Monkey King: The Legend Begins
An hour of fun...
It literally took me less than an hour to beat the ENTIRE game. I was extremely glad this game was given to me by a friend and I didn't have to spend anything on it, because honestly I wouldn't even spend a penny on this game. It was pointless and a huge disappointment to any gamer.
If you have a 5 yr old who just wants to play a game but doesn't necessarily know how to "beat" a level and gets upset when they die, this might be a good game for them.
The graphics were nice and reminiscent of an older storybook style. The tilt feature is pointless (You can beat the game without it). The plot isn't interesting at all and I quickly found myself speeding past it just to get to the "good" part (only to find there wasn't any) and the Bosses are a total joke! Really, before the boss fully shows up on the screen you can already have beaten him!!
The front cover is very deceptive and they should change it to something kiddish to reflect how it really is. If you are a toddler you will find this fun, otherwise you should spend your money on something more worthwhile.
Seriously, why would anyone dare to try out this game? Challenge is not even a word I would consider when thinking of this game. The graphics are reminiscent of an older age of gaming, which is bad in my opinion and the storyline is nonexistent. What I think the creators were trying to do was make a cheap game that could hitch on the backstory of the 2008 movie "The Forbidden Kingdom." Their creation seems to be an awful attempt at weaseling uninformed consumers out of their money. Essentially what they created was a failed bandwagon attempt that blew up in their faces. It reeks of mediocrity and screams amateur. Honestly, if you feel the need to take a stab at this game, go right on ahead. I'll take a back seat and play more deep and meaningful games exclusive to and iconic of Nintendo and the Wii
