Rated 9 out of 10 by m and p great game
bought tw11 and it is great. better graphics than tw10. better control and feeling for the game. i have had it for 5 days and have played it every day. really don't like the true view and went back to the standard view. using advanced setting makes for a realistic game of golf. can't wait to try the top 2 settings. went through all of the challenges in order to get my settings maxed out. have 3 of the 4 maxed and will now play tournaments in order to max out the spin. i really wish that ea sports would include better instructions with the game, but if you know where to look, they area available. with the four different settings for a golfer, the wife can also play once i get her charachter set up. i am not too happy with the range of charachters and wish they woudl ahve more choices. overall am very pleased with tw11 and would recommend it. great golf game

I'M A NOVICE GOLFER AND THIS GAME REALLY MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE ON THE GOLF COURSE. FROM THE PRECISION CONTROLS TO THE CUSTOMIZATION OF YOUR OWN CHARACTER, THERE IS SO MUCH REALISM TO THIS GAME ITS RIDICULOUS. NOT TO MENTION THE TEAM ONLINE PLAY, WHICH LETS YOU PLAY TEAM MATCHES, UP TO 12 I THINK. IF YOU LIKE GOLFING, OR WOULD LIKE TO LEARN, THIS GAME WOULD DEFINITELY NOT LET YOU DOWN. FORGET ALL THE EXPENSIVE GOLF LESSONS, GO GET THIS GAME AND START TEEING OFF. MY WIFE GOT THIS FOR ME AS AN EARLY FATHER'S DAY GIFT AND I HAVE NOT STOP PLAYING YET. IM PRETTY SURE THERE ARE SOME CONS IN THE GAME BUT THUS FAR I HAVE NONE TO DISCLAIM, OTHER THAN BEING SORE AS HELL FROM THE SWINGING OF THE WII REMOTE, I MUST SAY AS WITH ANY WII GAME DEFINITELY MAKE SURE YOU STRAP ON THE WII WRIST STRAP TIGHT OR ELSE YOU WILL BE BUYING ANOTHER TV.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Thegame Awesome game!!
I love this game i got it with the Wii system 3 weeks ago, and i love it. The only thing i wish that would work is when you get money on the game, i wish it would go straight to your bank account for real. How cool would that be.

This game is going to be much greater than the previous version. 2010 is going to be a breakout year for all sport games and everyone is going to have lots of fun with this.

TW PGA Tour 11 has given me a new outlook on the Wii. This game showed me what the Wii is capable of and that game creators can make games with great graphics and smooth gameplay; they just have to take the time to do so. I have the Wiimote with Wii Motion Plus built in and I'm loving it. I highly recommend playing with Wii Motion Plus. Even though it isn't necessary and gameplay will still be great without it, if you want very accurate gestures down to your slightest wrist movement then you definitely should get this accessory. For some reason the sound of the crowd is not as great as TW PGA Tour 07 to me. They cheer but not to the point where you feel the excitement of making an eagle. Plus the dual commentary is awesome but the commentators aren't as enthusiastic as they should be when you make a hole in one; they sound the same as if you made a birdie or par.I love how this game caters to beginners but I think the jump from "beginner" to "I kinda know what I'm doing" is too big. When you have the swing settings set to "All play", you can see the ball trajectory, where it will land, all that good stuff. But when you switch to standard all of that is taken away. You just have a circle giving you an estimate of where your ball should land. Now if that's standard, can you imagine expert? But don't let that prevent you from picking up this game. Features like playing with real weather make the game even better. There also is a party mode (mini golf, juggling, disk golf, etc.) which will let you get away from the more serious side of golf. Plus you can play disk golf as well as golf online which also runs very smooth and did I mention that friend codes are nonexistent? Yes all you have to do to find someone is search a keyword or their name and a list with your word(s) will show up. For example, type in IGN and a list of people with IGN in their name will show up. This is great because now it's way easier to make friends and find people. TW PGA Tour 11 will have you loving golf no matter what level player you are.
P.S. I haven't played the recommended game below, I just assume it's even better.

Anyone who has played Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf on the Nintendo Wii what a difference the Wii Remote interface makes. This is a wholly immersive experience. You feel like you are playing golf, not just a video game. For 2011, the experience has received some nice attention, without a complete makeover. First, let me say that the odd year curse seems to have been broken. 2007 was bug-ridden and not really ready for general release. 2009 offered the insanely unrealistic putting system used by other consoles that did not match the swing interface that the Wii provides. For 2011, EA has taken the approach of adding new swing options, while maintaining all the old settings. The first is Advanced Plus swing, which requires the golfer have a good swing arc and actually "hit" a virtual ball at the bottom of the downstroke. It is a much more realistic feeling swing, and can be just as frustrating. The Tour Pro swing takes away the standard yardage information, opting for yardage markers on the course that make you estimate your distance as you would in real golf. EA is trying to create a more natual golf interface with these new swings, and the learning curve is not easy. But it can be fulfilling and rewarding to golfers looking for a an outlet to play when a real trip to the golf course is not an option. Online play has been enhanced so that games can be set up with more specific settings. Also, the much hated "chip tracers" (taking repeated practice chips on the green) have been removed, along with Assisted Hole Outs (now an option, formerly a default setting), whereby the game can randomly give a player a great shot that they didn't actually swing. There is still no in game chat system, but this seems to be a decision by Nintendo, not EA, EA has also added a Ryder Cup option, where a player can be a member of a Ryder Cup team (hence the addition of Rory McElroy on the cover). Another new addition is the mini-golf game, which younger players should enjoy. Of course, Frisbee golf is still there. And a few bugs rear their ugly heads. Some courses (St. Andrews most notably) can have invisible barriers blocking the cup on certain greens (imagine the fun of hitting the par 5 green in two, only to have your putt repeatedly bounce away when it should drop in the cup). Phantom swings also occassionally pop up. This is when during a swing, the game loses track of the Motion Plus device and reverts to a Standard swing setting with unintended results. In short, if you love golf, buy this game, even if you have to buy a Wii. If you have a Wii and enjoy a realistic golf experience, buy this game. If you don't care about experiencing golf, but wouldn't mind a golf video game, get it on another platform, where the graphics and options are better.
