Mini Desktop Racing - Used
Not what it seems.
Let me just put this plain and simple: This game is BAD. First off, the actual gameplay is quite different from the screenshots shown in the back of the box. The box shows what you would initially expect; a mini RC racing game zipping across obstacles like cups, rulers, books, etc. However, when you actually play the game, it's horribly different. The camera angle is "bird's-eye" view instead of the usual (and more appropriate) "behind-the-car" view. This makes it hard to see what coming ahead of you and you will be crashing very often. Secondly, the control is scheme is absolutely HORRENDOUS!! You would expect that a game like this would use the nunchuck, wii wheel or sideways-held wii remote. Wrong. In order to actually drive, you need to point the wii remote at the screen and twist it left or right for steering. WHAT CAR HAS THAT KIND OF STEERING?? Anyway, lets move on to actual gameplay. The game is as short as its manual (which by the way is only four pages, excluding the credits page). There are 3 game modes, Single race, Time Trials, and Challenge mode (which is the equivalent of a Championship mode). There hardly any difference between any of the race courses. They all take place in the exact same environment every time and the courses have NO NAME, so it's very hard to tell what course you're about to play. The RCs themselves also have little differences other than their stats and paint-job. The car models are all exactly the same and aren't very exciting. Overall, this game is very repetitive, irritating, bland, poor graphics for a new-gen console game, and overall the worst RC racing game I've ever played. If you're looking for RC racing action, pick up another title like "RC Revenge Pro" or something, but AVOID this one.
it is good game for everybody to play racing game for any age to play this game and its cool about this is the game is sounds
one big mess
well this could have been fun if this used a nunchuck or a gamecube controller, but this is just a big mess because you have to point the remote at the screen and twist the remote. this makes the game control badly and not to mention the fact that you can get stuck in odd places. so, try to avoid this and get better games
Never made it off the first track the controls are so sensitive the slightest quiver sent me crashing. The idea was cute your little toy car has to contend with rulers pencils and other over sized objects as it speed along the course . The graphics were better then expected. The sound has no music only sound effects. If the sensibility was turned down and they added some actual music it could be fun.
