  • Survival of the fittest! - Find out who the troublemakers and the good guys are, and make sure they all get along ... or not! Rated 4 out of 5 by from i love simanimals! I just bought this game today and I was looking at other peoples reviews on it. Everyone didn't seem to like it so much. Well I played it for 4 hours then went to dinner. I have always been the person waiting on sims games. So when I saw this at game stop today for my wii i had to get it! I am a 23 yr old girl who loves simulation games. I thought this game was easy with the controls (if u do the tutorial), the sound was fine. And graphics well its a wii blame that on the makers or get a different console! It looks very realistic from other games I have bought for the wii. The water moves like water ;) and the animals are as good as it can get I think. Its not slow at all if u take care of all the plants and put stuff in ur inventory. Then go back to the animals and keep trading off. You make it a fast game if you know what your doing. Go back and forth from different forest's and plant different plants, and transfering animals/plants there. I also saw in previous reviews that people said that there are "no sims" well if you have played sims enough then you know its simulation and thats why its called "sims" which means TAKING CARE OF WHATS NEEDED. Like simcity there where no people to take care of there ither just a city. I love this game and i dont think its just for children. If you know what your doing and your a true sim person then you wil enjoy it too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hmm not what you would think Sim Animals is like your god of all these types of animas (bear mice squirrels etc) You're main adjective is to take care of their environment they live in and take care of them it seemed so exciting.. im such big animal lover... its cute but within a hour your bored, there is no sims in there btw.. which i knew there wasn't and the controls are tidbit difficult to maneuver. i think little girls would get kick out of this game. if you like slow paced and not a lot of interaction once you finished the small objectives then this game is for you. its slow paced like fish tycoon =) if you animal lover i would try like animal crossing or something :) those neighbors are animals they talk in animals its cute game you might like it. but this game isnt too bad i think kids would like it or if you like slow paced games with not a lot interaction then you may like it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Its not the same SimAnimals is not the same as you might think. When I was waiting for this game to come out, I was really excited because I love animals and the other Sims games. But when I got it, it was not like where you go around anywhere and just watch what all the animals do and you get to do what you want. I thought it was way more creative but no, you have to unlock the animals and plants first. The medal where easy to get but I just wished it was more openminded and adventurous. The controls where hard to get used to and you couldn't get around fast. The interface was ok but not very unique. The sound wa probably the best because it was clear and you could sort of hear sound. Graphics weren't very good but I think thats just cause it's the wii, not the xbox 360. Realism was bad cause it seemed to glitch and if you observed animals, gave them food, and pet them, it wasn't close to being real. I gave it an overall 3 because of just how much I liked it, which wasn't much. This isn't the animal game I saw on T.V. or looked at on the computer. I'm just telling you, if you don't like a game with bad graphics, not much of wandering, or just hate taking care of plants and animals all the time, then DON'T get this game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It isn't what it seems I was very excited about Sim Animals since I am a Sims junkie(I own all the Sims 2 games and their console counterparts)so buying this game was a no brainer for me.I had hoped this would be an updated version of the terrific PC game SimPark...but I was wrong about that. Sim Animals lets you interact with over 60 different animals, everything from bears to squirrels to various bird species. There aren't any people(or Sims,if you will) in this game.It is all about you and your interactions with the animals. The goals for each stage are easily met,but not very challenging. Some of the goals are to make friends with an animal(feeding it,petting it and playing with it)or to plant a series of trees. The game is immensely appealing(visually) but it falls short in several areas. The stages are small, the goals are too easily met and the controls can be wonky and difficult. There isn't any sandbox mode either, which is one of the things that makes the Sims series great. I like this game but I have to admit I was a bit dissappointed because it being a Sims franchise and all I guess I expected more.If you like animals and a slow, leisurely game is your idea of fun, than I would definately pick this one.Otherwise, pass it up.
