When you use the balance board for this game, the skiing is very fun, exciting, and indoor. I think they captured real skiing very well, but the cartoony, fun graphics aren't really my style. I would recommend this game to any one who wants to be a skier, is a skier, or just likes fun games. The controls with the balance board are excellent, but when you try to go fast and tuck without it, it is nearly impossible to turn. I found the challenge very easy, the races progress in difficulty, but they are still way too easy even the last one. Also, the delivery, pick-up, mogul, and terrain park challenges are all simple. The amount of jumps in the game is minimal, and there is only one terrain park. If you want a cheap, fun, and semi-short lasting game that is very amusing, this game is a good choice. Hints in Game: there is a secret trail that can be skied on first when you do the last pick-up challenge. There is a secret trick if you can find a certain guy on the side of a trail (rodeo 1080)

When we got a Wii for Christmas, this was one game that caught my eye. It is very enjoyable to play. It's not something super simple and does take some practice. I enjoyed it more than the others in my home because I took the time to go to the ski school and learn the various moves and how to do things while on the slopes. Those who chose not to and just wanted to ski were left standing there uncertain how to do anything. Mostly the arms are moved in a skiing fashion with remotes moved in directions to turn. There are races against the computer and task to complete. If you chose not to attempt do the task, the game may get old fairly quick. One of the best was my wife and I getting to ski together on split screen, ocassionally passing one another on the slopes and using the map to see where each other is. The game is great for those willing to learn the moves and do the task, otherwise after an hour of skiing around an falling, it could get old to some.

I don't have a balance board but I know someone who has the game and says the board is a pain in the butt because you constantly have to reconfigure everything to a persons weight.
I am not a huge skier but I thought the game looked fun. You can use a wiimote and a nunchuck. The game has a ski school where you can learn the basics of skiing which is pretty fun. You can customize certain characters, you can also use you nintendo created mii's if you chose to do so EXCEPT they can not be customized with ski gear or anything. I can kind of seeing it getting boring just skiing around the mountains after awhile. unless you seek out people and do mini challenges for them. I think the graphics are good and crisp, the music is nice although the ski school teachers voice gets on my NERVES.. so all in all I dont feel like I was duped on this game.. Haven't tried out the ski races yet! Still in ski school learning to ski lol!

I think this game is just, plain and simply, AMAZING. I love the way you get to customize your skiier, including adding your Mii character. The music is awesome. I think you'll love it, too.

I bought this game due to it being the only other game out there right now to use with the wii balance board. It was a very reasonably priced game and had positive reviews from the 3 people here that reviewed it. I wasn't disappointed in it at all! It met every expectation that I had. The game had great graphics and a really cool design. I liked how realistic the skier / movements were to actual skiing. My children really enjoyed the game. It also lets you go from competive sking verses the computer or someone else to doing a tour of the ski complex looking for diffent people as sort of a scaveger hunt. You get stars for each thing completed that you can then use in the pro shop to upgrade equiment. It also has little challenges along the way that teach you things about the game along the way like how to make slow turns which are then useful during other aspects of the game.

I originally got this game thinking it would be OK. However, I have been amazingly surprised at the recreation of a "virtual" ski area. This game is awesome with the Wii Fit Balance Board. You can set it up to carve like in the real world. I got a real sense of skiing with this product. The mountain is laid out for a variety of skiing skill sets. From mogul competitions (very challenging), slalom events, bunny hills, icy runs to tuck and go. The mountain has it all. Tons of mini ski challenges which will keep one busy for a while. You can choose from night or day skiing. My best experience was at night. It was snowing and the wind was blowing yet I stayed very warm during the experience! Highly recommend to any one who loves to ski, hates driving, hates lift lines and cringes at high lift ticket prices!!

This game is definitely fun, fun fun. I rented it and don't want to give it back! You can explore a ski resort or participate in a race - mogul, slalom or one-on-one. You can play with or without the balance board (only on player with the balance board, up to four without). Playing with two players is fun because, like at a real resort, you can lose your friend and end up on opposite ends of the mountain if you don't keep with them. A few caveats: It isn't quite like real skiing, though it's closer with the balance board. Many of the controls, like snowplowing and jump tricks, are done with the wii controller and nunchaku - not your feet, When you talk to a character, the response is in text on the screen and beeps, which is a little annoying. Given those minor caveats, this is definitely a fun game.

We played this game prior to buying, It was really awesome!!! We have played all levels of this game and we also found hidden trails to ski by accident, The only downfall to this game was some things are hard to find when you take certain challenges from interactive players in the game. Its overall a really fun and exciting game, It really helps with the hand eye coordination to play and its not your average sit down and play type game, we did get online and got some tips from the online cheats but overall they didn't provide a whole lot of info that we did not already figure out on our own. I do highly recommend this game for any family with young kids and we will be purchasing the 2nd version Wii We Ski Snowboarding as soon as it comes out.Great fun for all!!!

This game is amazing! Very fast loading does not take a lot Wii Space Memory. It has school training for first time teach you tricks and moves. Also you can talk to another Mii in the game like CEO Ski Mii etc.. You can ride ski lefts and race with other Mii's. The sound effects sounds good and the background music. The night time mode is pretty it dose have fireworks and nighttime holiday lights and regular street lamps so you can see. You can use your Nun chuck and Wii Remote control of the movements of the game pretty neat. I can't wait to try out the Balance Board it might be allot easier then using Nun chuck don't know it will be easier just yet. Next week Balance Board will be out May 21! Can't wait get my hands on Wii Fit it will be excited week next week!

We Ski was truely a great original entry in the list of Wii titles, one that is frequently overlooked as one of the Wii's best while yet to those who've played it, it's right up there with the big releases. We Ski is basically what the title suggests: skiing. You are either your Mii or an avatar created specifically for the game (not at all like a Mii). The game's a free roamer with no real ending or point; thus it's great for a party. Not only that, but within the game there are challenges to hone your skiing skills: simple races, mogul challenges to even food deliveries (which are the funnest--if you take a certain approach to them such as mine which is ramming into the food recipient at high speeds and screwing up the delivery). Each time you complete one of the mountain's hills, a ranking is given to see how you did; these and doing the activities earn you "stars" which are used to unlock more gear to customize your character's outfit. Another cool thing is that while you ski at certain locations you can have a photo taken with you and your fellow skiing friends and pick poses; after the photo is taken and saved it can be sent to the Wii Message Board to send to other friends. The controls are a snap and easy to learn with Ski School, which explains the controls perfectly. This makes the game a must have and no matter if you buy this game or its successor We Ski and Snowboard, you're bound to get a perfect game!
