This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

The controls are strange since forward on the control stick is always the character's forward. Which means the character could be walking down, up, right or left depending on which way they're facing. Which is VERY counter intuitive. Also to save your game you need to find two items. Not just a save point, in this case a typewriter, but you also need to find ink for it. There's a good game in there somewhere and if you can get past the controls you'll find it, I couldn't get past the weird controls.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

This is basically the original Resident Evil game but remastered with new storylines, character concepts, and rooms about the mansion! I think the graphics are amazing for the Nintendo Wii console! The only disadvantage I found in the game is that Chris has less inventory slots than Jill... But gamers can easily work around that! This is a super awesome game and I reccomend it to people who love zombies, action, and horror type games!

This is the best resident evil I have ever played,and it is a great survival horror game,because it is challenging and the bosses are fun to kill.my favorite is the lisa trevor because you fight her more than once,and the way she dies.

RE was the first surviver horror game and it is still as hard today as years before on the PS1. The game is NOT like the newer RE games (4-5) so if your used to them, this is not the game for you, unliess you want to play the game the way it was first made to be. It has better Grapicks then the first remake on the Gamecube, and uses the same camera from the first 4 RE games (1,2,3,zero, and code Veronica). The Tank controls might be hard to handle for most, but hardcore fans well welcome the old school controls. The haveinfg to find ink ribbins to save is a little dated, but is a remake, so some things should stay the same.I Recommend it for other hardcore RE fans, and to people uses to the new RE's and really want a to learn how the RE games got started.

the opposite of the guy who hates this game.

Believe me, this game is one of the most EPIC games you will ever, ever, EVER play in your entire lifetime. Well, other than MW2. Anyways, this game can be spine numbingly terrifying if you play it in a dark room without the lights on, and when your house makes random noises. If your into the Resident Evil franchise this is a MUST for all players. After all, it was the first. This game takes you through the Spencer Mansion, somewhere near Raccoon City, AKA Umbrella HQ. At first the game is a bit hard, of course, since you can start with Chris who has a knife, or Jill who has a handgun AND a knife. There are lots of twists, puzzles and zombies. Lots and lots of em. Not as many as L4D but still a lot of em. If your one of the people that started playing RE:4 then you have to play this one. Yea its got crappy camera angles. Oh well. Still a better game than RE:4 was in my opinion. That one changed the whole way of playing it, yes, its fun, but this one, this is the better one. Resident Evil 2 is completely the best one though.

He's after STARS members

First i'd like to say if you have only played the 4/5 versions in this series, dont' play this game. This is not the "let me shoot the hell out of every zombie i see and pick up everything i can" kind of game. These games (the originals) are about thinking first shooting second. With that out of the way, I loved the new things in this verson (i never played the gamecube one) so for me it was satisfying in all new ways, but it brought me back to a time where survival horror was about surviving and not shooting everything that walks. I love the Resident Evil series (except the failed attempts at multi-player aka outbreak files) Too bad RE 2 hasn't had this kind of remake yet. Other thank that, it feels like the gamecube kind of feel to it (graphics wise). In other words those who played the originals will love this those who only playe the RE4/5 won't.

Ummmmmm.......

This Resident Evil game scared me so much when i use to play it for the PlayStation and back then they were all polygonal looking things, but this re-make brings fear again. Something about the mansion and zombies and this game bringing all in awesome graphics and challenging puzzles. Although this game has no merchant or weapons store it only adds more to the excitement of survival horror because you can really put yourself in their situation and give you a real scare. Zombies even thought they are slow still bring a scary feeling of being trapped in the mansion and uugghhh some eerie feeeling If you want to see where it all began, you'll definitely will want to get this game, and probably would want someone to stay with you while you play it at night. Controls do take a bit getting used to but other than that this game is a 10 in my book!

This is a remake of the original Resident Evil and its better than ever! new monsters a slightly different story stunning visuals and that atmosphere that screams horror this is what RE is all about Survival Horror the game that coined the term that later became a massive genre for all the new RE fans who played 4/5 you owe it to your self to check this out this is where it all started unlike 4/5 this game is about inventory management and strategy you can blast your way through all willy nilly like 5 it takes skill and reserve and you spend most of your time alone solving puzzles and trying to escape the horrors of this unholy mansion the enemies are tough puzzles are extensive and surroundings are creepy if you love horror/a challenge./ and classics this is the game for you
