great but slow to learn.
when i got this guitar i was excited to start learning how to play real guitar. and it does just that the major concern with this guitar was that it is really slow at learning and has a ridiculous learning curve instead of just jumping into songs you have to do lessons for it and it takes a really long time to learn. another thing that can be very annoying about this is that most old dlc doesnt have support for this and any dlc that does you have to pay extra 80 microsoft points per song in order to play pro guitar/bass on those songs so you will mainly be stuck with the on disk songs. i can play on expert guitar and i had to learn and now i can play a few songs on expert bass but and one on guitar but its just a very very slow process and it can be very frustrating sometimes and i often find myself not playing it because i dont want to deal with it. after all its great and i am better at real guitar but for the price its not worth that much maybe somewhere in the 90s as the the highest. i would recommended this if you're genuinally interested in playing real guitar and have the money to spend.

workable lag
I baught this guitar to learn to play standard guitar instead of the slide steel I currently play. So far the guitar works pretty good but mine seems to have a bit of a delay. You have to play around with the setting to get things down but after that the delays do seem to be pretty steady. A little warning about RB3 pro however. If you dont know tab then watch the videos they will explain how to actually read the screen, and no its not tab just simular. also I fint the finger spacing to be slightly off from my Gretch but its nothing that practice wont cure. I personaly rate this at 9 because of the unavoidable delay. I would still say that even with the stringed guitar comeing out by this one instead because you can already use a midi guitar ($2,000 +) or get a midi converter but alll that is going to cause even bigger delays. As for RB3 teaching you to play guitar? I think it might? but it will teach you nothing of how to read music. It also starts you on the wrong strings and does nothing to help you solve the bad habits you will develope early on.

Great guitar trainer/simulator
I just got this and habe to say that i find it to be a great and fun way to learn the basics of guitar play. At first i thought there is now way, but after playing for 45 minutes i could already see improvements going through the pro guitar training mode. Now, this is not a perfect guitar simulator, as it is not a real guitar. the frets are all the same width, which i thought would be more of a problem than it was, but it has not been so far, probably because i dont play a real guitar. Also, its not a real guitar so its a little pricey, but it has been fun and i have noticed quick improvement so i highly recommend this. There is a big learning curve and you will need to be very patient, but if you are i think this can g oa long way to teaching someone how to play the guitar for the most part

Get this!
I love this guitar. I bought one the other day, just lucky I guess in finding it. It makes the game feel like new all over again. The overdrive works alot better than before, but there is no whammy bar, why?

great!!!
I cant wait to get this guitar. ive grabbed my real guitar and played along to songs with youtube! its way better in the real game im sure. how you play in the game is how you play for real. it's awesome! (tuning is usually down a half step in the game then regular e tuning)

Pretty Fun
I've played the guitar and its pretty fun. its easy to use but it you have no prior guitar experience then theres a huge learning curve. There is one downside if you have bought a ton of dlc you cant use the pro guitar on any dlc you have bought. You can use the pro guitar to play on normal by using the first 5 buttons or the last 5 buttons (Solo Buttons). I think this is worth $150 if your serious abought trying to learn the guitar, im not saying this will make you a rock legend but it will help you get the basics down.

fun but patience is a virtue
Had the guitar a few days now its fun but having no prior guitar experince learning the real thing on this guitar will take a long time. Its light decent size only about 5 inches smaller than the real thing. The strings seem fragile but if you are careful with it it can last a long time the buttons are fine easy to press for me anyway. Its a perfect solution until the squire real guitar comes out march 1st
