Zumba Fitness: Join the Party
it is awesome!
it is the best game in the wrld i love it i eill never stop playing it
Fun game but need some improvements
I purchased this game in PS3 version. I agree with all other gamers' comments: this is a fun game. The game is much cheaper than gym membership, and we can all enjoy the workout without being laughed at by other people in the class. Have I mention this game is very addicted, and makes you sour allover even just in 20 minutes ( for starters)? However, I think there are some improvements that need to be adjusted. I guess I have a weird body shape, the belt that comes with the bundle will not stay at the same spot throughout the session. I spent most of my time on re-adjusting the belt. I thought about switch to the 360 version, but the motion recognition from Kinect is not so great. In addition, 360 version is 10 bucks more than Wii and PS3 versions, and I just don't think it is worth of my time and money to switch it. I have also heard from many customers that they wish the company can use more popular songs. I personally don't have problem with the music, but I think it may not be a bad suggestion.
I have been a Zumba Instructor for a year now, and have been taking classes for almost 2 years. I wasnt expecting a whole lot out of this game, but thought it would be sort of fun. This game is A LOT OF FUN! A lot more fun than I thought it would be! I love playing. The moves are easy to follow and it actually gives you a good work out. Its a lot better than the Dance Dance Revolution games too. We have both a Wii and an Xbox 360, and I like that you don't need to buy anything else for this one. I just couldn't justify spending $150 for the Kinect and then another $50 for the game. It works great on the wii with the Zumba belt that holds the controller (that comes free with the game!) I would highly recommend this game for anyone who likes Zumba, or anyone who likes to dance. I
I do just have to start off by saying if you have never been to a zumba class dont write a review on the game well unless its a good one. This game is AWESOME!!! i love zumba but with a little one and my husband in Afghanistan getting to the gym became harder and harder. I gained 80 pounds when i was pregnant which was really hard for me but when i started doing zumba i lost it all and am now back to my 125 pound body. This game is exactly like the classes, easier even since you get to chose your skill level and how long you work out and they actually give you some direction. My first few classes i was a deer int he head lights they do not and can not give instructions in classes since it is so fast passed and they know eventually you will catch up. In the game on beginner workout they give you a lot of directions. The only thing i dont like is the cool down iffiness i lose all my bonus points there since your just stretching it has a hard time registering if your doing it correctly. Your not going to see results if you dont apply yourself but if you do i promise the results will be amazing.
Please read! (srry posted as a comment before)
Okay, So I've read comments about this game and some of them I find to be completely inaccurate.
First of all, you should do research about what Zumba is in the first place - the type of dance and the music involved. and plus its Latin type dancing so of course all you are going to understand is "ZUMBA". Alot of the songs are made specifically for Zumba and the workout.
Second, buy the game if you are wanting to workout/have fun. I've seen so many people complain about how the reading with the Wii remote is bad and whatnot, but who cares what score you get? Its a workout game!!!!! haha. Also, my friend comes over and just dances along with me without a remote...however when you play at least one person should have the remote because there are stages you reach during each of the routines.
Also, to the people who complain that its too hard. I can agree that it can be for the first few times but you'll eventually get the hang of it with practice. Also, I can understand how it would be harder because it doesn't tell you what moves come next like the Just Dance 2 game does (which I have and love as well!) but the thing is, when you go to a Zumba class at the gym, thats exactly how it is anyways. You follow the teacher and just catch on.
I don't understand how someone wouldn't like the game. Its fun and a really good workout and I def recommend it to anyone...especially for people who like to dance like me! :)
Hope this review helps:)
Only for those who already do Zumba
I just bought it and brought it home thinking that it would be a very fun interactive game and a good edition to my Wii Fitness collection. Unfortunately, it is not. While making a profile was no trouble, the tutorials were very lacking. I need it to explained exactly what is going on and I need to be able to get the step correctly more than twice before moving on. Don't travel around and not show or tell me where I need to put my feet before just doing it and assuming I got it in the basic step portion like the basic calypso. I should not have to drag out and put down my Wii-mote just to figure out what is happening. Also the sensors do not work, I can stand in one place and lightly move the Wii-mote back and forth and win. The only people who enjoy the game have already done Zumba classes or videos. I looked this up. So, now I am going to try to return the game and buy a video or a podcast, as that is probably the best way for me to get actual instructions in my area.
The most fun you can have
I had the opportunity to try this out in August. The graphics are great, music selection is amazing, and the fun was endless.
Over all Awesome
Aside from the cool down which is hard to get the game to register this is a fabulous game. I am meeting my fitness goals fairly quickly and don't have time to hit the gym. It doesn't seem like 45 mins has past when I'm doing this. If i don't like the ong or maybe the steps I know it will be over in 2-4 mins and the next song begins. It's really fun and easy to follow along and I am truley excited by the results and none of the gym cost lol. Beware this game is VERY addicting once you start seeing the results.
Great work out!
The Zumba video game is just like participating in a live zumba class. Not only is the sound quality great, the game offers a great variety of songs to prevent bordem while working out. The belt the game comes with is a decent length so that people of all ages and sizes should be able to wear it. The gaming aspect of Zumba fitness is in party mode. A player must complete all excercises in the party mode to unlock more work outs and back grounds. A player can be set to easy, intermediate or expert. Each player can excercise on each of those settings in beginer, intermediate and expert. Excerise time are 20 min or 45 min long. I love it!
