Zumba Fitness: Join the Party
by a video instead
tutorial OK; Doesn't track motions. Set controller on table and stared at TV: it said I was doing great. Just stood there tapping my feet: it said I was doing great. A little hard to follow some steps, graphics are the issue. I would recommend either buying a video and following it, or buy your favorite dance CD and dance to it for 30 minutes a day. Also, some of the lyrics aren't appropriate for children, suggestive.
This game is, the perfect mixture of fun and challenging. It is slightly hard to do though if you have no idea what your doing but if you pay attention to the tutorial, it'll be a breeze. The moves are fast paced when not in tutorial so it takes a lot of practice in the tutorial before you can glide through the beginner 20 minuet class. I love this game and would definitely recommend this game to everyone that likes a good workout while having a blast learning how too dance.
I have gained alot of weight while pregnant with my child and havent lost none. I figured i would try this cuz I am always doing stupid little dances for my baby. At first i could only do 5 mins. Then i went to 10. I couldnt do the steps and i was exhausted. Then the 2nd week it got so much easier. If I couldnt do a step i would try nearest to it. Well towards The end of 2nd week is when I started to weigh. I do the 20 mins of the easy clas. Usually once a day but I have been having so much energy I do it 2 day sometimes. And weather has been nice and with all this energy i walk a couple times a day. I lost 6 pds in 5 days cuz of the zumba. I gave me energy to do so much more. I catch myself moving my hips walking to another room. Give it a chance it definat works.
I have complaints about this game
1. it doesn't track use (i.e, how long sessions last). I like to know, without having to write it down, how long I've worked out and my progression toward the next level. 2. the sensor doesn't pick up many of my movements, especially belly dancing. 3. there is no option for exiting the program. 4. I found the tutorial to learn the steps hard to catch on to, and it blew through many of the movements. 5. for beginners, the steps are too fast, especially if you're working out on carpet. Other than that, you can get your blood pumping and legs moving.
WOW, THIS IS GREAT!
If you love to dance, you will LOVE this! Exercise while having FUN....what a concept. I just started out, I'm overweight and somewhat out of shape so it's pretty exhausting! I can tell though that it's going to accomplish what I thought it would (to help me lose weight and shape up at the same time). I really love that it starts out with warm up "dances" and also has "cool down" dance moves. LOVING IT!!!!!!!
I love it!
Ok...so i was a little skeptical about getting the game, but I finally did. It is great! The music is awesome and it really is a workout! I skipped learning the moves because it was actually more difficult than just doing a routine. I would recommend this a million times! Can't wait for the second one!
As a guy i was a little hesitant to buy this game but i wanted a really good cardio workout that didn't feel like a "workout"plus i wanted to improve my more advance dance skills and this game delivers in both aspects! I highly recommend this game rather you want to learn to dance better, get a good cardio workout, or both.
takes working out to the next level
I luv it :) I notice that once I started playing My lil one jumped in then my mom. now the entire family loves working out to ZUMBA. Trust me if you thought working out was borning then get ZUMBA all I know is that you wont be bored not even for a second. :)
I was on my high school's dance team 8 years ago so I have had previous dance experience. I do not find it difficult to keep up with the dance moves. It's so fun and I do not realize I have worked out because I have so much fun while dancing. I find myself actually breaking a sweat! Great workout! My only complaint is that the belt rides up on me. I have to adjust it between each routine. It's fine with me though. I'm not a very picky person. Very affordable compared to the zumba classes in my town. I would recommend this game to others!
Everything about this game was a disappointment for me. I bought it to help me lose weight and to learn a few dance moves. Well, first of all, unless you already know how to dance, you will be stuck doing just the tutorials for quite some time and the tutorials are for the intermediate, not beginners. I don't know if it's just the Wii game or if all the platforms are like this, but when you have the belt on and the remote on with it, every single movement your hips make the game assumes you are doing it correctly and on tempo with them and it speeds you right thru the tutorials. I had to take the remote off to practice the steps. In order to move on to the actual "game", you need to really ace the tutorials, otherwise you'll find yourself sitting down and just watching. Its very very difficult.
I was also very disappointed in the graphics. Reminds me of some 70's disco club with people dancing behind the screen so all you see are silhouettes. When the steps change to the next foot it's a big surprise. It doesn't show the change. It just clips it out and all of a sudden the dance instructor is on the next foot. I could have just gone to the beginners class at my gym where they show you the moves and change ups.
As far as the music is concerned, never heard any of it. It would have been nice, and helpful even, to hear music that I would hear on the radio.
Craigslist, here I come.
