NBA Jam is pure adrenaline rush. I loved playing Jam at the arcade on North High Street (Silver Ball) as a kid. We don't have to wait until Christmas to settle the Heat vs. Lakers dispute. I am going to take care of that on October 5th. My prediction is the Heat will lose terribly to me and Kobe. Have fun everyone and Happy Holidays from the home of the OSU Buckeyes!

Let me start off by saying even though EA hasen't had much success lately with there basketball game's this year may be the turning point for EA With nba elite on its way. Nba jam will bring new and old fan's of arcade basketball this game will be the reasons adults as will as children will be waiting for the moment that they can run home and play a few games. In other words this game is sure to be an instant classic. The only thing that troubles me is similar to what dumbball is writing about. The polls are closed everyone voted on there picks but what about the new comer's such as john wall, evan turner, wesley johnson,ect.......I guess will see what ea has instore for us Does anybody know if anfernee penny hardaway will be in this game. True legend

Hey Dumball, How old are you? I don't mean that to be offensive, but really, what year were you born in? The only reason I'm asking is that your comment would obviously indicate that you never played the original NBA Jam. Let me make it clear: NBA Jam will not compete with other basketball games. Why? Because it is unlike any other sports game ever. EA isn't trying to milk sports fans out of their money, because NBA Jam is not really for sports fans. It's a crazy, hilarious arcade game that happens to be a basketball game. If you had ever played the first game, you'd know what I mean. But if you are some me against the world, 13-year-old die-hard basketball fan, you'll never understand what this game means to my generation. This is nostalgia heaven.

If you grew up playing this game and NBA JAM T.E. for the Sega Genesis or Super NES, this is almost a no-brainer. The over-the-top gameplay of the series has returned with improved graphics and sound. The animation seems smoother and the players now have photo-realistic faces that seem almost "pasted" onto the player models, but the effect is crazy, funny and perfectly matches the game's character. If you were looking for a fun party game, but want to avoid the horribly generic offerings found all too often on the Wii, you can't go wrong here. It's easy for anyone to pick up and play, offers 4-player support and is sure to please the hardcore and casual gamer alike. A must-play title if you like your sports games a bit more over the top!

This is a good game. I played this a long time ago on the old systems. This is good for a Wii version basketball game. If you like basketball or sport games that are like NFL Blitz I think you would like this game.

I've had this game since Christmas, but really started to play it this summer. I love this game. The game play is great with the classic pro controller. It's easy to use and makes the game play really easy. I love the sound especially the "No Hoop for You" after a block. The unlockable players from the past has a decent mix of players who made NBA Jam what it was when I originally had the game on Genesis. Larry Johnson and AI make it worth is for me alone. Although I'm a true Bulls fan, I also have to admit the Golden State with Steph Curry is a great video game team. Curry is a great player in this game.

NBA Jam is a terrific basketball game, escpecially for the wii. Since the wii hasn't had its success with basketball games, this one blows every other one into the dust. They don't try to ruin the experience with bad control gimmicks like nba live did and they keep it simple. The graphics are good and what they should be. The high-res photos make for a funny experience and its cool to see. Classic campaign is a very fun mode in this in which you take on all of the nba teams and some legends to beat it. It's a lot of fun and EA Canada did an amazing job on it. 10/10 with a solid NBA experience

I really liked this game. The dunks and blocks are, "Kind of exagerated" yet still wicked awesome. I picked this game up a couple of days ago and I played it for a while, then got kind of bored. The game is really repetitive. The dunks hardly ever change. You always get rejected unless you dunk. And unless you are playing with friends or family, you can only control one person. And I haven't caught on fire once. Not that this is all bad, but I'm just saying. The graphics are pretty good... for a Wii game. I would still call this game "A Good Game."

this game is a instant classic i still have it for my original super nintendo but it wud be better if it wazz on xbox360(hopefully within the next yr). . .i dont really like the game remix stuff it has it moments but the classic campaign is great and the announcer is make the game so live and gets u more into it way more(glad to hear updated material), love big head mode super funny and that they added the crossover dribble and spin move which make it easy to get around the defense so overall it a great buy for the wii get the classic controller tho brings back the old feel to the game

So way back when there was a company called Sega that made not only great games but had their own consoles! I know right? NBA Jam was the most popular game behind the Mortal Kombat franchise that my friends & I would waste away our lives playing on a sleek, state of the art Genesis console. When I heard about NBA Jam being re-born on the next gen consoles I was thrilled beyond words. So I picked it up for my Wii(which it was released on first Had I been patient I would have it for my 360 instead). The graphics are good, limited only by the Wii's own abilities, as opposed to say an, XBox 360? But they blow away the 16-bit Genisis I remember from days of yore. I much prefer the "old skool" control scheme the game supports as to using the standard wii/nunchuck lip buster. I wish EA could have packaged a CD or download option with just Tim Kitzrow's (announcer) random commentary. Its hilarous! That alone warrants investing in a quality sound system. The AI opponents get rather aggressive if down by a decent amount late in the game (a nod to original developer, Midway, of Mortal Kombat fame, perhaps?) and can be frustrating if you're trying to unlock a Jam Challenge of some sort, but again its something that the original NBA Jam notrious for and I see this as just another way of preserving the classic nature of a treasured memory of my somewhat mis-spent youth. All in all this is a game I will enjoy for quite some time.
