It's a fight to the finish as you compete at amazing speeds, racing as your favorite Speed Racer characters. Perform tricks and pull off insane stunts through incredible, twisting stadium tracks, all while fighting against rival racers with incredible Car-Fu action!

Players will be able to take on the role of the characters from the film, getting behind the wheels of each character's signature vehicles to experience firsthand the film's high adrenaline, combative racing style. The car-fu style of action within the game will closely represent the action style being designed by the Wachowski brothers for the film itself as they lend direction and assets to the development team directly from their Berlin set. John Gaeta, a long time Wachowski collaborator and Co-VFX Supervisor on the Speed Racer film, is working with Sidhe and WBIE to assist in maintaining a close film-to-game aesthetic connection.

This game is perfect for: kid gamers

this game is amazing because you can hit people and have them blow up. It is a neat game also b/c you go up to 500 mph. This game is fun for kid gamers and i think anyone who thinks speed racer is awesome

Speed Racer is not a great game. It's basically a bunch of people going around and killing other people with cars. NOT FUN. The instructions don't tell you how to do any of the stunts so I never really got to enjoy it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

this game is amazing and is fun but when you get to the big championships and class 2 it gets a little hard and the disc is scratched but thats not a major problem (for you). this game is amazing and they really like and they really did good with people you can have an ally with somebody.

Glitch

This was way more fun than I had anticipated. I borrowed it from a friend and am purchasing it from Gamestop right now. The game uses the wii remote in a way no other non-nintendo game has. Remember when you used to play racing games on the NES? I would twist and turn the game pad this way and that, or jerk it one direction or another. Well, that is how you play Speed Racer. Jerk left and you knock the guy to your left off the track. Jerk the wiimote up and you jump. It sounds simple and you may think "duh" but it feels more natural than any other game I have played for the wii, aside from nintendo makes that is. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes mario kart. I wouldn't say it is better or worse that mario kart. I would just say that it is another great racing game. If there is a flaw in the game, it is it's lack of customization. The game has everything preset for you when it comes to cars and characters. But there are enough of those to unlock that it is a small issue.

I'm a huge fan of Speed Racer, the cartoon, and I love a good racing game. Still I was very worried about purchasing this title. The reason being is that I've owned a Wii since they hit the market, and until Mario Kart Wii, no one has been able to design a decent racer for the system. They have all had major control problems and they were not able to deliver the feel of speed that other systems have. I do not know what the developers did with this game, but they were able to overcome those issues and deliver, hitting all cylinders. This game controls perfect and the feeling of all out speed is great. You can either use the Wiimote or the Wii wheel that came out with Mario Kart. Both work flawlessly but I highly recommend the Wii wheel, it adds a lot of fun to the experience. The character roster is huge and while there is very little vehicle customization, each character's vehicle brings different strengths to the race. You are even able to create alliances with other racers that assist you during races, helping to defeat your rivals. This is a great racing game with depth and enough skill needed to win, which makes it addicting. This is not your typical movie based game here. They went out of their way to craft a great racing game that I would say is a blend of wipeout with some burnout thrown in. With three classes of racing, stunt mode, and a battle mode you'll be playing this one for a while. GREAT FUN!

Great Racing Game!!

For all of you waiting for a fast, fun, sleek racing game specifically for the Wii- here it is! Not available on the other systems- the Wachoski Brothers who are active gamers- have set their sights on a super Wii offering, Movie tickets included with the disk. Fast races, easy to learn controls especially with the Wii Wheel, entertaining side story lines, lots of ways to jump-flip-knockout the competition. Or just drive fast and furious- you make the choice. Unlock lots of stuff. Character voices are not annoying- graphics are excellent- music is catchy- fun fun fun for all. Thanks to the creators- we've been waiting
