I ended up picking this game up a few days ago and im honestly having a great time with it!
I bought it used for $10 and i gotta say it was worth every penny, such a GREAT hack-n-slash kinda game and as you progress through the modes, the zombies come in hoards and they are harder to beat, just finished up "Violent Mode" and that alone was stupid hard, thought i was done with all the modes and after the credits i discover i unlocked yet ANOTHER difficulty mode "BERSERK mode" lol
Ive already maxed out the main character (Aya) stats so she's pretty much beast but keep in mind you can play 1 of 2 characters when you first start the game but when you beat Aya's story you unlock another character Reiko and if you play as Saki, you unlock the character Misery so pretty much you can play as 4 different characters, each has a story and dont forget all the difficulty modes to unlock so if you're looking for a pretty difficult game, zombies, chicks in skimpy outfits & tons of replay value, for CHEAP? OneChanbara is your game. :)

Very good game. The graphics are defiantly some of the best on the Wii. The storyline is pretty cool in a cheesy B movie sort of way. The game makes good use of the motion controls, and the controls are also fairly streamlined. It has a nice soundtrack to it, most of them having a distinct 80's feel to them and being heavily guitar driven. The game can get sorta challenging at times, but for the most part its a cakewalk. Its a great game to play when you just need to wind down after work or school. Your troubles seem to just float away in an ocean of zombie blood. The only bad thing about it is the story mode was very short, I personally completed the whole thing in about 16 hours of casual playing. The are 4 distinctly different characters and each of them has 8 missions which take about 15-30 minutes to complete. All in all I recommend this game to anyone who likes zombies, gore action, and well.....bikinis.
Rated 3 out of 10 by Electronaut72 Feels like an unfinished Devil May Cry clone
Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers could have been a decent Devil May Cry-type action game, but it's hampered by lazy design and poor control choices across the board. Basically, you choose one of 2 scantily-clad women and slash through dozens of generic zombies and monsters in extremely sparse levels. Your main attacks require you to shake the remote continuously, which is pretty annoying. On top of that, the secondary combo attacks that allow you to slash in different directions can be hard to execute due to all the rampant waggling required. The repetitive gameplay and ho-hum levels wear thin quickly, and the bosses are just recycled versions of the player characters. Story mode is a drab affair, featuring virtually no production value--just some text rising on a dark backround with Japanese voice before each level. There are 2 additional characters and a few alternate outfits to unlock, but it's not enough to make you keep coming back. Once you get used to the weird controls, it's mildly fun to slash the rooms full of enemies and see how long of a combo you can string together, but that's about all the enjoyment you'll likely get out of this one.
Rated 10 out of 10 by nickash69 Very good game.
I bought this game about 3 days ago being very skeptical as to whether i would like it. I had read many reviews on it a few good but majority of the reviews were bad but i put those aside and bought the game anyway. I was very satisfied I bought 2 other games the same day and i still have yet to play them because i have been having too much fun with this game it has good graphics great controls a very good story line and there is also a decent amount of stuff to do although one of the campaigns could be completed in about 2 hours or so there is survival many quests for you to do and there is also 4 different characters with different but intertwining story lines. there is also 3 costumes per character for you to unlock through difficult quests and the 2 main characters also have their own special costume only unlocked through beating story mode on all difficulties which was pretty difficult but very fun it has kept me occupied for a good bit of time i have nearly 20 hours of gameplay now and i am still not even close to being bored with it since i still have 2 more campaigns to do. :) Great game i recommend it to anyone who enjoys slicing zombies up for hours on end.
Rated 5 out of 10 by TheDude29 Not Very Fun
I bought this game after reading all the user reviews posted here and I have to say I was not impressed at all. I would have taken it back to trade it in for something else if I wasn't working none stop this week. I have to say this game is only $10 bucks used but its $10 I wish I would have bought something else with. This game is pretty pointless and there are not enough options when it comes to fighting with the Wii controller. I recommend Red Steel which is cheaper and 100% better.

Okay so first off my prob with game is it was English subbed only... But the rest of the hack&slash stuff is awesome, but it gets harder as you progress through the game. And Saki is a way better fighter then Aya.
