Boring and has a formula-feeling
This is the only Soul Calibur game I have ever played and boy it was lacking. It wasn't bad, per say, but it wasn't good either. The game tries to spew plot at you but it just doesn't stick. My biggest problem with this game is the very annoying and repetitive layout. The mission trail style got old really quickly; I liked them in old RTS games (but then the missions were more fun). It just felt like a long to-do list--one that's out of order! I felt like I was hopping from location to location with little explanation of why. In addition, most of the areas are reused for different objectives. I seem to remember going back to each place at least two or three times (with the same music each time--the music loops a lot in this game). Be prepared for this game to feel like a math formula; you'll find "x" after the third mission (meaning you'll get the hang of it)--then you'll wish you never found "x" in the first place! The good stuff: the special moves were entertaining and the variety in characters lessened (a little) the mundane aspect that is so prominent in this game. On the topic of characters, a few were actually interesting and somewhat dynamic. The controls were actually decent; this is definitely a game that makes use of the Wii controls. But the lackluster layout of the game destroys what little good qualities this game has. I don't think I'd recommend this game to anyone.

Just needs some improvement on waving the remote.
This game is good for a first 3rd person soul calibur game. They should've put some more work into the gameplay. But everything else was good about this game.

Too much waving of the remote.
Ok. overall its a decent game but it is too repetetive. All you do is whack hack with your remote and you beat everything that way and your arm gets tired from it then all the enemies and even the bosses are repeated several times over which gets really boring after five minutes and the story line is relatively short. So if you like games that are repetetive then this game is for you, but if your like me you don't and i would not recommend this game to anyone.

bad control and annoying sounds make this bad
this could have been fun if it controlled better, but you'll find yourself repeating the same combos and end up with a sore arm. this is a game to be avoided

This is not Soul Calibur.
I will have to say, that this game is slightly fun. The main problem is, this is not Soul Calibur. The story line is even barely the same. This is more of a search around game and not a side to side fighting game. You basically walk around and kill whatever, and after a while, the levels seem to get very repetitive. If you want Soul Calibur, don't get this game. If you wanna play this game when you're bored and have nothing else to do, then this is a fine game to get especially at its price.

Namco, you have disappointed me.
Words can not be expressed as to how much this game sucks. My feelings were crushed as I started playing. What were the Namco creators using while making this game? I was throughly upset with the mash-up of the enemies, and the poor design and plot of the story. Namco, you can do better than this.

amazing
I will say I am a legit Soul Calibur fan! Soul Calibur 3 is still the best game in the series! I was excited when this gmae was annouced for the Wii. I shortly got it after. Its still one of myy favorite Wii games of all time (behine Mario Kart Wii). It has great gameplay, and as it may be challenging at times with lots of enimies the story is amazing, the gameplay is amazing and it has good grphics for a wii game

Horrible
okay I have to shorten this becasue for some reason the review filter isn't accepting what i had. Please be warned this game only looks visually appealing but the game play of player vs computer is extremely unbalanced. the game play is also full of lag, no matter how fast you can move the remote your character still doesnt' respond properly nor does it respond timely there is a time delay that sometimes proves to be fatal. This game steals some of the best parts from Mortal Kombat and Devil May Cry - two well respected games that have been proved over time - MK especially- to be classics and greatest hits. Sad part is this game host potential but it got wasted. 3 out of 10 stars

Intresting.
This was a very intresting game. When I heard of this, it immediately caught my attention, and I thought it was a good game. The challenge of this game is pretty good, sometimes you'll just be overwhelmed with enemies, but you still slaughter them. The interface was pretty good. I thought the special moves in the game were just awsome. Seigfrieds special deffinately stand out. The unlockable weapons were cool, but very time consuming to get. The character balance was ok, I was hoping for more characters, but oh well. The graphics and animation were good for the Wii. The sound is good. The storyline was pretty intresting, I love how in the end, you "assistant" just backstabs you and becomes this overwhelming powerful enemy. Overall, I enjoyed this game, but it could use some touch ups.
