dosen't have half the features of the kinect and if you want to play sitting down all the time this might not be for you and you need about five feet or more to play properly but if u want to get some physical gameplay into your couch potato gameplay this is perfect and you never have to worry about controllers dying cause you are the controller and chances are your not going to die soon if your playing this

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's okay if you have lots of space. You need 6-8 feet to play this. The sensor recognizes you quickly, but has to often. If you have enough room, i guess it isn't so bad

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kinect Kinect is a very cool piece of technology made for Microsofts Xbox 360. The way it works is very similar to the Playstation's Eye Toy: You stand in front of the TV and play games without a controller. I own a Kinect, and i can safely say that it is amazing to play, escepcially the first time when you see a game mimick your movements. Kids and adults alike will love this peripheral. Now, there are many complaints about the Kinect, and I will discuss them and realate it to my experiences. 1. Requries a huge amount of space. I do not have problems with this at all. I have a good six or seven feet of room in front of my TV, and have experienced no problems at all. 2. But lots of lights. Again, not a problem. Just make sure the lights are turned on. I even own those low light, eco-friendly light bulbs and it sees me fine even at night. 3. Can't play while seated. ????? I do not understand this. None of the launch games (as of January 27th) are meant to be played while sitting, minus maybe Kinect Joyride. There are dance games, racing games, fighting games, fitness games, mini-game compliations... you simply do not sit while playing these games. The kinect is a very active system. 4. Buy new TV. As long as the space is clear in front of the kinect sensor, there is no problem. 5. No launch games. i can see where this is coming from. True, there are only fifteen launch games, and less than half are worth playing, but some of them are pretty good. Adrenaline Misfits, Dance Central, Kinect Sports, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, Kinectimals, and The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout are really the only ones you should buy. Some others are mediocore, like Game Party: In Motion, Sonic Free Riders, Zumba Fitness, Dance Masters, and Kinect Joyride, while others are awful: Fighters Uncaged, MotionSports. However, as of January 27th, new Kinect games have been announced. A trivia game called You Don't Know Jack (of the 2000 computer game), an educational game called Body and Brain Exercises, two horror games called Haunt and Rise Of Nightmares, a bowling game called Brunswick Pro Bowling, several more dance and fitness games, and a strange, but highly anticipated, game called Child Of Eden. The Kinect for the most part tracks your moves flawlessly in most games, and definetly makes you sweat! It's a great way to stay active. Unfortunatly, the included game called Kinect Adventures is not so much a game, but more of a smapler that shows you what the Kinect can do, so I suggest you buy a few games I listed above. Overall, Kinect is a fun (if over-hyped) gaming peripheral that lets you stay active and fun games. This is highly recommended, I just hope they can make a diffrent variety of games, since the Kinect is capable of so much.
