Extremely repetitive
Very stupid there are basically no good abilities in the whole game but the you can be the villains part is new but stupid. All spider-mans web abilities are boring all he has is web line, web stun and web shoot. You are pretty much running around beating the tar out of these terrible looking phantoms the whole boring game. Don't buy unless you like 7 year-old games.

Good game for a party and a timekiller. AKA GOOD
This game was not meant to be a game like the movies or a gritty story like the other games. It is trying to get little kids or casual gamers to play a good game for a party and just to hang out. Even though they took a cartoon approach to it, I liked the game as its story was good, The gameplay was deep enough to enjoy and not just button mash. The graphics look better as a cartoon than the more realistic approach to the spider man movie games. The sound was forgettable and that was my only concern. The lasting appeal is great as i have beat it 6 times. It is easy as it should be for kids. A great beat em up or just a game for kids. 10/10

Spiderman
So good I played it over and over I love this game and I love Spiderman! I also played this on my DS a long time ago.

Good game
i have no idea what all the other reviews mean we they say "it looks like all you do is drive cars around" well that's ture it's a good game but easy i beat this game 100% by myself the boss battles are only "hard" this in the game overall great game.

Like previous games?
I think this game is gonna be similiar to Ultimate aliance and that aint a bad thing. Aliance was a good game it was challenging enough and the characters had cool moves. Some of them were the same though just with a different name. Hopefuly they can change that in this game and work on the graphics(alot)

Don't judge a game untiil you've played
This new spiderman game is not simular to the previous two major spiderman games, insted this is a "beat em' up" style game. What no one seems to understand or admire is that this is more based on the classic spiderman comics than any movie. You will team up with alot more then just villians there are alot of characters both good and bad that you will be able to fight with. As you perform combos you will also acquire points to use on unlockable features and new upgrades for your characters (something that really should be mentioned above. This game may be targeting a younger audience but to give you a hint at some of the action, one of the basic combos in this game is to web-grab a bad guy then swing them into Venom's Symbiote spikes. That seems a little ruthless.

Bad idea
You think there is more thought put into this game than previous Spider-man games? Are you serious? It looks like the idea for this game came out of a desperate attempt to save someone's job. It isn't free roaming like other Spider-man games, it's simply a linear beat-em-up with average graphics and one of the most ridiculous concepts ever thought up. I mean, come on, enemies join Spider-man after he defeats them. I suppose it's because he is so charismatic huh? I think I'll just pretend that this game never existed and hope that Activision somehow resurrects the franchise.

There isn't too much info about this but i think it should be a good game. The last couple games were movie titles so they had to be created quickly, so i think that this has more thought given to it.

yea ummm
i looked at everything online and this game is meant for kids- the interview lady said that they couldnt get to kids with the other titles because of the "T" rating- u have to beat ur enemies to get them on ur side and then u fight a worldwide threat- i dont have any clue what the cars are about
