This is the first resident evil game to feature the over the shoulder camera. This is also the first resident evil game to not have zombies in it. The story follows Leon Kennedy in his quest to find the presidents missing daughter. Game play was amazing for its time and has been copied in newer games such as (Dead Space 1 and 2). The controls are tight and the enemy a.i. will present a challenge to most gamers. The sound helps set the mood for the game, when you hear a groan from a nearby room you know trouble is just around the corner. The graphic were some of the best when it debuted on the game cube. The end of the game is amazing with an optionally replay feature allowing you to keep all of your current guns for a new and much easier run through the game. This was my first game in the resident evil series, since then I have played through most of the classic titles and currently I'm working on the newer titles. This series is a must have for any fan of tense game play with a knack for shooting zombies.
Rated 10 out of 10 by santiagochic Awesome game for the Wii!!
Im a scardy cat, so it was really hard for me to play this game at first. The first zombie scared the bajeebers outta me. The controls are actually easier to use on the Wii than the PS2 and you actually feel like a part of the game. Its great. Its the first time I play a Resident Evil game so when I played the other ones on the PS2 I was surprised at the total upgrade. The graphics are 10 times better than lets say the second Resident Evil game. It also has a great plot and I love the extra missions you have after you finish the game the first time. You also get to unlock awesome weapons like the Chicago Typewriter (no refills!!) and the unlimited missle is great too. I promise you'll never get tired of the game because once you play it once you'll say to yourself "Man that game was awesome! I should gor for it again." Its a good challenge but nothing youll be too stuck in. Should be great for some hardcore gamers except hardcore gamers might want a little more but they can still enjoy themselves with this game.
Rated 10 out of 10 by RE is awesome You must buy this game!!!!!!!!
This is a spectacular game for anyone who enjoys M games or blowing the brains out of a zombie's head. This is a game that will make your hairs on the back of your neck stand up. When i got this game i wasn't much of a fan of the RE series or any survival horror games in that matter but now I am. But as soon as you pop this game in your wii within 2 minutes you'll be trying to blowing there brains out. The controls are hard to learn in the first minute but after minutes you'll be blowing everyones brains out. The graphics are great for the wii and the village in the beginning of the game is top notch in the erie factor. The challenge is pretty good I gave it a 10 because of how many zombies there are in a group (i was going to give it a 9 but the chainsaw guys made me give it a ten) (also make sure you have a lot of shotgun shells when facing the chainsaw guys). All in all if you like killing zombies, gore,or just like erie games this is the game for you.

Games on the wii really have started to improve for shooter fans like myself. Resident Evil 4 is so good I would recommend it by far over resident evil 5. This game is so long you won't even believe how many hours I put into it. Now the controls make it seem like your holding a gun and shooting at real live infected zombies. The graphics were so good I almost had to cry thats how good they were. The sound is great and it seems like you are in an infected death trap full of zombies. The challenge is great but sometimes it can be harder than expected. Now ever since the 1980's when I started gaming I have never seen something this good. You can aim at which part of the body you wish to shoot at due to the fact you can hold the wii remote as a gun. Lots of this game struck me dead as I saw the amazing graphics, sweet smooth gameplay, awesome story, and the great challenge. You can't go wrong with resident evil 4 not one bit. I highly recommend it to all gamers including the non resident evil gamers. You will love this game I swear.

This is without a doubt one of the best video games i have ever played! The graphics are beautiful, the storyline is flawless and boss battles are amazing. This games has lots of weapons to choose from that give you a better chance of blasting those bad guys without getting hurt and this game also gives you chills. When you play this game you will be scared to turn a around a corner because you will fear zombies will come out and kill you. The storyline is also very good, it is one of those story lines that make you care if a character dies or not. This game also has lots of puzzle solving because after all resident evil is a puzzle/action game. Some of these puzzles are very hard but most will only keep you searching for answers for about ten minutes or so. The boss battles which are my most favourite part of this game will keep you in suspense and you will actually feel a sense of accomplishment when you win. You can not call your self a gamer until you have played this game, believe me it is one of the best video games ever.

I really like this game.It is a really long game. It took me 6 months to bean AND IM AN AVERAGE GAMER.If you are a gamer below basic YOU WILL NEVER BEAT THIS!! It is really scary and challenging and long. There has to be at LEAST 60 LEVELS there are 4 levels in each chapter and there are about 20 chapters.Once,I got stuck on one boss battle for 3 months.Thats why it took me so long to beat it.In this game you ARE ALWAYS BEING ATTACKED NO MATTER WHAT!If you have played any other RE games besides RE5 it is alot harder and longer. The controls are SO STUPID.You push the B trigger to aim and then you have to push A while holding B.This is not a FPS (first person shooter) it is a is a TPS (third person shooter). You play as Leon Kennedy in the game you get sent by the president to save the presidents daughter,a religious group called the Los Alamos capture her.She was last seen leaving her colledge I would LOVE to share more with you but i am running out of room to type.I would recommend this game to people who like games like,Halo,Call of Duty, and so on

Before you read this review, keep in mind, this game was originally released for the gamecube. If its your first time playing, you would be surprised. The graphics in this game blew me away, its the same exact graphics from the gamecube version. What makes the wii version different is that there are a few extra modes you can play. The controls with a wiimote and nunchucks are much more satisfying that that of a gamecube controller. It still feels weird compared to other third person shooters, but after getting used to it, you will have a great expirience. Your looking at a 20+ hour game. There is a lot of replay value and extras. And beware, resident evil 4 WILL SCARE YOU. There is a lot of crazy stuff in this game, i almost felt like returning it. But trust me, just face your fears, and you will come through. I would recomend this game to any hardcore gamer. To anyone who buys this game: "Good luck, ur gonna need it."

i played this game and resedint evil darkside chronicles at my friends house and i was addicted to it i loved the story behinde leon the only flaw that i saw in this game was how the people that yo ight arnt zombies they are intelegent mutants by a more advanced virus and they know how to use weapons wich kind of takes away from the whole zombie that tackles you and bites your neck you know the old fashion zombies the only way i think that capcom could make this gmes as much more epic as it is multipayer now im not talking like online co-op im talking team death match with 3 teams trying to survive the team of main characters the umbrella company and the zombies of every type of virus in the series just some brain storming i have done for the past couple of weeks so if your looking for a good zombie game and your new to resedint evil try this game butwatch out for the chainsaw zombies yeah i said chainsaw zombies
Rated 10 out of 10 by dav1118 my favorite in the series
first i would like to say in response to the previous comment, this game does not actually fall into the shooter genera. no, it would be classified as a horror or adventure title. if you want to play a shooter, try black ops or reach, like everyone else seems to be doing right now. and as for the characters inability to move and shoot at the same time, this is how all resident evil games have been so far. perhaps it is to add to the suspense, knowing you have only one shot before the enemy is upon you, so you had better make it count. these controls are very different from your pc, so it might take some practice to get used to them, but that doesn't make them bad, i personally prefer these controls to the old game cube ones. well, this is my favorite in the series, and i have played nearly the entire series so far, just need to get nemesis, wich i hear good things about, so who knows.. bla bla bla end rant
