Product Details:

One of the biggest names in boxing returns after a 15-year hiatus. Grab a Wii Remote controller in one hand and a Nunchuk controller in the other and step back into the ring with a modern update of the classic Punch-Out!!

  • Little Mac is back! Everyone's favorite underdog from the 1980s joins the best of the original Punch-Out!! cast in a modern re-imagination of the series. Players will find familiar names like Glass Joe, King Hippo and trainer Doc Louis. These boxers come to life again in cell-shaded 3-D, complete with hilarious fighting animations and back stories that capture all the fun and flair of the original Punch-Out!! games.
  • The motion-sensitive controls of the Wii console mean that when players throw punches, Little Mac throws punches as well. Additionally, you can control hooks and jabs by combining motion control with control-stick movement The motion-sensing Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers turn real-life swings into on-screen punches, so anyone can play. The game can also be played with classic NES-style controls by turning the Wii Remote sideways.

Characters: Little Mac, Glass Joe, King Hippo, Doc Louis, Von Kaiser and newcomer Disco Kid. There are a total of 13 opponents for Little Mac to step into the ring with, 12 of which are returning from previous games in the Punch-Out!! series.

Special powers/weapons/moves/features: Players can obtain special "Star Punches," which allow Little Mac to take more Health from his rival in a single punch. Players can now use multiple stars in a single punch for an extra-powerful attack.

Control options:

  • Motion Control (Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers) Punch-Out!! uses the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers to simulate throwing punches. Use the Nunchuck to throw a left punch and the Wii Remote to throw a right punch.
  • Classic Control (Wii Remote NES style) Fans of the NES version and core gamers will be excited to see Nintendo has also included the option to play Punch-Out!! using the classic layout from the original NES controller. Use the 1 and 2 buttons along with the cross pad to throw hooks and jabs or to dodge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reviving Experience I just got this yesterday for my birthday, and I love it! The gameplay is grear, and exceeds the original. Evem though in ,y opinion, this game has some of the worst graphics I've seen on the Wii, the game is still great, and the multiplayer is too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from PUNCH IT OUT! Punch Out for wii is a amazing remake of the old classic Punch Out game on the NES/SNES. What I was disappointed about this game was that they didn't add anymore new characters in the game. Just the same ol characters from the original NES/SNES game, but just saying that [spoiler alert] there is a DONKEY KONG boss in the game [Beep yes!] makes up for that disappointment. This game has very good graphics and have an awesome gameplay. SO ADDICTING! Way harder than the NES.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great game this is a rare kind of game. the ammount of srategy when fighting really makes this addicting, and you'll see when you play this, but the problem is this gets really hard and you might lose interest in this game for a while. but this is one of the better wii games

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun and incredibly addictive!! I first rented Punch Out and loved it so much I went out and bought it! The game seems to be fairly the same as the original. Its also very addictive and fun to try to memorize your opponents moves in attempt to TKO them. With the original Mac and the return of King Hippo and all the other crazy characters, this game is definitely a very well done remix of an old classic. Be sure to pick this up when you get the chance. Any age is sure to love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Ding Ding" Punch-Out!! Little Mac is back, but instead of fighting the Impossible Mr. Dream and Mike Tyson he's going against The Sandman and....Donkey Kong? This game is great and a complete classic. I just beat Mike Tyson's Punch-Out for the NES and when I saw the trailer for this I had to try it. It works, the motion controls work with it, though the Wii Fit Board isnt as good as I expected. Still the game is fun and will make you and your kids enjoy the fun. After you beat the game, you have to defend your title, which is very hard! I kinda gave up after fighting the Bear Hugger for the second time. Multiplayer is kinda fun, but when Mac turns into Mega Mac your opponet or yourself has the most advantage.Still, if you're looking for a fun boxing game on the Wii that works Punch-Out is the one to go for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I feel like I played this already... Its a fun Arcade style boxing game, but it gets boring fast. If you played a Punch Out before then you've basically played this already. Unless Nintendo wants to raise the bar in this franchise they are better off leaving it alone.
