Xbox 360 Hard Drive 250GB
Must buy if your on a 20gb
I recently ordered 120gb hard drive for like *** dollars, then as soon as it got to my house, this HDD came out, and I instantly returned the 120gb, and man I'm glad I did. After it got to my house, it was like 248gb because of demo's, but they were well worth it, and you can just delete them. This was such a great buy because I had 20gb HDD and only 3gb left, this save me a ton, AND IT WAS CHEAPER THEN THE 120gb HDD! Yeah I know you can get like 250gb for a computer for under 50 bucks, but think of it like this, for the 360, games are smaller in memory. The HDD also comes with a transfer cable so you could also transfer all your memory. This will save you loads as well because now you can download all those HD movies or those arcade games, or those huge addons or demo's. Highly Reccomend, five out of five.
A must-have for XBox LIVE junkies...
Space - It seems like no matter how much space you think you have, eventually, you run out of it. For those like me who always want to get the best of multiplayer shooter and are always downloading new maps, play modes, etc., this is a very welcome upgrade! XBox LIVE is ever growing. With recent additions like the Zune Marketplace, Netflix, and full XBox/XBox360 game downloads, you'll need the space more than ever. If you make the most of everything XBL has to offer, don't hesitate, and get this drive. PROS: Space, and lots of it! You can copy 10 of your favorite games to the HDD and STILL have more room than the 120GB HDD. Ease of Installation - the drive will just snap right in, and the included Drive Transfer Kit makes it a snap to move all of the data from your old drive, no matter what size it was. Reliability - I still have my old 20GB HDD, which still works. Since it's almost 5 years old, I have no doubt that this model will be just as durable. CONS: The Price. At its introductory price (mine was purchased shortly after release), it's still slightly more than double the price of your average 250GB laptop drive. of course, the fact that the drive has built-in protection in hardware makes it your only upgrade option. Sony's DRM solution to allow standard SATA drives is the superior design choice in my opinion. In closing, if that 120GB drive of yours (or smaller) is bursting at the seams with all that great XBox LIVE content, this is a no-brainer. The price for this drive, although still higher than a stand-alone HDD, is the best value offered by Microsoft to date. If you own an Arcade model, this is your best value in storage expansion. That's why the XBox360 250GB HDD gets a 9.0(8.0 Design, 10.0 Durabilty) out of 10 on my opinion.
what a buy
i was going to buy a 120gb hard drive until i saw the new 250gb hard drive. the 120gb was actually more than the 250gb. i couldnt believe the 250 was cheaper but i bought it the same day i found out about it. now i can stream videos and game demos without worry about space. My xbox seems more like a media center now and i am very happy with it. i will recommend this to all my xbox360 friends. Now i can try every demo there is before i buy, no more guessing how good it is. i have the xbox360 arcade and bought a 20gb hard drive and after a few demos and videos you are out of space but 250gbs is the way to go. The best buy i ever made for the 360 and transferring data is so simple with the included transfer cable. This product is for the true xbox360 gamer, you cant go wrong, thumbs up xbox
you can play every xbox360 game from this
great hard drive.clips right on the xbox and thats it.very easy to use and you can play every xbox360 game from it.great buy.
BEST THING EVER
This is like the best thing you could ever buy. alot of space for my downloads and installs and plus its alot faster to save your games.
About friggin time
It's about time Microsoft releases a hard drive that doesn't cost over a dollar per gigabyte. Finally we can afford high capacity storage for our 360s and not feel violated after buying it.
Worth Every Penny
This is the very best hard drive ever I have tons of game add-ons and even full games on it. It has never crashed on me. One suggestion I have for gamers with this hard drive is to download your games from the disc to the hard drive, you still have to put in the disc but it is a lot faster loading and connects to Xbox Live almost twice as fast. For those of you without Xbox Live this hard drive is not for you.
They could have released this earlier, but...
I'm glad they decided to release this separately at all. Keeping the 250 drive exclusive to new console purchases would have been a very unwise decision on their part. Given how much it costs, there's really no reason to look at 60 or 120 drives for your 360 anymore. Even if you don't plan on downloading much, at least this size drive will allow you to install all of your games without having to worry about juggling the space for them. Definitely a purchase for any 360 owner.
do you really need the space
if you have xbox live you may think this is somthing you may think would be handy well NO!!! you will still need your disk's to play those games you installed to your xbox so no need there and now that zune is now on xbox live you will more than likely to streem (do you really want to wait for a download) the only way i see buying this at all is if you plan on downloading games from the marketplace but you will find that you cant take your game to a friends house w/out your HD+internet (internet needed for a varifiction codes) its to to much work
i had a 120HD when i frist got my xbox but this was before updates for zune and installs
No need to worry about losing memory!
I like this hardrive especially because you don't need to worry about how much space you have left. you can download something and feel that you can download everything. the price is a little expensive but it is totally worth it. From games to videos, you can downnload anything you want. the 20 Gb, the 60 Gb, and the 120 Gb are totally not worth it because I would want the most Gb's so I know I have enough room.
