really good game addicting has a really good story controls are great and its very unique and one of a kind
Easy to Play Hard to Pass
I really like the game play it just like the first and original. The Wii remote sounds and effect is a great add to the game but I agree with others the first game is harder back then it was more difficult and more fun but, I must still admit this a great edition to there trilogy remastering this game was a good and fun idea. I could imagine some don't agree but from my opinion and point of view it is a great pass time video game and fun for all ages and that's what the Wii stands for and so I give this game an 8.5 there something I don't like but it is till great I greatly recommended this game to beginners and hardcore gamers as well its a great sage to Nintendo
Pikmin for Wii is a port of the strategy/adventure game for Game cube. Story line: Olimar is a small big-nosed astronaut who crash-lands on a foreign planet inhabited by little onion-looking creatures who Olimar names "Pikmin" after a food on his planet. Gameplay: The gameplay is not extreme but it will keep you trying to get a whole army of pikmin to explore this exotic planet. Large creatures will try to kill your pikmin and will get in the way of your exploration. By flinging your pikmin at the creatures to get them to demolish them and a little purple spirit will float out. You will find parts of your ship which you collect but you need a certain amount of pikmin to pick it up and bring it back. By carrying dead carcasses, flower numbers, and big number coins to the pikmin's weird ship thing, you earn more pikmin that yo have to pick out of the ground. Go figure huh. Controls: The game flaunts its new Wii remote controls that I think are simple to use. At the beginning of the game the controls are explained easily. Game control age: (age at which these controls are understandable) 5 year olds and up should be able to control this game easily. Animation: The big world seen through the eyes of a small astronaut is portrayed incredibly with nice graphics. Review score: I give this game a [8.5] fun and full of an excitement-around-the-corner experience I extremely enjoyed this game.
omg this is da best game in the world
I had no idea how to beat the puffstool so I had everyone turned to puffmin and oil mar was almost dead so I left da game
Pikmin is a classic brought back to life from the GameCube and put on the Nintendo Wii. The designers did a great job except for a few control differences. Otherwise, the game is the exact same but with better graphics. The game involves producing Pikmin and killing off the enemy bugs to retrieve Captin Olimar's Ship parts. You have 30 in-game days to do so which range from about 15 minutes per day. In the 30 days you have, you need to find all the 30 parts in the 5 different locations. Each new day you will always encounter something new. Weather it be a new pikmin, a new emeny, or new boss. This game is full of surprises with addicting gameplay that is surly worth the money. Grab this game if you like getting your moneys worth in buying video games. Because this game won't let you down.
BEST OF pikmin
Ever since pikmin came out it was great Im the biggest fan of pikmin and i most say this is the best with great controls and good story line it is truly a gam cube master piece gone Wii.
An instant classic brought back!
Originally "Pikmin" created in 2001 for the Nintendo Gamecube. The game itself it brilliant in almost every way. You play as Captain Olimar, the little astronaut with the huge nose, who crash landed on a mysterious planet due to a meteor striking his ship, "the Dolphin". You must find 30 missing pieces of your ship within 30 days before Olimar's life support fails. To get the pieces, you'll need help from the Pikmin, which there are three species of, red, yellow and blue. Learning to control the Pikmin and ordering them to fulfill certain tasks can become a breeze in no time, but as the adventure becomes more difficult, you may have to think outside the box sometimes. The graphics are certainly greater than those of other Game cube games, especially when you take a look at the backgrounds, the detail on the environment is certainly a pleasure to look at. The time it may take the average player to finish the game may take around 10 hours of gameplay. Pikmin screamed Wii controls, so the controls were added. The new controls are very simple, you probably won't find one thing to complain about the controls. Adding wii controls seemed to be a thumbs up to me, and made the game Pikmin an even better game than it was back in 2001.
why this game is my favriote
no, don't criticize me as I played the gc instead of Wii, but this game in my opinion is the best in the franchise. although yellows are under powered unlike 2 or 3, it is still the best game along with the best final boss ( as the 2nd and 3rd games final bosses are to hard for me) it is always a great game and as the best launch title for the gc.
This game is one of my favorite video games/video game series of all time. The controls are almost perfect, but sometimes I would have trouble hitting small enemies with the pointer, but other than that I think it's better than the gamecube version. The game is rather short, but it's set up in a way where you can compare your results to past playthroughs, and it's like trying to get the 'high score' in terms of how many pikmin you lost, how many you sprouted, and how quickly you get all 30 ship parts (the fastest possible is 9/30 days). My biggest problem with this game is the amount of glitches. Sometimes when facing larger enemies, pikmin would get get pushed into the ground and were killed. I knew this was a glitch because the pikmin didn't have their ghosts pop out of their bodies as they die. That sounds kind-of gruesome but it's really not. Nevertheless, it is a great game and is worth $20.
Man this game was awesome I've played all the ones that have come out on game cube and I just loved them. I really can't wait until this game comes out. You can be sure I'm going to be one of the many people to reserve and go pick this up the first day it comes out.
