To easy, and short
I spent 25 dollars on this game, cause I thought I was going to love it, cause I love designing fashion...but it was way to easy.. I would recommend this game to younger girls within the age of 6-8 but or else...it is just way to easy and short of a game.
I just got this game in the mail today. I can pretty much beat it in an hour but there is always new things to make and design so it doesn't really get boring. I am 21 years old and I love this game, I just hope they come out with one from this seasons designers. I love fashion, hair, and makeup so for me this game is great. I would recommend it to anyone of any age who likes project runway. Another good thing about this game is that you don't really need the wii balance board, as long as you have a nunchuck you are good to go, the balance board probably helps but I dont have the money to go out and buy one, you can still do that catwalk and the poses without it. One thing i wish the game had is better graphics for the clothing, it would be nice if it looked more realistic. Overall- love the game, i'm addicted =)
Fun for my girls
Picked this up for my daughters (ages 7 & 10) and they love it. We have the Wii board, which works well for the posing section. Once you finish the season part, you can make outfits and hair and makeup using they styles from the challenges. The girls like the makeup studio (their to young to wear it in real life). I'm a fan of the show, and they have some funny videos from one of the seasons and used contestants from last years show. The characters from the show only show up as images, but they used the voices in the game. There's a photography section which the girls liked, but my 7 year old had trouble aiming the camera. They both have other fashion games on the DS as well as a few more on the Wii, so they had played these kind of games before. A good buy.
I picked this game up this morning since I'm a huge fan of the show and I haven't been able to put it down since. There are so many options to create clothes from it's mind-boggling. I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about with the game being too short -- You can play through a bunch of different challenges from the show and even after you've completed them once you can go back through and make brand new clothes with brand new styles over and over again. I've yet to come out of a challenge with with clothes that looked like something I had already created. And let me say this... FINALLY a game the uses the Wii fit board properly instead of just some tacked on gameplay mechanic. I've had the wii fit board for almost a year now and there have been very few games that even use it, let alone use it well. This game knocks it out of the park with the board!!!!!! My freinds and I take turns walking the catwalk and battling it out in the pose-off mode. I have to say that of all the fashion games out there, this one absolutely takes the cake. So many things to choose from, styles to create, and accessories to pick. And it's great to hear what the judges from Project Runway have to say about my clothing line!!! Great job guys!!!! Definitely worth the buy!
Too Short Even for a Beginner
My daughter completed Project Runway for WII in an hour and she literally JUST got it. If you like games that are WAY too short and overpriced, then buy Project Runway. In other words, DON'T BUY THIS. Sure they have those pretty little fashions that look good, but that's just to cover up the short storyline. Even the show itself is longer than the game! While my daughter was playing it froze up, too. That just goes to show how much the creators put into the fashions than the storyline length. If you ask me, I think I would prefer a game that has a long storyline and bad fashions than a ridiculously short game with good fashions. This poor excuse for a game should have a -10 as a rating! But I will just give this game a 1 out of 10.
