Rated 1 out of 5 by from took it back the next day I practice yoga whenever I can and I like the routines on the the wii fit plus when I need something quick. I was very disappointed in this. How are you supposed to do the poses with your head twisted at the screen all the time? The instruction was very poor. They did not walk you through the poses properly or guide you at all, so you felt like you were always missing something. I tried to do a routine, but did not know when to switch poses because they did not guide me through it. This was not what I expected. If you want to introduce yourself to the basic idea of yoga, fine, but be very careful or you will get hurt without proper instruction. The idea is cool, but I wish they would do a game like this with all the poses and some instruction to go along with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned within 8 hours Do not waste your time, you're going to end up driving back to the game store to return it!!! This game is AWFUL!! I've been doing yoga for a long time, and was so disappointed! The graphics are ridiculously horrible! And I can't decide if the sound is just as bad, or worse. They don't explain the position at all, or describe how to do it correctly! If your new to yoga, you WILL hurt yourself! It's very important that your breathing works with your movements and they don't explain any of this, nor do they tell you how to flow through the position, so you have to keep your head tilted toward the TV to watch the movements, which obviously throws off your spinal alignment!! You have to watch to see when they come out of position. And don't be fooled by the balance board option! It is only used through training, not the regular routines, so again, your on your own! I wanted to be able to practice yoga at home, but I still wanted guidance. All the other fitness games I've purchased gave me some sense of that! After I played around for 45 mins, I just went to Wii Fit Plus, and did my routine, I traded this for EA workouts. PLEASE be careful choosing this game, if your a beginner and aren't familiar with the poses you will hurt yourself! Practice safely!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New to Yoga....but loving it I just started to take yoga this year. I've found it enjoyable and it has definitely improved my flexibilty and health. So when I saw this game and more so that it had some historical info on yoga and its history etc (I'm a little bit of an information freak) I was excited to see what it was all about. Plus the balance board feature attracted me as well since my balance is terrible. Well, I can tell you now after a few days of messing around with this game that it works for me. It really tests my balance and I think/hope that its improved since I started. And I really dig the historical information about the history and origins of yoga itself. It's pretty cool to understand why and where it all came from. Now I can drop a few intelligent comments around other yogis, lol. The graphics and sound are as good as a Wii game can be, I mean it's not like my PS3 but I knew that going in. All in all, I'd recommend this for a junior yoga practitioner for sure, in fact I am getting one for my sister for Christmas. Anyway, yoga is a great exercise and this game is a nice compliment to any persons yoga schedule. MK

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yoga in my life At first I was skeptical, but since we already have a Wii console in the house, we decided to get the game for those rainy Sundays when both the kids and the adults are stuck indoors with nothing much to do. It’s not the kind of screaming great fun that one can have with party and quiz games and mostly it’s our elder daughter playing. The boys have been making fun of her but I suppose they’re just jealous and want to use the Wii to play other games. She says it’s a fun kind of traditional sport that helps with her balance and her overall health. So far we’ve spent several evenings playing without a minute of boredom yet. It’s weird at first to stand on one leg holding the other one and trying to concentrate on both nothing and holding the controller in balance at the same time, but even I soon got the hang of it and it’s quite fun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My gf gave it to me When I got this from my girlfriend I was like l0l, what? But we gave it a try and it’s actually not bad. There is a guru who talks about a lot about the Ancient Art of yoga & such and you get to do weird tricks like stand on one leg and fold the other one up and hold your arms just right and try not to not fall over, and it measures if you lean too much to the left, like I always do. We laugh a lot while playing and it’s a bit silly, but we finally found a game we both like to play and so: EPIC WIN! This is an unusual game for me, you’ll feel just like in an Indian Ashram, with both a European girl and an older Indian guy giving you information about Yoga and hints on how to improve your own Yoga skills. You shouldn’t expect a game you need to beat for points, there’s no puzzles, no story, no mystery, no mad button-mashing and no shooting. Which is different let me tell you, but enjoyable...even if the gf laughs at me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice addition to my exercises and health! I was shocked when at age 40 I was diagnosed with a whole range of potentially life-threatening conditions including way too much cholesterol and high blood pressure. I gave up smoking and deep fried food, and started Yoga exercises. That was in 1997. Today, I am an active Yoga practitioner, and in *much* better health than I was those twelve years ago! I bought the game to try and get my son Brian (17) into Yoga, and we tried it out together. It’s not fast-paced enough for him, he gets bored after 20 minutes but I just love walking through a virtual Asian temple (even if my son says that other games have even better-looking architecture) and reading the information about Yoga which seems quite well-researched. It’s great how the game uses the controller to check how well you’re performing an Asana, I’ve been practicing for over ten years and still got valuable feedback from the game. My son also tried a few postures – the first tries were rather wobbly, but he’s getting better and I think he likes the game even if he doesn’t admit it because it’s “not cool” (i.e. nothing explodes and you can’t beat up anyone). It’s not a game that will keep kids entertained for very long, there’s no mad jumping around and so forth, but with its large amount of Yoga information and well over a dozen Yoga practices, it has potential keep their parents both well-entertained and healthy for years.
