Sonic and the Secret Rings
AWESOME AND AMAZING!
this game is so fun the controls are good and the gameplay i dont see what people are mad about this game is the best sonic game of 2007!
One of the most underrated sonic games ever.
Sonic and the secret rings is a great game and one of my favoriote games on the wii. the story is great, the controlles are great, the graphics are some of the best that i have seen on the wii so far. sadly, most people refused to play this game because of all of the glitches and problems sonic 06 had. but this game is amazing, it's soundtrack is great, and the graphics are so good that you could mistake it for an HD game. it also has a party mode which is almost like mario party but with sonic characters, it's like sonic shuffle all over again, only this time it was actuly fun. you get over 40 minigames up to 4 players can enjoy. the only problem with this game is the camera, everytime you homing attack an enemy the camera goes crazy for a second, but this does not affect the gameplay. this game is on rails which means you steer sonic by tilting the wii remote left and right, but he does not stop unless you hold the 1 button. sadly this game only works with the wii remote sideways, no nunchuck, and no classic controler/gamecube controler. this is not much of a problem, and it actuly is very fun playing with the wii remote sideways. the stages are realy fast and fun. my final point is that if you have not played this game, or refused to play it because you are afraid that it is a glitchy game like sonic 06 should give it a try, you will be surprized.
A new kind of Sonic.
This game was awful but had little good. The story line was just a buzz kill I mean "Chapters"?Usally Sonic game show 3D cut scenes but in this 2D the story line was choppy and when it comes to the other chracters you will only be seeing them for as little as 2 chapters. The game controls can be fun and frustrating at the same time going backwards is a chore and theres so many missions your head will explode! Also you have to do some to follow the story. The graphics were nice for the wii.Sound was great the music was superb also.SEGA tried making Sonic fit for the wii but they fail if you are looking for a Sonic game then keep searching.
not a great sonic game
this game is not good or bad. its just average, which i guess for a sonic game is pretty good. i did not like the wii remote held sideways thing at all! and sonic talks so much about his speed in this game when actually his speed isn't to hot. i am not a big fan of the story book series but i wouldn't complain if it went on past sonic and the black night. the game overall is a huge disappointment even to diehard sonic fans like me. the back flip thin pisses me off to no end! sonic games are about blasting through lush green fields and spinning around loops but sonic and the secret rings offers none of that, it's mostly sliding around corners and doing back flips to step on a control pad that activates a sealed door. sonic's attitude definitely makes an appearance in this game though which has been missing for years. unfortunately it is overshadowed by his love and compassion for his genie who will never stop crying about how sorry she is for summoning him to her world. final verdict:sonic fans will enjoy the game somewhat but i don't recommend buying it.
Horrible Sonic Game
I've grown up with Sonic for years. I used to play him when I was little and have him chase and collect rings. Sure, some things never change, however a lot of things do. First off....the storyline: It's a bit obvious and boring. The dialogue isn't that great, and again, it's pretty obvious. It's also extremely cheesy. I don't really care about the story line to a game as long as the game is fun, though. Moving on to the gameplay and experience. At first, it's alright. It's not too bad. However, every single time you finish a mission, you return to the main game menu. This gets annoying after about three very short missions. It would be much better if they made the automatic transition like most games do. Also, the gameplay itself is repetetive. I was on a mission, and I kept failing. At the beinning of the mission, a girl's voice tells you how to do a move. Then, when you try it again, she repeats how to do the move. It gets really annoying after about ten tries. All in all, I was very disappointed with this game. It should have esier transitions and, overall, be a lot less repetetive.
This game is awesome!!
First of all the story is pretty bad i mean one book out of all the arabian nights books all the characters come alive pretty dumb the gameplay is great and you only have short levels but there are so many levels that it makes up for it overall good gameplay the graphics are great the best on wii well 2nd best behind sonic and the black knight but great the sound is good but annyoing like when your doing a level and the rock music comes on w/ vocals its annoying the voice acting is good but annoying the sound effects are basic but sharas voice is horrible you might as well kill yourself than listen to her and everyone always says random stuff during each level annoying the game is great overall it is the game sega needs to pull sonic from out under the covers and just great i reccomend you buy this now! 10 out of10 perfect.
Not the best sonic game
I have had this game since around it came out but havn't played it in months. It's not as good as other sonic games like sonic adventure battle 2 for the gamecube. First the storyline isn't that great because it seems like its made for 6 year olds with the voices and stuff they say. The controls aren't very good either you tilt the remote forward to run press 2 to jump and then you do the homing attack by pushing the remote forward hard. But your always going so if you run into something you have to tilt the remote backwards then you start moving forward as you as you stop tilting back. It doesn't seem like very free movement the way the camera is since your always moving forward then when there's a big turn it takes over for you. Alot of the levels is being taken over by the game like a cutscene but then you suddenly are controlling it yourself. I think there are less than 10 levels each made up of lots of missions so It's not like I game you will finish in 3 days. There is also a 4 player party game mode but thats the only multiplayer mode on the game. So this is an ok game but maybe better for younger kids
A Swing and a Miss...
Sonic's first appearance on the wii is a startling one. First off the control scheme is pretty lame and can piss you of in 3.5 seconds or the first 12 times you miss an enemy with a HOMING attack. Secondly the story line and it's cutscenes' lameness are a shame among Sega's beloved franchise. On a positive note, this game actually has some fun ( once you get used to the controls and glitches) in it. With loads of unlockables and a seemingly enjoyable multiplayer mode, this game will give you hours of frustration from the inability to conquer one single challenge, laughs due to funny ways of dying in front of friends, and sadness from the disappointing lack of the true platforming and adventuristic style of Sonic's previous games. This game is still kinda good, try it out for yourself just take a break in between every mission or you may either break your wii remote or someone's face out of anger.
WARNING: Terrible Game!
If Sonic the Hedgehog games were all ranched on a farm, this would be the black sheep fo the bunch. It just doesn't work. The length is somewhat dissapointing. I mean um... really dissapointing. I beat the game's main story, defeating Erazor, in about 5 hours. That's the problem with the Sonic Storybook series. It's too freaking short. The sound has two problems. 1, it has LYRICS. I'm not saying that Sonic Adventure 2's music is bad. It's because it has lyrics that have nothing to do with the stage. I pretty much just answered problem number 2 with problem number 1. The storyline is mediocre at best. It just doesn't work. But it isn't so bad that I would prefer Sonic and the Black Knight over this. I don't like either of these games. The controls miss the mark. The controls, like the game, don't work. In Black Knight, they actually switched to the Wiimote-Nunchuk style. If you take Sonic and throw in a bad concept, like the Alladin story, and you've got a terrible game right there. 3/10. Please, just let the Sonic Storybook series go. The Sonic Franchise was on life-support before this.
The Blue Blur is back, baby!!!
Sonic and the Secret Rings is going to be off the chain! It's like the old Sonic games, but with better gameplay and graphics! You get to use Wildfire mode too, which means you just burst through the stage 'til it runs out! It looks simple to play too! All you have to do is turn right or left by moving the remote! I'm huge Sonic fan, so no matter what, I love Sonic and his friends till' the end!
