Alright, so I was so excited to get a Sims game on the Wii, and then I got it. I go home, pop it in, and start to play it. I was very irritated at the fact that it took me two hours to make my family because it took so long to load. I thought, "The gameplay better not be slow." Well, it was. I was also disappointed in the fact that you have to buy pre-made houses and you could not construct your own. Moving on, I got my family a house and everything was okay except it kept freezing, unfreezing, repeat. I wanted to throw my Wii at the wall. I thought that I must have had a defective disk, but my friend also had the game and said their game was acting just like mine. But alas, I kept playing it, believing that it would get better. Now, whenever I try to play it, after 5 minutes the whole game freezes and I have to unplug the whole Wii to get it off the screen. Long story short, I hated it, and don't buy it. Please.

The game is very fun, and entertaining. I ordered the pre-owned version, and tried to cancel the order because I read the reviews. When I finally got the game I realized that the people over-exaggerated to much. Are the glitches yes, are they as bad as they say they are no. The game freezes up once in a while, but it comes back in at most 8 seconds. The grinding noise of the Wii is so low that you can barely hear it. As far as I'm concerned this is a great game. The graphics are good, the sounds are good, and it's very addicting. The create-a-sim is very fun, and it lets you express your creativity. You don't get to create your own house, but you can create the rooms. I love how you get to run around the area, instead of having to wait for the game to load you there. I thought I wouldn't enjoy the lifetime wish option, because I used to not having any goals in the game, but it actually is a great addition. The karma powers are awesome and really fun to play with. The game in all is great. So please don't listen to the other reviews, and get the game you won't regret it.
Rated 3 out of 10 by maiandjinx Sort of Fun, but not anything like the real deal
If you've watched Let's Play on Youtube and don't actually own the Sims 3 for your computer, this is not the same thing. Yes there are some of the same things for both, but honestly I had this before I got the Sims 3 and it only really made me want the real deal. Also, it was a little weird at times when your Sim (in the Wii game) would be pregnant and go to the hospital to have her baby and a full-grown child would walk out with you. That just kind of freaked me out a little. On the whole, it didn't offer quite what I was looking for and I honestly much prefer playing the Sims 3 on my laptop as opposed to on the Wii. Because of the Wii have limited memory space there is only so much you can do in the Sims 3 Wii. So, to sum it up, the Sims 3 Wii was okay, but I'd much rather recommend the Sims 3 for PC/Mac computers as it can become much more involved especially with the expansion and stuff packs out there. My recommendation is that if you plan on buying the PC/Mac version of the game, wait until they're on sale so you get a great deal. The Sims 3 for the computer is so good that I honestly am up to 378 hours of playing it and I only got it a few months ago. Hope this helped.

The console version has its perks. Heres why: you don't point and click to run (which can get annoying on the PC version). You actually use the analog stick on the Nunchuck to walk/run (making it more realistic). There will be new careers AND you go to work with your Sims (you can be productive or slack off and get fired). The depth of character customization is the same but not for house building. The game will place what they call "shells" in the game. These are premade houses that fit the beach community they have developed. You are free to customize the inside of your home as you wish. You will be able to use Wifi to play online with friends or random people. There you may help people reach achievments, bully them to lower their happiness, or roleplay your character however you wish. You won't want to miss out on all the excitement and unpredictability, just get the game.
Rated 2 out of 10 by denniskiara WTF ..WHY.. Didnt the Creators Complete The Game
This game is not how its suppose to be, the two problems I have is my Wii makes this ridiculous loud buzzing noise only when I just play this game, and then the graphics sucks big time..... And you would love this game if you like everything to load up slowly, or enjoy walking into disappearing houses and buildings, or if you like seeing parked cars jammed all into each other looking a terrible mess, and if you stand in the streets or sidewalks talking to other Sims... then cars or people will walk right through you... and the multi-player mood is the exact opposite of what you expect it to be in every way, it just doesn't makes since and just boring... So hopefully a Sims 4 or updated version of The Sims 3 will be created very soon in the near future and doesnt take years to be released..... This is officially the worst Sims game ever... and i played em all!!!!!
Rated 1 out of 10 by Gamersean The worst game I have ever played...by far.
Look, I love and play all kinds of game (even lots of movie games), but this game, out of all the hundreds of games I have ever played, is the worst, most unfinished, pile of absolute crud that I have ever had the misfortune to pay $50 for (I know the price has lowered, but I bought it at release). Where to begin? The game lags and freezes constantly to almost unplayable levels, it makes your make abnormal sounds, non-stop glitches are abound, textures take years to load, and overall, it feel like EA got finished with 10% of the game and then just said, "Good enough, people will buy it!" and then shipped it with a full price tag. Is it worth the lowered price of $30? NO! Will it be worth $5 someday? Maybe...but just to see how bad it is. Do I have anything good to say about it? Well one thing: Walking around town as a hot female sim in your bikini...that was nice.
Rated 4 out of 10 by Millzie HORRIBLE
I was super excited to get this game cause I loved the PC version, but OH MAN!!!! It is HORRIFIC on Wii!!!! Do NOT waste your money on it. EA didn't try hardley at all with the Wii version of this game. I mean cause the PS3 version is still pretty good and so is the X-Box 360 version. But then here is the Wii. GEESH it is bad. You can't build any houses, it freezes ALL the time, your Wii makes a weird sound whenever you play it, the customization parts suck too!!!! You are very limited in what you can do. You get bored fairly quickly. I mean they make you name your babys before you know what gender it is!! H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!!! If you have to stick to a console Sims game, get one on a PS3 or X-Box 360. But if you have access to a computer, Sims 3 on PC is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be the greatest option.

I personally love this game. The bad comments are because they have PC, and it IS way better on PC. This sucks COMPARED to that, but this game is VERY addicting, TOTALLY fun, and you will not waste your time on it. Now, as my title says, if you are hesitating, here is a quick description of what The Sims 3: Wii Is about. The Sims 3 is an excellent well-detailed game. There are lots of hair, clothes, outfits, etc. to chose from. Yes, you can start a family and have kids, get married, and yes. I always get the same house, the one in the middle. You can only have a teen sim or younger if there is an adult, in the household though. (That's what disappoints us.) and you cannot get pets sadly enough. The limits are unleashed besides that. There is SO MANY PLACES!!! The neighbors are usually A Mom, An Elder, and a child. So yeh!

Rated 5 out of 10 by lemi It's not what I was expecting.
Alright, so I'm a huge fan of the Sims. I've been playing since the origional, and when I got a Wii for Christmas, the first game that came to mind was the Sims, because I wasn't sure my computer could handle it. HOLY DISAPPOINTMENT. I felt like we back-tracked to the origional Sims. Create A Sim is really... bland. The faces are completely different, and all of the selectables look exactly the same for the most part. Gameplay is extremely glitchy. There's a few seconds of pause every time your sim goes to cook/eat, change clothes, or generally do anything that takes a bit of processing. I highly suggest buying it for the PC rather than the Wii. I have a brand new Console and paid $50 for the game, only to have to wait for the glitches to sort themselves out every ten seconds. It's over-rated and over priced.
