Need for Speed Undercover
IT WAS OK
First off way too easy, but still fun i think it's for kids that want to start out with racing games.Need For Speed is the best racing franchise of all time, but not for the WII even though Need For Speed Carbon for Wii was amazing. Some of the cars are good at the start,so really the cars get better as you go on,but not really. The cops act crazy they'll run into cars when ever they turn and some times they'll even try to ride through pursuit breakers and kill themselves. You can be a cop on this game so you get to chase all the bad guys but the sucky part it that you cant free roam it.On the wii you can change the difficulty unlike on all the on the consoles I played on hard and and beat it in 24 hours so it really doesn't matter what mode you play on it's easy overall. The dramas are really not necesary but they do it just about every modern need for speed game. It's kind of like a mix of family and friend game.I really was a ok game it wasn't the greatest game racing wise but you can definetly have fun with the game.
this game is by far the best need for speed on the wii. It has multiple controller modes and is really fun. it needs online support though. the reason i said that this game is perfect for party gamers is because after you beat it and you just drive around and slam into cops. getting chased by the cops and trying to escape is a lot more fun when you have other people with you cause you can take turns. it is really fun. DO NOT GET HOT PURSUIT I PLAYED IT. IT WAS WORSE THAN NITRO, AND IS JUNK COMPARED TO THE PS3 AND XBOX VERSION.
Good but not as good as thought
When i first heard about this game coming out i was completly excited about it. Seeing the comercials on tv i also thought it would be a heart pounding and thrilling game. So i said i have to buy this. When i did i was not as impressed with what i was playing. When you play the game racing down the streets it is hard to see because the streets are shiny as if it just rained. Plus when you drive you have no time to evade the cars as they appear out of no where and right in front of your face. Plus when you are in the police pursuits you could be going 220 mph and be way far away from them you will look at your radar and notice coming down the road at light speed. Other than that the game is good. The story line is good. Plus i like how not only can you face off against cops and other drivers but you can also be the cop and can other drivers. Plus the selection of cars and custumization parts is awesome. And i like how they put old and new cars in there like the hemi cuda and the 60s shelby gt500. So if you are thinking about getting this game i would rent it first and then buy it.
Didn't quite live up to expectations...
I got this game a while back, and i was expecting something a few steps up over NFSC, but the graphics, though still good, were no better than those of NFSC. The amount of cars is decent, but is nowhere close to the posted car list that is 20 models and several makes longer than what is availible in the game. According to the list, which was posted by EA, this game should have given us BMW's, Ferraris, Audis, and a few other car manufacturers, and, if you look in the game progress, it will tell you that you have unlocked 70-some cars when, in fact, only 50-some are available. The graphics were just as good as Carbon, but not quite as good as Prostreet. The sounds, though some ripped straight from Prostreet, were very good, and gave the game a certain amount of realism. The cop chases are fun, though it is a bit too easy to lose the heat with any car that can top 170, which, this being NFS, every single car can. The missions are good, but the story is not the full one that is available even in the iPod/iPhone version. The car customization is great, but the vinyls seem unorganized. All in all, this is a pretty good game, though i think we were cheated out of some of the features of the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions.
Solid racing game with great customizing features...
The Good: The game has a good amount of cars and very cool customizing options with engine/trans, suspension, brakes, tires, rims, body kits, self sculpt body parts, chop-top, and custom paints. I like being able to play the undercover side and bust the bad guys. Its just a matter of hitting their cars hard enough to break them down. I also like having the cops in this when you race and chases are fun... rhino trucks are tough, but the Lambo and Vette cop cars are hard as well (esp in numbers). I like the challenge series for mini games to practice and unlock some items. The tracks are good and vary alot from different areas of town. I like getting the cop cars awarded to me to build up some extra cash and its fun to go crash some bad guys. I like hitting the semi trucks to dump loads onto the road. The Bad: The cars and performance parts can get insane on price in game. I think icons to help you find hiding spots would be nice. You have to just figure it out... although you can use the police chase breakers and they do help. The Conclusion: I still own it after it first came out now. So, replay is there but I tend to do quick races or challenge series for fun now. I think the track, controls, customizing is unmatched on the Wii right now and the Need for Speed brand seems way ahead of others out there. I still own NFS Undercover and Carbon still after all this time. That says enough there doesnt it. I did have NFS ProStreet and I like certain parts of the srtip racing... but not enough to keep it and traded it.
When I got this game at Christmas last year, I played it ALOT!!! its an amazing, fun, and addicting game! It takes a while to beat it, which is a good thing.
Not that great
I bought this game with extremely high hopes and when I finally got it I was extremely disappointed. I had expected a boost in the graphics to be somewhat better than previous NFS and Wii games, but this was not the case. The graphics were not even close to those on the PS3 or 360. This game was basically a combination of NFS Most Wanted and Carbon, which were pretty good games in their own right, but with the hype for this game I was expecting something revolutionary. I suggest that one should just buy Most Wanted for Gamecube and deal with the lack of the control types. The Courses were very disappointing as well, they were just the exact same as Rockport (the city from Most wanted) except with different buildings for a different look. There are many cool cars available in this game, more of a variety than previously but this doesn't make up for the game's lack of a new development worth paying the $** for. Overall, this game is pretty good but almost the same as Most Wanted, I suggest saving $** and just buying the previous title, unless the new features and controls mean that much to you.
Awesome Racing Game, but gets kinda boring
This game might be the best free roam car game/racing game of all time. But the only problem is: I've had this game for like a year or two now, there are only 3 cities u can visit. But just like real highways, there are exits, road signs, bridges, awesome views, and more!!! Buy it!
this is so hard
when i got the game i loved is then it started to get harder and harder i started to throw the wii remote over the house but i looked at cheat codes i got the concept of the game i started to get better and be a pro at this game please buy it
I LOVE IT
THIS GAME IS THE BEST EVER!! The challenges are great, the graphics are good, controls are fun, has good varieties of tracks and vehicles, and you can customize your car. The thing that makes this game really fun is the cop chases. You get to feel massive speeds as you risk everything to escpae the cops by going over 100mph, crashing stuff down to make obstacles for the cops, and the tricks you try to pull on them, and the ones they pull on you. The races are great too, they're like the cop chases but with other fast vehicles and sometimes along with the cops. So is the story mode, its a combination of races, chases, and jobs you do for others for cold, hard cash you can spend for your ride. The cars are awesome, the tracks take place in different cities and the highways that connect them all, or you could just explore the place for fun, but watch out for the cops...
