My Sims Kingdom
Attention Creative Gamers
MySims kingdom is a whymsical land were everyone is excepted every skill you have ever aquired will likely be needed for gameplay,if your artistic you will not mind the challenges of building houses and decorating them. But you do have to know your way around physics and common sense like by not doing something mean to a character you need a BRAIN for this game not just to be able to move a joystick and press "a-b" on the wii remote.
Great Game But 1 Annoying Thing...
As a proud costumer of the first My Sims game, I got this one. This game is great game with a lot of things to do and is a fun puzzle and challenge. Putting together different gears and hooking up plumbing and electric is fun and changeling but it's like a very fun 3-D puzzle. The storyline of the game is very good and the controls are great. When you are fishing, it seems like your actually fishing and when your cutting down trees, it seems like you really have an axe in you hand swing at the tree. The only annoying part is "rounding up the animals". It is hard to do and gets frustrating after a while. It's first easy when you start because the animals follow you but then it gets a little harder than even more harder and than it just becomes a pain in the butt. But besides that, it is a great game and if you liked the first My Sims game, than you'll LOVE this one.
I read in a magazine this was coming out and I freaked for a second. Then I was flooded with the thoughts of how the old MySims game was OK, but I got really bored after people gave me harder tasks and it was just getting old, like Animal Crossing. I still play Animal Crossing for the DS though, because it's fun. Then I read that it was going to be so much better than MySims, and so much more fun. I lost the magazine so I can't tell you exactly what it said, but it's said to be much more enjoyable. How people wanted and didn't want certain things in the new MySims, and the team took those into consideration. So I think it will be a lot of fun! I love the graphics and the different people in it, but now Medieval!? Isn't that what people want? They don't want a boring one of just LIFE, they want fantasy type stuff! It keeps the imagination up. We already have forests and cities and deserts, but we don't live in medieval times. I think a lot more people are going to like it.
The Kingdom Isn't As Fun As You Would Expect....
Now let me get one thing strait, this is not really for party peoples that are over 11 or so years of age. This title may be fun at first (After about 30 minutes of dialogue) but it eventually takes a turn for the worst. You will consist of a wand that will give you the ability to build items such as houses, porches, docks, plantery, and so many more. You also need to search for hidden objects that are, well, hidden all over each island you will visit in time. It goes from being as simple as finding a cheery or an apple, to finding 15 electronic devices, 20 cherries, 10 bass or catfish, and a baby bear, just to complete a scroll. A scroll is basicly a new power that you or your wand can now complete. Overall, consider renting this game, before you may possibly be wasting your money when you could by yourself the game you've been waiting for! But, on the otherhand, you may enjoy this title. It may depend on your personality. To check out more of my reviews, look up Rock Band 2 for Nintendo Wii, or Mario Superstar Baseball for Nintendo Gameqube.
More for children
My sims kingdom is an ok game. It just seems to be kind of childish. The game is also much too short. I had it beat in like a week ,just playing an hour or two at a time after work. I had gotten it with the bundle pack and was very excited it came with a sims game.To my disappointment it is not like other sims games. You can interact with things (and also create them), but it does not serve a purpose. Such as making a pizza. You can then take it to a table and place it down. Then you or someone else will eat it, depending on who sits down faster. You can go to sleep but you dont get anything. All you have to do is use a metal detecter and dig up items, use a pick to get items from walls, shake trees for items, etc. Then when you have enough of the required items you get a scroll. These let you open more building supplies. I think this would be a good game for children, not too young though unless they are very intellegent. You have to be able to control the camera and select through a lot of different parts (block, pipes, electrical, decorative).
This game really surprised me. I expected it to be like My Sims and it does have a resemblance. My Sims Kingdom is much easier to play and a lot of fun. I recommend it to all the Sims fans. It has great replay value and took a little longer to beat than My Sims. I liked the fact that later in the game, you have to figure out the puzzles for yourself. I had a little trouble controlling the camera angle when places objects but you soon get used to it. There are many islands to travel to with many tasks to complete. Sort of a slow start and a lot of directions from your Sims before you start to play. The voices are a little irritating just as MY Sims. It is very addicting once you get started. I will play this game over and over. Hope you will add this to your Sims collection.
this game is amazing for so many reasons that most people have already listed so im not going to go into much detail but for the most part i would have to say buy it. its at a price that is way lower then its actually worth and is worth every penny. i have had some minor problems with the game but for all i know it could of been because of my Wii, but the game is good enough to write a good review on it so buy it know.
I'm a sims fan, but only of certain types of sims games. I don't like the ones where you have tasks but it takes you a month to get two things done because everything is on real time and you have to keep showering and eating and you can never leave the house, like the original sims for the play station....ggrrr so annoying! I loved the Sims-The Urbs for the DS and pretty much all the sims for the DS. I like having tasks and actually being able to accomplish them! Anyways if you like those types of sims games you'll love this one. Its SUPER cute and theres a story line! It's easy to follow and play. There is always something to do. Lots of little challenges and you get to change your hair and your clothes all the time. The only thing annoying is their voices but I guess that's just what Sims does. I haven't finished playing it and I have played it for about 40 hours so it takes a while to flip which is nice. You get to build stuff like houses( the interior and exterior) and fix music equipment, garden plumming & Mills. You also get to fish, Mine & use a detector to dig up stuff. I think the game is worth the money and the time! Other games I like: Animal Crossing, Sims-The Urbs, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero, My Sims & Carnival Mini Golf.
Cute for kids
This game is really cute for the children. I find it surprisingly fun. I like it, even though it is a childish game.
I bought this because I found the DS version a bit hard to play and thought it would be better on the Wii. It is totally different than the DS version and much better. I've found it addictive. In the beginning you get to completely customize your sim, down to the voice. What I like is that you can change the character, except for the gender, as soon as you unlock a new costume. The beginning is a bit slow, but it really is a tutorial as how to play. They make it part of the game instead of something totally boring. Every land you travel to gives you different characters to interact with and a new set of challenges. The challenges are repetive enough so that you don't have to learn totally different controls, but new enough to keep you interested. Some of the game can get a bit repetitive, such as mining for "essesces" or shaking trees. But it's worth it. I did encounter one problem on a level. I completed one task and saved the game. When I came back it showed I completed the task, but the game wouldn't let me move on to another task. I finally took apart what I just built and rebuilt it. That seemed to jog the game into responding and it moved on. One of the fun parts of the game is you can go back to previously completed areas and add unlocked features, such as adding a sink to a kitchen. Also, try interacting with everything. You can jump on couches, run water, cook dinner and so much more. Every time you interact with something you recieve "essences" to help you on your quest. It's also just fun to see what your character will do next. The creators paid attention to details. My favorite part is when my sim is in the bathtub or a hot tub. Also when you interact with something, try it several times. Many objects give you several different reactions. Overall it's a great game and one I totally reccomend.
