dissapointed
I generaly like games of this type but this ones combat system was just weak when I got it I was hopeing for more but the storyline did not realy feel all that special and the graphics and play style felt like a old snes tile only slower with clumsy controls I would not recommend this game also with the battle system set up like a bad random spawn system from a final fantasy game and poorly done book style opening sequince that just doesn't impress upon the person any importance or sence of urgency fore finding the mansion or even a reason to go there as well as the fact that you have no money to start out with where as most rpg's at least give you some to start as well as equipment the tutorial is have way descent if you don't mind waiting until you have you're first battle for it to start

A Jewel Among Wii rpgs
This is one of those games that are easily overlooked. Usually, when people, look for rpg games with the best graphics or games that are hyped up like final fantasy. However Shiren the wanderer is an unique rpg that captivates you through it's fun interface and intriguing story. I only played a couple of hours in but I love the characters and even the battles are addicting and fun. It's interesting to see a rpg go back to the roots, when it's not about voice-acting or graphics but the rpg gamer getting emerged into the gameplay through well-thought out, funny, and realistic dialogue. Even though, the main character is strictly one of those silent heroes, your still able to appreciate his character especially his friendship with his cute talking ferret. One of the best aspects of this game is you can use the classic controller to control the characters, which makes this feel like one of those old-school rpgs for the generation that enjoyed games with meaningful dialogue and colorful characters. The battles are fun, the storyline is interesting, and the gameplay is so addicting, that's hard to step away from the game. I even love the bosses, you find their dialogue as interesting as their appearance. Even though, I'm just beginning this game, it's amazing and I can't wait to get more into the story. If your rpg fan that's waiting for good rpg to play on the Wii; this is definitely a game that you should add to your collection. You won't regret it.

This game will rock!
I'm a huge Shiren fan and even played the Japanese import of this game so I know first hand how great it is! While I didn't like how they made it a lot more like Pokemon's Mystery Dungeon than the original Shiren DS, the boss battles and cinematics are pretty cool. My personal favorite are the several post story dungeons that are unlocked after you complete the main storyline, they've got some INSANELY challenging stuff to play around in at that point!

New Mysteries to Explore...
Mystery Dungeon games tend to have a distinct fan base. If you don't like Mystery Dungeon (aka roguelike) games, you probably aren't going to like this. However, if you are like me, and love the style of play, you are probably really looking forward to this. One of the best features I've seen about this game is that you don't loose your levels when you die. This is a big deal, as the previous Shiren the Wanderer game on the DS stripped you of all of you money, items, and levels when you died. That's right, you were back to level 1! Keeping your levels, even if you don't go for the even easier version which lets you keep your items and money, is a huge changes and will help make the play more satisfying, similar to the Chocobo's dungeon or Izuna games. On top of that, the story and setting looks extremely interesting, which tend to be what helps make a Mystery Dungeon game the most enjoyable, as the game play changes very little from game to game. I am really looking forward to this, and I really hope it does well so we can see more Mystery Dungeon and roguelike games on the Wii.

A simple Preview
From the video preview I've seen, it looks a little like Chocobo's Dungeon in a way, but it looks more advanced in both the gameplay and the graphics. It could be a game worth buying. Until that time comes, I can only hope. If you enjoyed Chocobo's Dungeon, then you might enjoy this game, and I suggest you play chocobo's dungeon if you haven't, it is highly addictive.
