Rated 5 out of 10 by Roxas358 It's O.K, but....
I am a small fan of the Prince of Persia series. I have played Rival Swords on the Wii and personally it's a little better than this one. Here's the overall plot. Dastan (the prince) gets lead by a Genie to a palace only he can see if he forms a pact with her by kissing a statue (????). I think he'll eventually rule this land but whatever... The gameplay is decent, but the controls makes me wanna scream! At one point I was aiming to scale a wall upward, but Dastan ended up falling three feet and killing himself. Also if you forget to save your game AFTER completeing a puzzle (for example a stupid move the pieces to create a path puzzle...) you have to do it again! Overall, this game is only for those willing to put forth the effort and time to get over the stupid puzzles. This is one I'm returning for a Wii Points card later >.<

I just want to start out by saying that i love the Prince of Persia games. I have played every single one from The Sands of Time to The Forgotten Sands. The Forgotten Sands is a good game in its own right. But the main thing that i don't like is that you can't control any elements in the Wii Version of the game. The only powers you get are from kissing a stupid statue with a Djinn inside of it which is like our modern day Genie, without the lamp. The graphics are ok for a next gen game. They are an improvement over the Sands of Time, but that was so long ago that if they went backwards that would be horrible. On the other side of the critisism, It was an awesome Idea to place the 1992 Prince of Persia in the game, And if you find and drink different potions through out the game you can unlock different things like the Dagger of Time; a different costume to play in; many other things. The Wii Version of the game is also Co-Op so if you and a friend want to play, Just turn on another Wiimote. The second player can leave at any time, and the second player will be in charge of the Dijinn(Genie). It is a good game but i wanted it to control the elements. I give it a 7 out of 10 stars.

Has all the usual Prince of Persia tricks, puzzles and action - blades, saws, poison ivys, charms, hooks, jumping action. Definite treat for POP fans.
The storyline is ok. For much of the game you will just keep chasing a beast who runs off with your sword (they certainly could have put in a little more drama as the game progressed)
The visuals are good, if not awesome.
What I did not like is the fighting action. There seems to be no skill required. Just keep swinging your remote/nunchuk in a circular motion and you will kill your enemies. The fighting is not enjoyable at all, and serve as distraction to the main theme - which is the story. In fact, the game would have been much better off if the fights were reduced.

For a game with a simple plot it turned out to be quite enjoyable. The game's plot consists of the prince having to trail a monster throughout the entire kingdom of, once glorious and magical, Izdihar in order to retrieve a mystical sword impaled in the monster's body. The graphics were decent but not something to scream about. The cut scenes had impressive voice acting and the characters' motions blended in smoothly to what their words seemed to be expressing. The sound didn't bother me like most games do. With most games I turn down the volume and play some music but with this game I kept and still keep the volume up to hear the byplay between the prince's questions and the genie's smart aleck responses. The only problem I had with the sound was when the prince was engaged in combat. After a few seconds the constant "Hyahh!" or "Ahhh!" just seemed to be annoying and overdone. The gameplay in overall was great. Only a hand few of puzzles were challenging while the others were easy to get the hang of. The combat wasn't to hard to master considering that one would merely have to shake their wrist. Like many, I found myself using the finishing move constantly since it proved to be the most simple attack apart from tossing enemies over the edge. I would urge everyone looking for a good game to buy this.

Throughout the game I was amazed at the impossible stunts that you could pull off in the forgotten sands. The game never lost its lasting appeal and throughout the game you are allways challenged ,but not to the point of giving up. However the end of the game was too easy and extremely disappointing. Other then the ending this game was amazing and I would recommend it to any one interested in the game.

When I bought this game I had second thoughts. But when I got home and played it I knew that I had made the right choice. I had never played a Prince of Persia game before. The game play is great but the sound could use some fixing. also the graphics aren't that bad ether. The story line might keep you busy but it's worth it!!!

This game was really awesome at first but after you beat it it just gets boring. You can't go back running through the kingdom you have to start the same game all over again.
