You don't do anything. You don't even roll the dice; they do it for you. The only thing that you do is decide if you want to buy the property or not. Its not a game that you use your mind or anything else. I just thought it would be a little more fun; kinda like the real thing. You can't play with like just one other person. If u want to play by yourself you have to play with three other computer players which is so annoying because i myself would like to just play with one or two other computers. And it takes a long time to play while doing nothing except watching your tv. I mean how much more exciting can it get. But it might be fun for a family but if you want to just play by yourself then its not a very good one to play and its pretty pricey to begin with for this game not worth your money.

This game is great. I love Monopoly and the colors and sounds are great. If you just want to cuddle up on a cold night this a game to play with friends and family. I wanted it for Christmas and my friend bought it for me, it took a while to unlock all 9 boards. I am so happy with the game and I'm sure you will be also, as for the haters well maybe they just don't know how to play and was never good at it from the start, I read in one review that a woman said she could not play with just 1 computer player, but yes, you can and you should really read the instruction booklet before you start to play the game. I would have to rate this game at a 10+ it's great for all ages small or tall young or old. I could not wait for the Wii to make this game, it might cost a lot but it's well worth it.

Not sure if the previous review is totally accurate. 1. You do roll the dice by shaking the remote, then press A. 2. You can play just 1 on 1 or with the computer, just have to change the open player settings to none from computer. It is a board game turned video game so it isn't he most thrilling game, but if you like the board game, then you'll like this as well. Monopoly Wii is fun because you don't have to deal with the money and cards, all of that is taken care of for you, speeding up the game some. The mini games are fun quick ways to play if you don't want to spend too much time playing a full game. A new board is unlocked each time you play, adding a little variety instead of playing the same board every game. Overall, kind of a fun new take on a classic board game.

I love Monopoly! This game is gonna rock on the Wii! I hope they take advantage of the Wii remote sensitivity. Like shaking to roll the dice, using a pointer, and other quirky things. I've played monopoly on the sega genesis, the gameboy (original), and Monopoly Party for the PS2 and even the monopoly board game collection on the DS. I rule at this game. And I hope you can go wi fi and battle people around the world l like if you have friends or family across the country, you can play them just sitting on your couch! One last thing, I WANNA BE THE CAR! Heheh

This game is a slow paced game, only slightly faster than the actual board game. PROS: 1. You don't have to deal with the cards or money. 2. Nobody can knock into the board and accidentally (or purposefully) move all of your hotels and houses around. CONS: 1. Slow game play - you cannot push past the animations; you have to watch everything that goes on with the screen each and every play. 2. Even on easy, the computer is incredibly hard to beat with one player. The computer players get impossible odds on their dice rolls and the cards they pick up - this was evident after playing a 2 hour game and losing to the computer which owned only one Monopoly. 4. Controls - You have to have one remote for every player, make sure to have one remote for every player. You cannot just press A to continue, you have to aim the remote at the screen and click an OK button multiple times. It's minor, but gets frustrating when your remote is dying from hours of time trying to beat the computer players. 5. Animations - There's really nothing that draws you in to play the video game instead of the board game. It moves by jumping from space to space, just like you would on a board game, and that's about the most of it. CONCLUSION - This is a slow paced game and good if you've got 4 people to play and have time to kill. Having the computer managing the money and properties is the about the only reason to play this game over the actual board game. If you have the board game already, don't buy this game.
