Product Details:

The famed boxing franchise Ready 2 Rumble returns in 2009 when Atari launches Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution. Whilst maintaining all the humorous caricatures and fun boxing action that made the original Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round1 and Round2 (Midway) such knock-out best-sellers, the new digitally sophisticated and visually stunning motion-controlled Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution for Wii brings a new level of style and attitude to the boxing ring and continues the franchise with a host of hard-hitting enhancements.

PRODUCT FEATURES:

  • Intuitive gameplay - Using the Nunchuk controller as one glove and the Remote controller as the other, players dodge, weave and punch their opponents. The controller's speaker and rumble device provide sensory feedback
  • 20 Wildly Caricatured Boxers - A new roster of caricatured boxers presents parodies of celebrities from the world of sports, music and movies. Highlights include the caricature of Michael Buffer, "The Voice of Champions”, and his famous "Let's Get Ready to Rumble®" trademark call. Each character is brought to life through hilarious over-the-top moves, improved facial animations and damage textures
  • Special Moves - Tons of outrageous special moves, combos and extreme knockdowns enhance the fighting experience while "Rumble"-Combos enable players to pull off moves from Kung Fu, Wrestling and other martial arts
  • Championship Mode - This all new championship mode allows players to create their own boxer and nurture his skills through mini-games developing him as a fighter
  • Single-Player AI - R2R Revolution can be played multi-player or single-player. In single player mode, AI allows for more strategy-oriented fighting experience and adds to replay value
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't be fooled Don't be fooled by all the other reviews that bash this game. This is the best R2R game to date! This game is very playable. in 4 days I have unlocked all the characters have been successful in all but one of the mini games. The only mini game that doesn't seem to work at all is the jump rope. But all the other games DO work to build up your created characters stats. it takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it, it really is no problem. IGN and game spot gave this game a 3.5 and that is just not fair or right. Game Informer gave this game a 1. a 1! They need to take a little more time to learn how to play a game before they start to bash it. Go out and buy this game, give it a chance. Championship mode is awesome, it's all around just a good game!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the game I once loved Ok this game STINKS. do not buy this game. you have been warned. This is not th R2R i remembered on the 64. i went to gamestop to pick this game up so happy that i finally got a chance to play this game again after soooooo many years without playing it. when i got homeand played it i found that this game was a complete DISAPPOINTMENT. This game would be SOOOO much better if the controls didn't make you look like an idiot in front of the screen. Or even if you could use the gamecube controller this would be easily be one of the best games for the wii and even contend with brawl, but nooooo atrari had to ruin the series. Where the heck is midway when we need them. Also the Characters STINK, i mean WHAT THE HECK ATARI Beckham isnt a fighter and What happened to Afro Thunder and Boris "The Bear" Knokimov. If you really want to take off your R2R needs dust out your 64 and copy ready 2 rumble boxing instead of buying this.
